Haruka Date vs. Chisato Sakurai

Haruka was struggling. Her vision was limited and she was sweating like a pig. She truly felt she could still come back if she could just get the heat off her. The Silent Phoenix felt like she was in a pressure cooker and she might have been with the crowd cheering, the lights blaring down and Chisato attacking her. Her senses were dulled and still almost overwhelmed.

Suddenly her senses were stopped. There was some pressure on her hip as she tried to get up and then a lot of pressure in her head. Haruka blacked out for a second as she bounced against the mat. The woman came to but was hardly any better off for it. Her eyes were open to the white canvas and her body was in pain.

The sickening smack of the foot connecting to the back of Haruka's head echoed in the arena as gasps of surprise and shock soon followed it from the crowd. Chisato landed on her stomach and turned to look at her downed opponent, seeing the end of her opponent on the mat. However, she wasn't going to let this match end with a signature move. She wanted to end this with a move that she felt and to herself knew that Haruka wouldn't get up after, no matter how burnt the ashes were.

Standing tall over her opponent, Chisato would signal for the end as she would press her thumb against her throat and slide it across in a cutthroat gesture as she would flip Haruka on her back Grabbing Haruka's wrist and ankle, she would position Haruka so that her side was facing towards the turnbuckle as she stepped over Haruka towards the corner. Grabbing the top rope with both hands, Chisato would take a deep breath before jumping up on to the second rope, using the spring from it to leap up to the top rope.

Pressing off of the ropes, she flipped backwards hoping to pull off her finisher; the Cresent-sault hoping to crash on top of Haruka.

Haruka was tugged into position. Her body wanted her to react, to fight against being slowly positioned into a move that would undoubtedly be absurdly painful. Haruka wanted to, but she couldn't. Every part of her was in pain and tired from the ravages of the bout. She just wanted her leg to feel good again. She just wanted anything to feel good again.

But that just wasn't in the cards. Haruka was not aware of the throat slash gesture, nor Chisato going up to the second rope. She was aware of Chisato splashing down on top of her; the Silent Phoenix lacked the luxury of avoiding that. Haruka's breath was slowed to slow gasps and rattles and her eyes were now closed.

Flying through the air as she flipped backwards, Chisato saw the ring and Haruka coming in view very quickly as she crashed into her opponent's stomach. The landing wasn't as soft as most people thought as Chisato got to her knees, holding her stomach that was in pain after the impact, but that was inconsequential when victory was in her grasp.

Laying on top of Haruka, Chisato felt pretty sure that she was going to put down the Phoenix as she hooked her leg and head as she went for the winning pin.

ONE!!!

Haruka was rolled over and put in the pinning maneuver. Her mouth hung open stupidly and her hair formed a long line on the mat. This was it. Game over. The Silent Phoenix didn't have it in her to react or really do anything special. Her chest rose and fell slowly.

TWO!!!

The little ref girl hit the mat again. The crowd was going nuts for Chisato. As much as she didn't want to admit it, the greenhaired girl fought well. Too well for Haruka. She just didn't want the jobber chants to start any time soon. Hopefully Haruka was respected enough to not have that happen. Everything hurt, but the sinking feeling of losing hurt most of all.

THREE!!!

Chisato smiled in victory as she managed to claim victory over the Phoenix as she released the head and leg as she got to her knees. Getting to her feet, she raised her arms in victory after the hard fought victory. Haruka was an intense opponent, despite the fast pace match up, if she didn't target Haruka's leg Chisato was sure that the match could've gone longer and harder. But in the end victory was hers and that's all that matter to her.

She was met with mixed reaction from her display of utter ruthlessness in picking out Haruka's leg and tearing it apart for her win, but she didn't care about her detractors trying to derail her momentum.

The bell had rung, and Haruka had been defeated. It was a solid defeat. Nothing Haruka could be too proud of, but nothing she could be too ashamed of, either. The greenhaired girl was off of her and the ref asked her about how she was. Haruka intimated that she was fine and stood up.

The leg beneath her was wobbly, but sound. She could walk home, at least. She sighed- the Silent Phoenix quietly cursed the woman for attacking her leg so much. It was a good strategy, sure, but it was an annoying one, a heelish one. Nonetheless, Haruka gave Chisato a quick nod as a sign of good sportsmanship.

Watching Haruka get up, Chisato eyed her defeated opponent. She was getting up, albeit not without great difficulty, but rising from the ashes just like a Phoenix. It was an admirable sight to see someone getting up after the horrendous amount of damage she sustained to her leg. Unfortunately for Haruka, Chisato didn't see it that way. Chisato wanted to put down the Phoenix and keep her promise to herself that she could beat the Phoenix, and it rising from the ashes was not a true victory for her.

Not responding to the nod that she was being given from Haruka, Chisato would just stare at Haruka as she walked up to her. She extended her hand as if she was going to give her the highest form of respect in the world of sportswomanship. However the second Chisato saw Haruka's hand move up to grab her's, she would jump up to catch Haruka's head with her right arm and fall to the mat and drive Haruka face first into the mat, with her finishing move; Cutting Edge.

After the move, Chisato would immediately get to her feet and point her finger at the downed Phoenix. "And stay down you false Phoenix!" she shouted, now the audience was in full agreement to boo the ruthless Chisato as she left the ring after striking viciously and quickly.

Haruka was happy to accept the handshake that Chisato extended for her. The problem with it was that was that Chisato wasn't very interested in being sporting at all. Her opponent was there to hit her with a finisher that she had seen many times in her time at Wrestle Angels- the feared Cutting Edge. The Silent Phoenix didn't know what she did to engender such hatred but here she was.

The Silent Phoenix cried out as she hit the mat. This was an assault, nothing less. It was cruel and malicious and Haruka could make little sense of it. The greenhaired girl then had the audaciousness to boast as she was down. Haruka curled up and looked at Chisato as she walked away. It was going to be a long trip home.
