From One Thing to Another

"Ah I see," replied Charlene. "Well, that certainly isn't the case!" the blonde replied enthusiastically.

As she noticed the chef girl's hand, the blonde didn't immediately reach for it. She wasn't really sure what to make out of it at first, as the girl hadn't introduced herself or anything. In the end, Charlene did grasp the chef's hand for a polite handshake.

"Anyways, nice to meet you, umm, miss..." the blonde said with a sheepish smile.

"Ah, yeah, no problem, miss Chiharu!" Charlene nodded, slowly withdrawing her hand. "Among other things, huh? So like, are you a multi talented girl of some sort that do all kinds of jobs?" she joked.

It must be nice if that's the case. Being a great chef alone was already quite a gift in the blonde's mind. Now she couldn't help but to guess what are these other things Chiharu could do. A photo model, maybe? That couldn't be too far off considering the girl's pretty features. Maybe an athlete, even. Or an actress? The list went on, but Charlene tried not to drift away too much this time.

"Ohh... an athlete as well?" Charlene was getting even more curious.

Before she could make her guess, though, Chiharu asked her about what she did, causing the blonde to twitch and blushed slightly. Telling anyone about this particular job was never easy for her, considering her results so far. Still, it'd be rude not to answer Chiharu who already told a bit about herself. Charlene glanced around before she leaned closer, covering the side of her face with one hand.

"T-this is is kinda embarassing... buutt..." she half whispered. "I'm working in this place they call AFW..." the blonde pulled back afterwards, looking at Chiharu with a timid expression. "I-I'm still relatively new at it, though... so yeah, it's not really something to be proud of, I guess..."

I-I said it! Charlene thought to herself. Now she could only hope that Chiharu wouldn't be disgusted or even making fun of her because of it. The last girl she told about her job seemed to be kinda embarrassed as well, and that was a colleague.

"Nono, like I said I'm still new... both in the place and wrestling..." Charlene admitted, her cheeks blushing. "I-it's strange, I know... but they said that it never too late to start... sooo..."

Now that she gave a bit of thought about it, the recruiters were probably just looking for a victim for the crowds' enjoyment. Unfortunately she was dumb enough to fall for it and now stuck thanks to her contract. Ugh, why she always realized things like this too late? It's just like when she accepted modeling all over again, plus all the hurt.

"I probably got suckered pretty hard, didn't I...?" she blurted, rolling her eyes and sighed.

"Eh...?" Char seemed confused as Chiharu offered her help, until she heard what the girl said afterwards. "Eeehhh...?!" the blonde's voice raised, her eyes widened in genuine surprise, and she clasped her mouth shut with both hands quickly after that. "Y-you serious...?"

What's with all these strange coincidence? First was the pool, then the sushi restaurant. It's funny how small the world could feel at times. Charlene wanted to laugh and say "not again!", but she suddenly had this rather frightening thought. If Chiharu was in AFW as well, then the girl might already watch her matches. Her cheeks suddenly turned deep red as her hands moved from her lips to hold them. She almost felt like she had a fever.

"Y-you... didn't saw my matches, did you...?" she asked very quietly while looking down.
