Silver Ace vs. Abattoir

Right at the apex of the Storm Cradle Driver, an elbow came out of nowhere and dizzied Abattoir.  In her haste to hold the half nelson she'd left the other arm free, and now it had sabotaged the move.  And the second she let go...

Ace had countered perfectly.  The two of them hung in the air for one picturesque moment while camera flashes lit up the arena, and then they hit the mat and it was like a bomb had gone off.  Abattoir bounced off her front, turning in midair and landing on her side, where she...well, less rolled and more slid onto her back and stared blankly up at the lights with dazed, wide-pupiled eyes.

Somewhere through the haze of what'd just happened to her, her brain registered that Silver Ace had not only beaten the count, she'd countered both of the nak muay's finishers, and in its dazed state it was really only eloquent enough to conclude 'that was pretty awesome'.

Under the fog from being hit with the Ace Crusher, Abattoir became aware that she was being pinned.

"TWO!"

Oh shit, she hadn't even registered the one-count. The nak muay blinked dizzily, channeling all of her reserves for the big kickout. She focused on her right shoulder and willed it to heave upwards, breaking the count just in time...except it didn't. In fact, the only movement she could get out of it was a twitch.

"THREE!"

The crowd, naturally, blew the roof off the arena, leaping to their feet with cheers and chants all over the place. It'd been a hard-fought win for sure, and they loved seeing their heroes come from behind and pull out the big win.

Steadily, the world began to come back into focus. That wasn't her music playing, and considering this was the kind of state somebody only entered when they got knocked out, it was pretty obvious what'd just happened. Abattoir closed her eyes for a moment, then opened them again, staring up at the bright lights. Whoof. Maybe she'd just stay down here for a few minutes.

She was distantly aware of the acknowledgement, though, and as Ace glanced down, she raised an arm slightly to do a little 'here's to you' gesture. "Yeah. Good fight."
