"Hey, is that the halftime show or something?"

Shido noticed a guy that seemed like an announcer down by the ice with a microphone, preparing to make an announcement. It was only the end of the first period, but hockey and most other sports weren't something Shido grasped immediately.

"Were there any events planned for the middle of the game? I only came here cause I got free tickets. But maybe you have a schedule or something?" Shido inquired with Lita, hoping to find answers.

From what Sion could tell it was one of those on ice contests. Usually done during the 2nd intermission and not the first but it didn't seem too out of place. It was one of those contests where two people shoot at a net that has a small target in front of. He looked as he got up and walked away, which both contestants weren't able to do it. Though they would do one more during the next one where the prize would be even bigger since nobody won during this round. And the people that would be participating would be the ones Daisuke and Shido were occupying.

Both Lina and Lita grinned a bit, finding some humour with this. "No pressure kid" Lita teased him as she got up as well. Sion catches up with Daisuke as she finishes up her thing and informs her of the news. She sounds interested and finds out where to go when the time comes close for her to give it a go, and that the new guy will be joining her. They thought of getting getting something else to eat before setting back down, which if they Shido didn't join them Lita would mention what to do at the end of the second for when he and Dai get to try the same thing. But there is still another period of hockey before that happens.

Shido pointed to himself in confusion upon hearing he was selected for this contest. "Huh....me?" He would say in response to Lita's teasing, unsure of what all this would entail. He would try to use the remaining time in the intermission to seek advice and figure out what he was getting himself into. He started with Daisuke, since she was selected as well.

"So uh, how's this gonna go down? If it's trivia or anything like that, can you do all the work and I'll pay you back with more ice cream?" He said in jest, though he genuinely hoped it wasn't going to be a trivia game

From what Daisuke was told from Sion is looks like won't be anything like that. "From my understanding it's like what they did when I was in the washroom. Just shoot the puck at the tiny hole." Sion then adds "And it looks like you two are against each other." When they head back to watch the second period he would tell Shido "Try not to think about it too hard, you'll be alright." On the way back they were also informed where to meet with a few minutes remaining so they had lots of time still.

Shido would pass the time waiting for the event by becoming informed and figuring out the rules. After he became aware of how things worked, he inquired about whether or not he could shoot a puck at all.

"So what is the act of shooting a puck like, at all? I've never done it before. Could you help me get the motion down?" Shido would gesture and try to emulate what he had seen the hocket players do. He'd stand and pretend to hold a stick, trying what he perceived to be a slapshot and gesturing awkwardly, hoping to make some progress and get some direction from his newfound friends.

Lita asks him if he can recall watching what those did in the first contest earlier. They didn't look like complicated shots, plus the target they were aiming at was smaller. "Don't worry about it too much, you'll be fine." Lina tells him. There was still a lot of time before he and Daisuke had to go so and Daisuke was paying attention to the game more than what Shido was talking about with the others as the game was starting again.

Shido appreciated Lita's pep talk. It helped him mellow out a bit and try to take on this contest without being so nervous about it. He leaned over the Daisuke and asked "How are you feeling about this whole thing, Dai? How much food can you buy with the money we win?"

Daisuke gave him a small shrug and said "I don't even know what we're playing for so I can't really say." Regardless if Shido said something or not he better have kept an eye on the game as a puck got shot and deflected out of play and was coming there way. The way it was coming at them it may have caught him in the face if Lita didn't stick her hand out in front of him and catch it. She did feel the vibration of it slamming against the back of her hand, but it didn't hurt her enough to drop it.

She moves her other hand through her hair before placing it on her upper leg for a moment and ponders what she's going to do with it. She could give it to her boy friend Yamato, or maybe a kid near by if there was one, which the closest kid at that point was maybe a section or two away from there. The thought didn't enter her mind right there but if Shido asked her for it she might give that some thought.

"Wow, that was pretty darn cool the way you caught that puck....that doesn't hurt? Are you ok?" Shido would inquire, concerned about whether or not the puck hurt Lita.

He didn't quite remember what the prize was, but right now, addressing her health took priority for him. After asking, he realized that none of her friends seemed too fazed by it, so it couldn't have taken too much of a toll on her. "Perhaps she was just that used to playing hockey?", he thought.

"Yeah I'm alright." Lina took a look at her hand, which it tensed up for a couple of seconds with how Lina grabbed it so sudden. Other than maybe a small puck marking nothing seemed to be visually concerning. "I wouldn't know about that" Sion mentions "But it's not like she was sitting near the net and the puck gets shot through the glass and she does the same thing. Then again I wouldn't be surprised if she did hold her ground, which that for sure would leave a mark."

"Wasn't that much velocity behind it anyway it" Lita commented even though it did still had some but not as much before it left the ice. Daisuke teasefully pokes him in the shoulder and says "Not even going to say thank you to the woman who saved your life?" Of course if it did smack him in the face it wouldn't have killed him but might have knocked him loopy for a little bit.
