Emily Nelson vs Tina "the Tempest" Layfield

Emily's boot came down with authority, but stomped only empty mat space as her canny opponent rolled out of the way. Surprised, Emily braced herself for a counter-attack, but instead watched as Tina rolled out towards the edge of the ring, escaping under the ropes.

Glaring down at her opponent outside the ring, Emily didn't bother following her, allowing Tina some breathing space. She wasn't the type of person who liked brawling outside the ring, and preferred to fight her opponent on an even footing if given the chance.

Tina would stay outside gesturing at Emily as if inviting her to come after her.

Emily raised an eyebrow at Tina's seeming eagerness to take the fight out of the ring. Without a further word, she ran forwards, dropping low at the last moment in the hopes of nailing Tina with a baseball slide.

Tina would see the baseball slide coming and step back a bit to let Emily slide out in front of her. Then she would grab for her head and start aiming some lefts and rights at her.

Emily cursed as Tina darted aside at the last minute, avoiding her baseball slide. Landing on her feet, Emily spun around to face the American...and was quickly greeted by a right hook slamming into her cheek.

"AUGH!" she gasped, the blow rocking her head to the side. Tina followed up with a left that caught Emily in the head as well, sending her stumbling back dizzily, clutching her head. "D...damn..."

Tina would the grab for Emily's hand and try to slingshot her up facefirst aginst steel post in corner.

Emily's vision swirled slightly as her head rang like a bell from Tina's repeated punches. Still standing upright, she felt hands grab roughly onto her head. Growling, she reacted on instinct, twisting her body to the side and shooting an elbow back, hoping to nail Tina in the chest or the face with an elbow shot.

Tina was on her second wind now so at the moment she was anticipating herr opponent's moves. As she felt Emily tense up to nail her with the elbow, she ducked. Particularly if Emily really missed her mark and spun around Tina would try to grab her from behind and set ehr up for the atomic drop.

Emily's arm shot through empty air as Tina ducked. Cursing, she tried to spin around, but Tina was already grabbing her around the waist. Emily tried to pry at Tina's wrists, but by that point she was already being lifted off her feet, before being sent slamming down again in an atomic drop. Pain shot through her lower body as Tina's knee slammed up between her legs. "AAAAUGH!" she almost screamed, toppling over onto her side as she curled up in pain.

Tina caufght her breath as she glared down a bit at Emily. Then she heard the referee starting to count them out. She quickly went to slide back in and stood back up watching the edge of ring to see if Emily would make it back in on time.
