Sarah stretched her neck from side to side to relieve the tension that had built up there. She didn't know why she was nervous. This should just be another fight to her. Except now it was for a shot at the Title Belt. She had only won a few matches, but apparently the league officials had liked the display of violence and brutality she brought to the ring, and asked her to join in the upcoming tournament. And now here she was. Why? She didn't know. She had joined this league by accident, and now they were giving her a shot at the championship?

"Whatever," Sarah muttered to herself. For now she was waiting for her to be introduced, and trying to calm the butterflies in her stomach.

"Ladies and gentlemen!" Sarah heard the ring announcer shout. "Welcome to the next match in round one of the Friction Belt Tournament!" A loud cheer went up amongst the crowd. It sounded like there were a lot of people. "Now, our first competitor in this match. A relatively new player to the AFW scene, she's already carved herself a fearsome reputation!" Sarah smiled to herself backstage. "You love her, you hate her, she has a mean right hook...."

Damn straight, Sarah thought snidely.

"Saaaraaaaaaah Gaaaaaaaaaatttt!"

The chorus to Airbourne's 'Too much, too young, too fast,' started to play immediately after the daring introduction. Sarah let out a sigh, put on her signature dark smile and strode out of the entrance. She wore her usual outfit, consisting of her fingerless gloves, heavy boots and her favourite leather jacket, underneath which was a red one-piece. As soon she was outside Sarah saw what the difference was between this match and all the others she had been in. The size of the arena and the amount of people that had gathered was staggering. She couldn't belive how loud the fans were and was almost blinded by the number of camera flashes going off.

Sarah shock and nervousness was quickly replaced with anticipation. "Not bad."

With that in mind Sarah made her way down the ramp. The crowd cheered and many reached out in the hopes she would touch them. But Sarah ignored them all, eyes only for the ring where her battle would take place.

She jumped in the ring and stalked about it, as if memorizing its every detail. Only then did she stop and look out into the crowd, gave a grin and raised her arm, curling her fingers into the sign of the devil. The crowd went wild, and many of them saluted her with the same thing. Now that she was confident again, Sarah would watch the entrance way, waiting eagerly for her opponant.

Jenna walked towards the ring and sighed. She couldn't believe the staff had picked her. What had she done that was so great? Nevertheless, this was a very important moment in her life, one she had dreamt of for quite some time.

"And now for our second contestant!" the announcer shouted, "All the way from Canada, she has trained in the mountains for crying out loud! Put your hands together for JENNNNNNNNNNNNA MASSSSSSSSSON!!!!!"

Jenna slowly approached the ring as the crowd cheered wildly. She had certainly earned herself quite the reputation, that's for sure. She slowly entered the ring and sighed thinking, 'This is it. Don't screw up.'

Trained in the mountains? Sarah repeated in her head. You gotta be fuckin' kidding me.

When her opponant Jenna Mason entered the ring Sarah sized her up. She didn't look all that strong. But looks could be decieving. They choose her to be in the tournament for a reason after all. Still, Sarah never lost that arrogance that her made......well, her.

"Out of curiosity," Sarah said to her would be opponant, smiling mockingly. "What did you do in the mountains?"

Jenna smiled and said, "Well, since you asked so nicely, I may as well fill you in. I would climb them at least five times a day, practice balancing on the tips... oh, I also practised putting cuts in trees with my bare hands... oh wait, that was in the forest..."

The ref stood there, sighing impatiently waiting for the two to stop talking.

Sarah rolled her eyes. "So in other words, you were Tarzan, queen of the apes." Sarah grinned her mischievous grin. "Did you wrestle up some grizzlies while you were at it?" She had no idea whether what the girl was saying was true or not, but Sarah couldn't resist poking fun at it.

"Please, I am not one to fight animals," Jenna replied as the ref got tired of this banter and rang the bell, Jenna charging towards Sarah preparing a karate chop.

"Oh? Well I got news for you, sweetheart." Sarah grinned even wider. "You just stepped in the ring with one." The bell rung before Sarah could give more insults, and Jenna was suddenly charging right at her. Sarah grinned, would duck under the karate chop and drive her elbow into the girl's stomach. If it struck true and Jenna hunched over as a result, Sarah would immediately follow up and knee her in the face.

Jenna's eyes went wide as she cringed, taking in the elbow to the gut. Jenna hunched over and received a knee to the face, falling onto her back. The crowd was amazed. That was very quick.

Sarah casually brushed some of her red hair from her face. "Bet none of the grizzlies could do that," she chuckled. While Jenna was down she would remove her leather jacket then drape it over the ring post in her corner. After that she would face Jenna again. "Alright," she said, stretching her neck side to side. "I'm ready to get serious now."

Jenna let out a weak smile that was almost unnoticable and whipped out her legs. If Sarah was unable to see this coming, Jenna would latch her legs around Sarah's and drag her down onto her back.
