"Are you not an angel?" Annelle responded. "Are you not one of the heavenly host? Would one of your kind allow herself to be beaten down like this?"

With that, she abruptly stood up and released Seraph, walking away from her. "Stand up and fight. Otherwise, you simply aren't worth my time."

Seraph blinked at Annelle's words. Did she WANT to lose or something. Regardless, her words started to inspire her a little bit, starting to climb up to her feet, despite the hellacious torture she's been through already, panting heavily but stared her down, clenching her teeth underneath her lips, awaiting the demoness to strike again.

Contrary to Seraph's expectations, however, Annelle did not attack. Instead, eying the angel girl coldly, she raised her hands in an obvious gesture for a lockup.

Seraph started to raise her arms for a lock up, then whimpered as she was forced to lower her left arm back down again. It was useless now, possibly even broken. She clenched her teeth, then started to rush at her, hoping to slam her head into her gut, getting desperate to get just one blow in on this demoness.

Seraph surprised Annelle by charging in and slamming shoulder-first into the demoness' gut, causing her to grunt and stagger back a few steps. Annelle looked back up at her opponent, something close to a smile lighting her lips.

Personally, she didn't care one way or another about giving Seraph a fighting chance. She still intended to crush her, both in body and in spirit. However, it was always more fun to do so when the prey was actually fighting back...

Seraph blinked at Annelle when she smiled after taking that hit, but she shook her head, darting in towards her and tried for an uppercut with her good arm, or rather the one she could use at the moment

To Seraph's surprise, Annelle seemed to let Seraph hit her, sending her head snapping back. Turning back to face her with a trickle of blood coming from the corner of her mouth, Annelle struck back, sending a right hook at Seraph's face.

Seraph gasped as Annelle struck back, but for once she could actually see the move coming at her and quickly ducked underneath her, trying to send a kick to her gut afterwards, starting to build her confidence up against this woman.

The kick to the gut hammered Annelle hard, sending her double over. And yet, in spite of all of this, Annelle was still smiling. Without losing stride, she sent a kick back at Seraph, aiming to hammer her in the kneecap.

Seraph looked surprised when she managed to make her double over, however a bit of the surprise was killed when she saw her smiling again. She made a small eeping noise when she suddenly saw her swinging a foot for her, trying to jump back as quick as she could to avoid the kick to her knee.
