New Girl On The Block [Open]

Ashlen was just bending the toes in the ankle lock as she heard Blossom start to tap out. After a few seconds, Ashlen would drop that bare foot and get off the toes of the other before walking to be by her opponent's side. Kneeling on the mat, she would say, "Are you alright, lass? Sorry if I hurt you too much, it wasn't intentional really."

Blossom fell on her back, giggling a bit despite the pain. "Yeah...yeah, I'm okay, just need to lay here for a little while. Not sure I buy the 'not intentional' thing, though." She gave Ashlen a playful punch in the leg. "You're really good - I'm glad I was even able to last as long as I did."

Ashlen would giggle also as Blossom playfully punched her leg. "Yer pretty good yourself, Blossom. Even with all the bruises yeh got, yeh managed to fight well! I'm really impressed!" She would examine Blossom's body of the damage and was indeed impressed that she fought through the pain and kept at it until the end. Seeing how red Blossom's toes were, Ashlen shrugged as she said, "Uhhh, I hope I didn't stomp on them too hard there."

"Nah, they'll recover." She wiggled her toes, making sure every thing was in working order. A little numb, but nothing a day in bed and some chocolates wouldn't fix.

"So...think I'm ready for the bigtime?"

When Blossom asked if she was ready for the big time, Ashlen would think for a moment to recall what has happened in the match overall. There were some pretty good hits and grapples from her and she handled the pain quite nicely. With a smile, she would nod and say, "Aye! I think you are, lass." Standing up, she would add, "Say, Blossom? Since you did pretty good, I wanted to give you a wee little something to say that you're gonna go far in the league. I picked it up before heading to the gym."

She smiled at Ashlen's praise - it was good to hear, really, and helped erase some of her doubts. She was committed to this - if she was here, she was going to be in it all the way, no reservations.

She stood up, dusting herself off a bit. "Oh, really? What is it?"

"I'll be right back," said Ashlen as she got out of the ring and headed down to the locker room. She would open the locker she was using and took out two objects from there. They were quite heavy for one hand, but she had to bring them over to Blossom right away. When she came back to Blossom, Ashlen would say, "Me was thinkin' yeh might need these." She would hold up a pair of wrestling boots that fits her green and black attire.

Blossom was, in truth, a little torn by the gift - she actually preferred to go barefoot in a match, loving the feel of the canvas beneath her feet. Still, after the mauling her toes had taken, she couldn't deny that having shoes would bring some advantages...and there were probably going to be matches where she'd need the traction. It was certainly worth a thought, and Blossom would never be the one to complain about a gift - it was the thought that counted, and Ashlen was very thoughtful.

"Holy cats!" She smiled and gave Jackpot a great, big hug. "Thank you! You're really making me feel at home here - glad I ran into you."

Ashlen chuckled as Blossom hugged her and she did the same. "Thanks, I'm glad that I ran into yeh too. Anything to help a new friend and fellow wrestler out." She would hand over the boots to Blossom as she said, "Here, why don't yeh try them on? I think they can give yeh a leg up in future matches."

She nodded and did what Ashlen asked, taking over her leg warmer and pulling on the boots - a little loose fitting, but nothing a little proper lacing couldn't fit. "Nice and snug like a bug in a rug." She gave the sides a hard slap.
