High Kick Rendezvous! (For Acuya)

Asami remembered Sex Wars. The idea of being in a converted high school in a gender war really didn't appear to her at the time. When it called overhauled into Tension, Asami still was wary of it, even though the league now was practically a mirror of Friction.
"Maybe. I have a day job of my own though. I work in a restaurant." she said. It was a half truth of sorts. Asami did work in a small restaurant owned by her family, but wasn't paid for it. Her real source of income was from the AFW. "You're right though, crime fighting isn't exactly what you would call a high yielding career choice. Hopefully those two aren't lying about money. I could use it these days. What about you? I mean, you might need some to cover any hospital bills you might be facing...."

"I think I'll be fine."

That might have been a little premature. He didn't feel all that fine. He felt like he'd be spitting up blood for days. The three matches he'd had so far put together weren't nearly as harsh as that fight. Not even combined. A hospital stay was definitely in need.

"The AFW has a great insurance plan, though, so I think I'm fine. Full coverage. Might take a little working to get the most out of it, but I'm good with numbers."

Asami agreed that the AFW did a good job taking care of their injured wrestlers, however, her injuries were treated off the books, since she didn't want anyone to know she was moonlighting as a vigilante.
"Oh good." she said in reply to Dmitri. "Well, unfortunately 'crime fighting ninja' doesn't have a very good benefits package. Long hours. Pay sucks. Almost feels like being a college intern."

She paused, coming to a stop as they were across the street from the hospital she gone to after her very first encounter with the gangs of Tokyo.
"This is you, I think." she said. "I'll have to leave you now. Police are at hospitals sometimes, and being a vigilante is still illegal. Take care of yourself....and thank you."
With that, she offered Dmitri her hand to shake. Once that was done, she would move back into the shadows, disappearing into the back alleys once more.
