Problems with the board

At the moment I've heard from a couple of people that they are having problems with the board, either not being able to log on or post or something... I myself get a problem where when ever I post PMs, it goes to a blank screen as if it hasn't been posted.

All the problems seem rather random, but I still think they must be related. Anyway wanted to let you know that you are not the only one in case you have been experiencing difficulties recently

Ah, good to know I'm not the only one then. >.o;
I was wondering why it was happening this morning before leaving to work. I thought it was just the storm or somethng going by in my part of the world, but then realized all the other sites were fine ._.;
I hope this problem fixes up soon. I just joined and it just seems I came in at a bad time. Dx

Some of these problems have already been mentioned on the informe support forum so its a global issue. I'm sure they'll get it resolved in good time

If people are having posting, there is a way to post without losing it. If you post and you are redirected into a blank page, simply click the refresh button. If you are sent to a log in page, log in again and go back to the page that you posted, and click refresh. Your post should go through.

Ok people think I've figured a way to post that works about 80% of the time although its annoying, it'll have to do until informe fix the problem:

-go to the thread you want to post on (while logged out)
-click the "post reply" button, it should says you must log in and gives you the login fields to do so...
-type in your username and password and click always log me in...
-It takes you to a blank page or a page saying "Page could not be displayed" depending on what browser you are using...
-Then you must click back one page (you should be back on the page for you to log in)
-then click refresh... It should then bring up the blank post area and should send.

You'll also find that after using this method you can post anywhere... But each time it will ask you to input a "Confirmation code" to do so... However as soon as you go to the AFW front page, or to your PM inbox, or "view your posts" , it will log you out again...

You can use the "Jump to" scroll down menus at the bottom of each forum in order to navigate to other forums if need be.

Looks like this method isn't working for quite a few people, please expect delays in post until this gets fixed

Well, it makes sense. This board has always been annoying. I imagine they're trying to integrate captchas... what with the random verification word prompts and asinine questions... or something like that.

I've never been able to have Automatically Log In checked because it would always log me in the first time I visit but I'd come unlogged whenever I clicked on a page.

Still, the forums work. You just have to fidget with them and keep logging in, going back, and retrying what you keyed in. From the looks of it, you only get about 5 or so link clicks or submissions in the site before you have to log in again, so just log in. Refresh to actually STAY logged in. Go back twice to go back to what you were doing. Refresh THAT if you don't have a text box, and type up what you need. Submit. Repeat from the top if the submission requires you to log in again.

There's a method to this nonsense, and you can get what you want submitted with a dash of internets know-how and the will to keep trying until the damn thing sticks.

Still, reminder again for anyone new, I'm not old enough here to say this as anything but a history lesson I got from Kelsea, but AFW has been cursed to go through several different forums, many of them crashing with little to no warning. Back up your stuff and try to make sure you've got enough contact info and maybe getting into the Google group or whatever handy that in the event that this place crashes, you can still stay in touch.

It looks like everything is fixed now. Posting and logging in has been restored to normal, without any confirmation codes.

holy shit.... it let me log in.... now lets see how long it will be intill it loges me out.. but wow.. damn I'm happy I wasn't the only one with this probem..
