The Blue Stonewall

Staunch on her feet, Tessa held a quick, slightly effective guard as Stonewall closed the gap, trying to seemingly take her head off her shoulders. The knee however, would find it's mark, removing the guard and forcing Tessa to keel over somewhat, hand on waist, the other falling to her side.

Her opponent immediately going for a grip of her hair, Tessa would try to find a brace but instead found herself forced forward, head going down to the mat, her free arm preventing some of the face first impact but not all of it.

Stonewall would finish her running bulldog move and it worked to her advantage. Tessa's face had felt most of the impact and it showed along with the other strikes to the gut. Stonewall now felt that she can continue her lead with another submission, so she would attempt to quickly sit on Tessa's back to hold her down while facing the back of her head.

If this worked, she would also grab the arms and put them over her knees before grabbing under her chin and pulling her opponent's head up. The camel clutch would most likely affect the head and lower back once Stonewall succeeds.

Stonewall seemed intent on pushing the rookie, hoping on her back the near moment Tessa hit the floor. Her free arm that held her face up somewhat would try to stay tucked however, desperately trying to prevent both arms being yanked back.

"G..Get off!" Tessa would murmer, already one arm brought back, she'd damn well make Stonewall fight to pull the other one.

Stonewall was on her way to putting Tessa in the camel clutch, but at this moment, Tessa was trying to prevent her arms from being pulled back. Stonewall knew that if she didn't get those arms over her sitting knees, then Tessa would use them to fight her way out of the hold. With that in mind, she was determined to try to get that other arm back quickly before pulling under her opponent's chin.

If this worked, Stonewall would make sure Tessa feels it from her head to her lower back.

Tessa's arm would essentially be hugging her own chest, as it went around her own front and clenched her shoulder.

"No...Nugh...NO!" She'd roar out as Stonewall repeatedly made efforts to gain her other arm. Knowing that given the power of her foe, that eventually she'd catch said arm no matter how hard Tessa tried, she knew a switch up was desperately needed. Trying to push on her legs somewhat, she'd try to force her way to her knees, even with Stonewall still above her straddling her sides, in an attempt to find an escape.

As Stonewall continued trying to get that arm, she could feel Tessa moving from under her. She realized that the longer this hold was being stalled, the easier it was for the other girl to try and find a way out of it. If Tessa was going to switch up, Stonewall should try the same. So, she would forget the other arm and attempt to just grab under her chin and pull up for an improvised camel clutch.

If this worked, Stonewall could at least get some damage in before Tessa get her off.

Forced into a one-armed camel clutch as it were, Tessa groaned. She might of being able to avoid the full variant, with both arms trapped, but the pain that would of been exerted on them was instead focused on fewer targets. She'd groan, laying in the hold a moment.

With her free arm though, she'd suddenly try to push, trying her best to roll over, to be free of the hold, and of course allow for a more defensive posture.

Stonewall managed to get Tessa in the hold at least for a while, doing her best to ensure that she feels it on the neck and lower back. She continued to pull until she felt her opponent starting to push against the mat. Tessa is intending to roll over in order to break the hold. Stonewall would go with her and she was forced to release her before scrambling to get back up.

She too would get in a defensive stance as she said to her, "You're definitely a stubborn one, ain't ya?" She wanted to get closer for she wanted to throw more of her punches.

The hold more of a desperate than an effective one, the hold still had the benefit of briefly cranking Tessa's back painfully, something that was evident as the girl would stand, trying to shake the kink out in her spine. Arms matching, in somewhat similar fashion, she'd yell back.

"Didn't think it would be that easy now, did you?" Somewhat giggling.

Stonewall giggled back as she replied, "Of course not, but I like that. Come on. Again!"" She can tell that the improvised hold was able to do some damage if not a lot to her opponent. Now she needs to ensure that her next move does a more effective blow than the last. But at the same time, she must prepare to improvise just in case.

Stonewall would bounce a little as she closed some distance in with Tessa. Once she got close enough, she would attempt to fake a left hook before giving a sucker punch to the gut. If this worked and made Tessa double over, then she would also give a rising knee strike to the head for a two-hit combo.
