To the back!

Amethyst skipped through the AFW arena's backstage halls. The Violent Violet wore a gleeful look on her face, a wide grin and a bright sparkle in her eyes. She had just finished watching her lover Valley Doll kick the ass of some Russian wannabe! Seeing Valley kick Natasha's ass excited Amethyst, and so she decided to personally go congratulate the blonde!

She thought it would be a nice surprise for her, considering how long it had been since the two of them had seen each other!

She headed around a corner, towards the locker rooms where she assumed that Valley would be, and instantly stopped in her tracks, staring straight forward. There was Valley, looking as fantastic as always, but with her was...Silver Ace?! That literal nobody?! What the hell was she doing here?!

Quick as a wink, Amethyst darted back behind the corner, listening to the two women, trying to spy on their conversation, wondering just what the hell was going on with Valley and Ace!

Haley snorted, she couldn't help it, Valley was just being too cute and excited for her not to start laughing.

"Val, I thought I was supposed to be the young and immature one here? We can go out, although you'd have to stop by my place before or after, because you have to meet Rai, he's so adorable!"

For some reason, the mention of being 'young and immature' brought an image of the two of them doing a teacher/student scenario to Valley's mind. With Haley in a Catholic Schoolgirl outfit and Valley in a suit stolen right out of Ms. Spencer's closet.

This did not help her calm down.

"I'll stop by and get Valentine on the way, he needs to be around other cats more. It's good for him." She bit her lip, doing her best not to let out a girlish squeal. She got a little closer to Haley and shared in the laugh. "I'm sorry, yeah. I'm just...I'm happy. For the first time in a long time, I'm really, completely happy. This is the rare moment in life where I can't think of anything really wrong about where I am. It feels good."

If Haley had any idea what was going through her ex's head at the moment, it would have made her blush and laugh at the same time...before agreeing to it with gusto.

Instead she just wrapped her around the blonde and gave her a hug.

"That's awesome! I'm glad everything is going well for you! You deserve to be happy Valley, and if your happy, then I'm happy too."

She said, leaning in and giving Valley a brief, small, peck on the cheek.

Over the last several months, Amethyst had tried to be a good girl. She had tried to stay out of trouble, and tried not to attack and beat up random rookies in the hallways! She really had! She was proud of herself, and she thought that she had been doing a good job. When she peeked around the corner though, and saw Ace kissing Valley, her Valley, on the cheek, something inside the girl snapped.

The shrill, high-pitched shriek she let out was heard from one end of the AFW arena to the other.

With no hesitation, she through herself into the hallway and began racing as fast as she could towards Ace, intending to barrel into the silver-haired girl and bring her down to the cold, hard floor beneath her.

"The fuck was thaGHFF!"

Haley had turned, hearing some high pitched scream not far behind her, just in time to get tackled by some large blur onto the concrete.

On the ground, she looked up only to see a girl she didn't recognize sitting above her.

"THE FUCK ARE YOU!?"

Unlike Haley, Valley knew exactly who that scream belonged to the moment she heard it. She'd only encountered it once before, over a year ago, but since then it had haunted her constantly. She would never forget it as long as she lived, and she knew exactly what it meant for her.

Amethyst Velour was back in her life.

Valley was knocked back as the purple blur crashed into them and interrupted the tender movement. She fell against the wall and nearly slid down it, succumbing to the agony - her body was still aching in so many ways. She was in no condition to fight, but other hand, she knew what sort of person Amethyst was. Haley didn't. She had to do something.

"Get off her!" Valley came at Amethyst from behind and grabbed the collar on her shirt, trying to pull her away from Haley. It was a struggle just to do that, but hopefully it would be enough for her Once and Future lover to gather her bearings.

Amethyst looked down at Ace with a mad, terrifying grin on her face. She had snapped, completely and fully, and wasn't going to stop until she had beaten the silver-haired girl to a pulp for daring to touch her lover!

As soon as she landed on Ace's body, she began to swing her fists towards the girl's face, trying to hammer with a series of wild, furious punches, screeching and yelling with every blow she aimed down towards her. Even when Valley grabbed her and attempted to pull her away, she didn't relent, instead turning her fury towards the blonde instead.

"Let go!" she howled, and snapped her head back to glare at Valley, aiming an angry fist backwards towards her face, in hopes of getting her to let go.

Ace had no time to even get her arms up before hard blows rained down upon her face, each shot causing the back of her head to smack against the concrete floor.

Despite the pained buzzing in her head, she threw her arms up, throwing wild and unfocused punches, just trying to get this bitch off of her!

Any other time, Valley would've been able to weather Amethyst's punch and keep coming. The woman had a dangerous, crazy strength, but Valley had fought her before, and she was more than willing to do it now, when the psycho was mauling her best friend.

But she'd just gotten through with one of the most testing matches of her entire career. She was hurt. She was tired. She was weary. Amethyst was none of these things, and she was vicious on top. So, not only did Valley not have the wherewithall to dodge the punch, she took it square on the jaw. Hard.

She staggered away from the blow and wound up crashing against the wall, slamming the back of her head against the unforgiving bricks for a bit of extra pain. "Damn it..." She groaned and slid down the wall to her butt, cradling the back of her head while her eyes shut tight. Which, on the bright side, meant she wouldn't have to see what Amethyst was about to do...
