Fiery Hearts: Makie Akamatsu vs Mindy Priest

Makie was, admittedly, a little surprised to see that her punch had worked so well as Mindy staggered back and released her. She rubbed her knuckles. "Ow...anyone ever tell you you have a hard skull?" she quipped as the American came right back at her, lashing out with a blind, angry haymaker. Makie, however, was quicker on her feet, and reacted instantly, ducking low to avoid the punch before spinning around behind her larger opponent.

"HYAA!" Makie cried, jumping back and shooting both of her legs forward, aiming to nail her opponent squarely in the upper back or her head. She had every intention, at this point, of showing Mindy the difference in skill between them.

Mindy did not answer Makie's barbed words, concentrating instead on putting as much of her muscle power as possible behind her punch. However, when she swung at Makie, her fist hit nothing but air. The blow went right over the black-haired girl's head, and in an instant she disappeared from Mindy's field of vision, gone like a hurricane. "What?"

Before she could even turn around, the speedster jumped up, landing a standing dropkick with both feet right at the back of Mindy's head! "OW!" Dizzy, she stumbled forward, running into the ropes before her."Owww..." The American would try to recover her bearings and turn around, looking for the elusive Makie.

Makie's feet slammed home against the back of Mindy's head, eliciting a hushed collection of gasps from the crowd. Even as she dropped down to her butt, though, Makie saw that the blow hadn't knocked Mindy over as she had hoped-- the tall muscle girl was sent staggering forwards and slumping into the ropes, visibly dazed. But she was still standing. It would take a lot more, Makie realized, to bring Mindy down.

Springing back to her feet, Makie rushed at Mindy, not wanting to give her the time to recover, and rammed a knee hard into her midsection. "NYAAH!" If it connected, she would press up against her and knee her a second time just to keep her softened up, before grabbing the back of her blonde head and kicking both booted feet up against the muscle girl's midsection, before tilting back to monkey flip her down onto her back.

With her back against the ropes, Mindy spotted Makie just in time to witness her doing a kip-up, rising from the mat to her feet in less than a second. The muscle girl had thought that maybe she could do something while her opponent was was still down, but she had no good response to that kind of fast recovery. The Japanese was quick to recover her tempo, and before Mindy could even take a step forwards she found herself being rushed again.

Still feeling the effects of the dropkick and standing at the edge of the ring, Mindy was very unlikely to dodge whatever was coming at her, especially when faced against Makie's speed. She instead reacted by guarding her upper body with tense forearms, intending to block Makie's attack. She had already taken enough hits to the face already.

... defense had never been Mindy's strong suit. Hidden behind a curtain of muscle, her head and chest were completely safe - but she had guessed Makie's target wrong. Two fierce knees buried themselves into her unprotected, toned abs. "ACK-!" A pair of hands then flew behind her head, and taking advantage of her momentary weakness Makie monkey flipped her off the mat, sending her flying in an arc before crashing into the mat. She immediately rolled to one side, groaning and arching her back in pain.

Holding her breath, Makie kicked her legs up against Mindy's back and dropped back, letting gravity do its work as she threw her larger opponent head over heels. She felt a surge of exhilaration as she sent Mindy flying, and she heard the American crash unceremoniously behind her, and Makie used her momentum to do a victory roll up to her knees, raising her arms triumphantly to the crowd. "YEAHH!" she cried out loud, causing her fans to burst into cheering.

Glancing over and seeing Mindy arching painfully off the mat, Makie knew she had a chance to end this. Jumping back to her feet, Makie raised her arms, signalling to her fans that she was going to try something else, before bursting into a run. Running past Mindy, Makie would try to leap feet-first at the nearby ropes, before springboarding off of them to backlip on top of the prone Mindy. If her aerial attack connected, then Makie would hook one of her opponent's shapely legs for a pinfall.

"Aaaahh... why can't she just... stay still..." Mindy muttered to herself as she lay on her side, clutching the small of her back. Her tanned body, arching on the mat, was already covered in an uniform sheen of sweat. Even with all her physical endurance, this match was taking a toll on her, especially after taking so many hits in a row. Makie was really showing off her veteran experience, overpowering the muscle girl with pure speed and skill.

As the pain from the monkey flip subsided, Mindy rolled onto her back again, trying to shake off the cobwebs from her head. However, before she could get up, she heard sounds of stomping feet, accompanied by shouts from the audience. The American's blue eyes widened as Makie jumped above her, doing a flip and casting her in shadow for a brief moment before landing right on top of her.

"GAHAH!" Mindy's head jolted off the mat from the impact before falling down again, stunned. Makie's full weight had just crashed into her chest; there was no way she could just recover from an attack of this magnitude right away. Mindy remained immobile, pinned under Makie's body as her leg got hooked and made to point towards the ceiling. She panted, eyes shut from the pain.

"ONE!"

Makie felt Mindy's powerful body jolt underneath her as she slammed into the muscle girl, before going still again. Taking a deep breath, Makie grabbed a hold of one of her opponent's thighs and hooked it back, her head resting just underneath Mindy's heaving chest as she covered her for the pin. By this point, her own body was shining a little with perspiration, and in the background, many of the audience cheered as the two scantily-clad beauties lay against one another.

She heard the ref girl counting in the background, and closed her eyes as she breathed steadily. She had managed to nail Mindy with several successive hits in a row, but would it be enough to keep her down for good? Or would the muscle girl's stamina win through and allow her to kick out?

"TWO!" the ref girl called.

"TWO!"

Mindy's entrapped leg twitched once in Makie's grasp, making her crotch just a little bit more visible between her separated thighs. Her chest rose and fell underneath Makie, and as her daze gradually wore off she half-opened her eyes, two blue irises staring at the ceiling. "Nn... uh..." Her head rolled from side to side. It was clear to everyone that she was trying to escape, but the real question was: did she have the energy to do so?

"THR-"

Just as the referee girl went for the final count, the American's body shifted under Makie. With a small groan, she twisted her torso, lifting her right shoulder off the mat at the last possible instant. She didn't try to move Makie off her or free her leg, but the pin had been broken, and the ref stopped and made an 'x' with her arms to show everyone that the match was not over yet!

Makie's heart raced as she heard the countdown reach two. Hr eyes were fixed on her opponent as she kept her pinned under her lighter form, breathing through clenched teeth. She waited tensely for the count to reach three, for the bell to ring, and for the ref girl to take up her arm and announce her victory. As she held her breath and her position, though, she suddenly felt Mindy's powerful form twist underneath her, barely managing to get a shoulder up in time. Behind her, the audience erupted into cheers and howls of disbelief as Mindy managed to break the pin.

Getting back up to her knees, Makie gave Mindy, the crowd and the ref a look of disbelief in quick succession. "Oh COME ON!" she shouted in frustration. She couldn't believe it! She had been sure that her last series of hits would be enough to keep Mindy down, but the muscle girl was just too tough. She ran her hands through her damp hair as she tried to calm down. If Mindy wanted to keep fighting, then so be it-- she had plenty of other moves she could still use against her, after all.

Standing back up, Makie stomped down once on Mindy's firm abs, just too keep her weakened, before stepping away. "Come on, Mindy, stand up!" she called out to her opponent. "We're not done yet!"

Keeping her distance, she would wait for Mindy to get back upright...before launching herself at her opponent, legs-first, in the hopes of bringing Mindhy head-first down to the mat in a hurricanrana, and hopefully lock her in a head scissor as well...

Mindy sighed in relief as Makie got up, taking a lot of weight off her body. That was close... for a moment, she had thought that she was done for! Recovering and escaping from a pin like that took not only physical endurance, but also a lot of willpower, and she wasn't sure that she could take another combo and survive. At least, for her tenacity, she was rewarded with the audience's enthusiastic reaction - and an incredulous look from Makie. Lying on the mat, Mindy watched the Japanese girl as she yelled in a rage, and a faint smile appeared on her face. "Ah... hah... you can't take me down... with just that... OW!"

Mindy was forced to interrupt her taunt when Makie's kneecap slammed into her stomach. Again. She moaned and clutched her belly, taking ragged breaths. The American's six-packs were slowly getting tenderized this match! "Aaah... just because I have muscle there, doesn't mean it doesn't hurt..." Weakened like that, Mindy was deathly afraid of Makie jumping onto her in another high-flying move, but the attack never came. Instead, she looked to her side to see Makie standing a safe distance away.

There could be only one reason for that. "She's going to rush me again..." Fighting against the pain in her abs, Mindy rose to one knee in a deliberately slow speed, facing Makie; she wanted to recover as much of her strength as possible, and also keep a close eye on her movements. For once in this match, the rookie felt like she knew what Makie's next general move would be. But could she do anything about it?

At last, she got to her feet - and right away, she saw the veteran running straight towards her, just as she expected! When Makie jumped up, Mindy would try to duck under her, hopefully avoiding what she thought was another drop kick.
