KO: Kamiya Out (Retirement Speech)

Tai Kamiya sighed as he stood in the middle of the Tension ring, dressed in casual street clothes, his hair its regular brown color, having walked calmly to the ring without his usual music playing. Holding a microphone, he let out a sigh before addressing the booing crowd.


"Alright, calm down, I'll keep this short.....Look....the last couple years....haven't gone well for me. Hell, I'll be honest, I've had my ass kicked up and down this ring for about two years straight by everybody I stepped in it with. Then when I finally get a win, for a title no less, it's over a freaking Kawaii that had no business being in the ring with me, nor I her. Then, in my first title defense against one of AFW's legends, who I've wanted to prove myself against and earn the respect off...I get distracted and lose my belt in what is officially the shortest match of any kind in AFW history, thus probably making me officially the biggest loser in all of AFW history."

Tai sighed, shaking his head at the memory of that pathetic loss.


"So I've done some thinking....and I've come to a conclusion. I have to admit...my time has passed by. The AFW's new recruits are simply more talented then I am, and the old guard I was a part of that are still around were already better then me. I even took time off, retrained myself with help from someone way more talented then I am, and still got my ass kicked!

He continued, though the crowd cheered at his mention of being beat up, glaring at them before continuing.

"I've been in AFW for a long time...I was an original member of Tension from when it was just a newborn show to finally having it's own PPV's now...I've set records that nobody else here has. I'm the first and currently ONLY 3 time champion in all of AFW, my name WILL be in AFW's record books as the first person to accomplish that, as well as being the first and so far only male Entropy Champion. I have accomplished things here. But after so many years...I admit I just can't keep up with anybody anymore. So..rather then continuing to humiliate myself over and over, I have decided to do the smart thing, and take my leave."

He stated, the crowd actually growing silent as they contemplated his words, allowing him to finish.

"To put it simply, as of this moment...I am hereby officially retired from active in-ring competition."

The crowd actually gasped, surprised to hear such a thing from the long time veteran.

"Now, let me say, this won't be the last time you ever see me around...I'll always be a part of AFW, if not in the ring, then backstage interviewing, or ringside announcing, or even just grabbing a talk show or something, I'll be around here somewhere."

"But...It will be a very long time before you see Tai Kamiya in the middle of the ring again."

With that, Tai gently handed the microphone back to the ring announcer, simply nodding at the crowd before heading out of the ring, holding his head up high as he made his way out and towards the back, trying to at least have some semblance of dignity as he left the ring area, the crowd silent and stunned as they witnessed the rather sad ending of what historians would later call a once promising, yet ultimately disappointing, if not pathetic, career.
