“Ngh... This the best ya got?” Jesse grunted defiantly while Alicia squeezed her torso between her mighty legs. The hold hurt considerably more than her words were letting on, but she didn’t want to give her foe that impression.

Could the blonde last all day in that position? Probably not, which was why freeing her hands was so important here. Well, she got her wish, but at a hefty cost. Jesse’s left wrist was released, but practically at the same moment her right arm was hyperextended while Alicia’s hips thrust up against her chest!

Jesse cried out in pain as Alicia locked her armbar in, and immediately her mild struggles turned into an all out, frantic attempt to squirm and wriggle out of this deadly spot. Her legs kicked and thrashed about in search of the ropes, and free hand balled into a fist while hammering down at Alicia’s ribs. Unfortunately the limited movement she was allowed kept her from getting a ton of force behind her fist, but she desperately hoped the repeated shots would be enough to make Alicia let go of her arm, or that one of her feet would miraculously find one of the bottom ropes to force a rope break.

While Alicia’s armbar wasn’t the best she’d ever sunk in, it was still fulfilling the basic definition of the hold. She had Jesse’s elbow well and truly hyperextended, forced back on the fulcrum of her wide, curvy hips, and the other woman’s reaction showed that it was every bit as devastating as she’d hoped it would be. Besides which, given the pressure she was still exerting on the ribs too, she didn’t think she could blame the blonde for finding it less than comfortable.

Not that it was going to stop her wrenching that arm back further until the joint creaked or squeezing as hard as she could.

She wouldn’t expect anything else if their positions were reversed.

Instead, Jesse was doing the only things she really could, given everything. Behind her, Alicia could see her feet stretching out in search of the ropes. And she’d started drilling short, sharp punches into the redhead’s ribs as best she could given the awkward angle she was being forced to work with. One, two, five weren’t that much of a problem.

But it didn’t look like Jesse was planning to stop any time soon and, sooner or later, she was going to feel it.

In the end though, it didn’t matter. Alicia didn’t have to decide because – at that moment, one of Jesse’s questing feet brushed the bottom rope. The referee, definitely on the ball, called for the break and the kickboxer instantly complied. She released the arm, uncoiled her legs and scooted back to rise to her feet, rubbing briefly at the sore spot where her ribs had been hammered.

Well, that ought to give her an edge in the striking game for a bit.

“Nononono.... C’MON, JESS! HANG IN THERE!” Julia yelled out from ringside. She didn’t understand the Jesse or Alicia’s fighting style nearly as she did that of lucha libre, but you didn’t have to be an mma specialist to see Jesse was in some real pain and equally serious trouble between Alicia’s thighs with her arm seemingly on the verge of warranting the use of a cast in the very near future.

But hang on Jesse did. She grit her teeth, pounded away at Alicia’s body, and kicked about for the ropes relentlessly. For a moment it almost seemed hopeless, then a tremendous wave of relief washed over the moment she felt her foot hit a rope. Those lethal legs of her foes uncoiled, and for a moment Jesse just laid there, gasping and nursing her arm. Her ribs were quite sore too, but the arm had sustained the most damage here.

Was it broken? No, or at least it didn’t seem to be. Might’ve pulled a muscle though. She could still use it, but not nearly as much as before, which particularly sucked because she was right handed. So now she basically had her legs and her left arm to rely on against a foe she already had somewhat of a handicap against. Fantastic.

“Ugh. Goddammit...” she grunted in frustration while reaching out to grab the ropes with her good arm so she could pull herself back up to her feet, though how far she’d get depended on whether or not Alicia was willing to let her stand again.

Jesse Rogers vs Alicia Wells - Page 3 Empty Re: Jesse Rogers vs Alicia Wells

Just like her approach to the crowd nine times out of ten, the big kickboxer wasn’t paying any attention to Jesse’s cheerleading squad at ringside. Her dark gaze was focused intently on her opponent, and that was it. The world outside the ring just didn’t matter.

That had been a useful hold. She’d clearly done a number on the arm in particular, which would make getting at the right side of the blonde’s torso so much easier.

She was actually also kind of glad Jesse had found the ropes. Winning like that wouldn’t have been that satisfying.

Jesse needn’t have worried about sneak attacks though. As was her wont, Alicia hadn’t interfered at all as the blonde first nursed her wounded arm and then went to pull herself up. As far as she was concerned, a rope break meant a break – she backed off until the other wrestler was ready to continue. Besides, there wasn’t any point in rushing things, right? She was having fun, relishing the give and take of a fight against someone well-matched with her own skills. True, she could just have gone right back to stomping Jesse, but no.

So, instead the redhead just waited, limbs in a loose combat stance, and watched as Jesse made it to her feet. Only then did Alicia move back in, her feet covering the ground quickly without rushing right into any traps Jesse might be planning. Once she’d hit kicking range for her, she twisted, snapping her left leg up in a powerful blow aimed at the ribs she’d just been punishing. That wouldn’t feel at all good if it connected and she really doubted Jesse’d appreciate having it hit her wounded arm either.

Jesse Rogers vs Alicia Wells - Page 3 Empty Re: Jesse Rogers vs Alicia Wells

She didn’t offer a “thank you,” but Jesse did appreciate that Alicia hadn’t rushed her before she was back up. A lot of people out there would’ve taken advantage of that moment of vulnerability to throw a cheap shot. Granted, just because Alicia let her up didn’t mean Jesse’s situation had suddenly turned around for the better. She was still up against a heavier and stronger foe, with one good arm and a set of already aching ribs. The blonde was in a bad spot and needed to turn things around before they got any further out of control.

And unfortunately, while Alicia had let her stand back up, that seemed to be the extent of her foe’s generosity. The girl was quickly coming right back in on the attack, and Jesse had no choice but to throw up her guard immediately. That in and of itself was uncomfortable to do with her bad arm. And smartly, Alicia’s next attack went straight to that side.

Jesse didn’t have any time at all to think things out. All she knew was she didn’t want her arm getting kicked by one of those powerful legs. She brought up her arm to avoid the leg, but that unfortunately left her ribs wide open.

“GAH!!!” she cried out at the impact. Her ribs were already hurting and that damn sure didn’t help things in that regard. She’d definitely need to check with the trainers to make sure none were broken once this was all over. But taking that dose of agony might’ve opened a door for her at the same time. Right after the kick connected, Jesse attempted to clamp her arm back down around the leg to trap it in place. The intense impact made her stumble to the side a bit, which would hopefully bring Alicia stumbling right with her on one leg.

If she could keep a hold of the trapped limb, Jesse would try to balance herself as quickly as possible, before attempting to kick at the back of Alicia’s grounded leg in hopes of knocking the girl back down. From there she could attempt to sling her legs around Alicia’s and lay back while applying a kneebar.

Jesse Rogers vs Alicia Wells - Page 3 Empty Re: Jesse Rogers vs Alicia Wells

As Alicia’d thought, in a choice between her ribs and her arm, Jesse’d gone for the bodypart that wouldn’t help her win the fight. Smart choice, so long as she stayed out of any more scissors.

But her moment of satisfaction wasn’t allowed to last long because she wasn’t even allowed to pull her leg back. Jesse was just as quick to react as she was, and her arm snapped down to keep Alicia’s foot in place. Under normal circumstances, this wasn’t a problem – legs outpowered arms and the redhead would be able to yank her limb free, particularly after the armbar.

But the stumble she’d just sent Jesse into wrecked her own balance too and then there was a kick flashing in at her own leg.

Caught very literally on the hop, there wasn’t anything Alicia could really do to defend the kick. And so it was her turn to have her base taken out from under her, dropping the big redhead on her backside with a thump that had her wincing – more from the kick than the drop. But it wasn’t enough to distract her from the rather more vital fact that Jesse still had her leg trapped and that wasn’t promising at all. Anyone who’d done any mixed martial arts knew all sorts of leglock submissions that could be about to follow – none of them helpful to her chances of winning the match.

If Jesse was down an arm and Alicia down a leg, she knew who’d got the better of that exchange.

So, she started thrashing, doing her best to kick her pinned limb free of Jesse’s grasp or to use her free leg to batter her way out or make securing her hold more trouble than it was worth. At the same time, she began to rock from side to side, looking to get closer to the ropes. If she couldn’t stop Jesse getting a lock, the least she could do was make sure she couldn’t keep it for any longer than the bare minimum.

Jesse Rogers vs Alicia Wells - Page 3 Empty Re: Jesse Rogers vs Alicia Wells

Post by LARIATO Sat May 14, 2016 11:20 pm

Jesse had already learned her opponent was no fool, but that didn’t make it any less frustrating for the blonde when she’d knocked Alicia down only for the girl to thrash around to prevent her from locking in the kneebar. “Ngh! Hold still dammit!” she said while hanging onto the limb for dear life. Not that she expected Alicia to comply anyway.

Though at the same time, Alicia’s free leg began to hammer against her body. One heavy shot caught her right on the thigh, another on the stomach, and one on her hip. Each hit drew a fresh grunt of pain from Jesse’s lips, but she intended to show she was every bit as stubborn as Alicia, if not even more so! She endured the defensive onslaught thrown at her, but once her foe started to roll and look for the ropes, Jesse knew she was on the clock.

Once again the blonde attempted to sling her legs around Alicia’s and lay out on the mat to apply the kneebar, desperately hoping she could get it applied before her opponent made it to the ropes. Now on top of the pain in her ribs and arm, she was bound to have various assorted bruises sustained just from trying to get this damn hold locked in! Was it in fact worth it to go through all of that for this hold? Well, she was about to find out...

Alicia definitely had no intentions of holding still, no matter how convenient it’d be for Jesse. At this point, given what the other wrestler was trying, she was pretty certain the blonde was going for a kneebar. Alicia knew kneebars, they were a favourite hold of hers, and she had a hefty appreciation for the damaging effect they could have on an opponent’s legs. That just gave her even more incentive to keep on struggling, twisting them towards the ropes and keeping up that barrage of kicks.

They weren’t anywhere near as effective as they might have been but, well, it was what she’d got.

It wasn’t pretty but if it kept Jesse from sinking the lock, she’d take it. If the blonde got her hold in, one of two things was going to happen. Either Alicia got to the ropes or she’d be tapping before that happened. Kneebars were nasty.

So she kept twisting, kept moving, trying to use her trapped leg to yank Jesse off balance or get it free, kept kicking and just grimly kept trying to get to the ropes. At the very least, she was having to burn more of her reserves than she’d like here, but it was a price she was willing to pay if it kept her knee intact. Nor was this a comfortable position for her at all. As best she could, the big redhead tried to see where the ropes were - how much further could they be?!

The way Jesse clung onto Alicia’s leg amidst the ruthless barrage of heavy upkicks was reminiscent to a captain holding onto the mast of a ship being slammed into by large waves in a thunderstorm. The trapped leg refused to stay still while the free one hammered repeatedly into various parts of Jesse’s body. Her face cringed up at the painful impacts, yet still she held on.

When Jesse finally dropped down and slung her legs fully latch onto Alicia’s trapped limb and apply the kneebar, she felt a big wave of pride overtake her for managing to weather the storm. But that moment lasted all of about half a second. And then...

“Break!”

Yes, the ref was calling for a ropebreak. Jesse looked up, and saw that Alicia had indeed found the ropes, likely at the exact instant she’d finally attempted to lock the hold in.

“Son of a bitch!” she yelled out in extreme frustration while letting go of the hold and rolling away. The blonde raised her good fist and slammed it down hard onto the mat. That was quite a bit of energy that had gone down the drain and an equal amount of painful strikes sustained, and no reward had come of it.

“Head in the game, Jess! Ya got her down once, ya can do it again!” Julia cheered on from ringside, trying to keep her sister’s morale up. Jesse just grunted and pushed herself back to her feet, glaring at Alicia.

“Come on, bitch. Lets go.” she said, motioning with her hands for Alicia to come at her as the blonde retook her stance. She started hopping lighlty back and forth on the balls of her taped up feet, trying to take her mind off of the small collection of stinging pains she’d received all over her body that would soon develop into quite noticeable bruises.

Keep rolling, keep kicking, keep going for the ropes.

That was all the redhead could think of. It was all she was allowing herself to think as Jesse just kept trying to sink her hold. Sooner or later, the grimly determined blonde was going to manage it as she proved but just a heartbeat too late as her fingers found the rope just in time.

The ref was on the ball, thank God, and Jesse broke the hold in clear frustration. Nobody could blame her for that.

For her part Alicia – despite herself – couldn’t help but let a thin sigh of relief escape as Jesse rolled away. That had been close. Far, far closer than she’d liked and if she hadn’t found the ropes at that second- well, she wasn’t dwelling on might have beens. Instead, the big redhead rose into a crouch and then to her feet, pausing a moment to shake off the tiny cramps from all that squirming before it could settle in and really impact her performance.

So, Jesse wasn’t just a striker. The blonde had some mat game too and clearly had some ideas about which weapons of Alicia’s she wanted to neutralise. Useful to know as the kickboxer settled back into her own stance and began to close in on her opponent, circling to put herself firmly in Jesse’s right side if the other woman didn’t turn. She hadn’t openly reacted to the comment thrown her way but there was a newfound hardness to her eyes as she moved in.

Still, this was a good fight against a good opponent and Alicia was going to enjoy it even if the blonde was making it personal.

She didn’t rush, leading with a kick aimed at the back or side of Jesse’s leg to close the distance for a pair of jabs at her head.
