John Carnaby vs Eske Mal. Artist vs Writer

Was she wrong to wallow here in hate? Eske had but few moments to think about it. By the time john had stood up, everyone was gone save for the camera crew. Their cameras stopped long ago, as soon as she had tapped. Eske watches as john walked away from her to grab his jacket. He begins to speak, contrary to the same old story-book ending of the opponent leaving the defeated in the dust.

He called her an, enigma? What was that supposed to mean...? As John left, before he was just out of earshot.... "John...."

John stopped in his tracks, he was standing on the ring apron when he heard his name being called. Did Eske just say his name? Why? How? Had he somehow reached the quiet writer with what he had said?

The master of creation knew he probably wouldn't get anything else out of Eske, given how she was acting the whole match. But it was something at least. The young man turned his head right to look at her once more.

He then gave a minor smile and said "Well keep at it, I'm sure you'll get the next one. If you want to see me again then I ain't hard to find, I would be more than happy to make a painting of you. Ta ta." without another word John left the ring and slunk into the back.

She did say one thing, and that would be the only thing that Eske would say to john. She didnt say not one other word but her name. his words spoken were encouraging ones, and she took them to heart. This book had an ending, and a semi-good one. Eske was given the chance to be painted by the man. Maybe she'd take him up on it, eventually.....Or not.
