Jay saw she didn't look amused. Jay looked away, down to the floor. "Yeah. I-I dont know. Um...." He bit his lip and looked around the house. "Is this your house? Why is is all the way across the ocean?"

"Well....I lived alone in a tree house up until about 17. And then I walked around the country. I went to the AFW after." He made a small pause. "And now I stay between my AFW apartment and with my adoptive mothers. Both of them." Oh shit. What a good way to tell Lina he had 2 mothers.

She had a feeling he didn't have a typical upbringing, which the news of living in a tree house confirmed that, though she still wanted to know how come that was. Though with the added revealing of having two adoptive mothers she wanted to know more details about how that came about.

She figured his story might be long so before he said anything she would ask him if he wanted anything, which if was something small like a drink or something light to munch on she'd have no problem getting it.

He would have to tell Lina eventually. She was someone that he considers close to him. "S-Someone water would be fine. Thank you, Lina..."

Avte she would come back and get comfortable enough, he takes a deep breath and exhale. "So...Where do you want me to start?"

"I'll start with my mothers. They came into my life recently. My friend found them and brought us together. They moved out to Japan and I stay with them sometimes. I...It just feels good to actuallybhave parents. Not just being on your own for 20 years or so..." He stopped to take a sip of water. "Theyre very nice women."

"Before I went to Japan, I lived in a small town. Dont remember how I got there. But I had like in a tree house in the forest for as long as I remember. "

After taking in what he's told her so far Lina would ask him how come he has two mothers, like if one was the biological one and the other is her partner or if they're both adoptive or something like that. The part of him living in a tree house does sound a bit concerning to her. She'll also ask him to continue.

"No. They are both adoptive parents. I still dont really know who my biological parents are. I would like to know who they are but, Im fine with having two mothers for now."

Again he took in some water. "At about 17, I left what little of a home I had and began to travel the United States. I went almost coast to coast doing odd jobs here and there for food and shelter."

Hearing what he went through sounded troubling. Of course she can tell there was a good ending in the sense that he's still here. Still hearing about what he's been through to get to this point did bother her and she had an obvious look of concern on her face, becoming more so with each revealed detail.
