Serena Light vs Claire O'Doherty

Serena tried everything she could and managed to stop her momentum despite the punches she took to her stomach. She heard Clare gasp and knew that a few punches got into her firm stomach. She didn't have time to celebrate though, and instead she continued on. When Clare broke free from the cinch, she quickly ducked low avoiding her right and left uppercut, as she countered with a heavy uppercut to Clare's chin instead.

Clare was already swinging, when she realized that Serena was already throwing punches. Serena's punch came in quickly, leading Clare to take it directly on the chin. She ignored the pain. She didn't budge after the punch hit, instead she'd ignore defense for a brief moment to overwhelm Serena with stomach shots. She quickly launched three beautifully executed, swift, hard, punches. The goal being to get Serena to be the one to back off. If she didn't, Clare would stay close and brawl, it wasn't as comfortable as boxing, but she figured an exchange would give them both good enough readings on who was tougher. One of them needed to go down eventually.

Serena let out a small cheer when her uppercut smashed into Claire's chin. She saw her head snapped upwards and thought it worked, however that thought led her to dropping her guard. Instead three hard punches slammed into her stomach. Her eyes widen in shock as she backed off immediately clutching her stomach. But she than remembered that she was in a fight and quickly put up her stance, however legs were shaking. The the continous barrage of body punches to her stomach was taking it's toll on her, even now she was barely able to keep standing.

Clare saw Serena back away, she wished she had been able to exploit the moment when she let her guard down, but was unable to given the distance.Still, Clare saw victory on the horizon, at least a knockdown. Serena was in pain, that gave Clare hope. She moved in again, faking aright hand that looked like it would be a straight io the face, then she'd suddenly charge in and try to bludgeon both of Serena's ribs with a rapid flurry of pawing punches.

Serena already taking enough punches to her body was barely able to stand straight, but that didn't mean she was down yet. She knew that Claire was going to go in for the kill now, but she didn't care. Instead she made use of it, as Claire went for the straight right to the face, she knew that it was a feint, she was going to target her stomach, and so she played along. Raising her guard for a second, she pretended to guard her face, only to charge in at the same time as Clare and counter her punches with another uppercut to her chin, followed by a sledgehammer right to her cheeks.

Serena seemed to fade from view, Clare saw her punch sail through a clear path, the obstruction of Serena's body wasn't there. Serena boxed well, Clare knew this already. She'd found her first solid fight ever, Clare was focused on the body, Serena seemed intent on targeting the head. That already showed the differences between the two fighter's styles. Clare, beaming brightly at the prospect of a true fight, was still caught off guard. Her reflexes saw to it that she jerked her head back before the uppercut came up to hit her. It didn't matter, as the right handed power punch had a farther reach and decked Clare hard.

Clare stumbled a bit, the fact that Serena was fighting back had given Clare thoughts that made her blush a bit. There'd be no time for such fantasies right now though, Clare was determined to get Serena onto the canvas. Clare fired a return, a quick left jab, followed by a feint right jab, when her left would sink low again and give Serena a hard, body punch to contend with.

Serena wanted to follow up with another set of punches after she stumbled, but the distance was too far to cover up. So she had to guard again. As Clare came back forth, she sees the punches coming. She blows the left jab, and attempts to do so with the right, but that was a feint as her left sunk low and slammed her already injured stomach with a hard body punch.

Her fist ploughed into her stomach causing her to spit out as the impact hit home, causing her to double back in pain while clutching her stomach. Her knees began shaking, barely able to stand straight.

Clare saw the opening instantly. She was glad the opportunity presented itself so soon. It was a good sign. Clare quickly would aim a deadly left hook at Serena's head, thinking it would be enough to drop her weakened opponent. Clare wasn't one for overkill, and would let Serena slip to the canvas without another shot. She had to wonder how much damage had actually been done. It would seem Serena was succumbing to the pain of the accumulated stomach blows. The left hook would call attention to her head if Clare landed it.

Serena dazed from the hard blow to her stomach knows that she is in trouble She sees Claire raising her fists up and know that she's in trouble, She sees Claire throwing a left hook towards her head, she quickly but sloppily raises her guard up to block it. however the guard was incomplete due to the pain that was slowing her movements. Though the guard was raise, it was sloopy and poorly executed allowing Claire's punch to somewhat have a larger impact. The force of the punch didn't break her guard, but it caught her off guard and send her stumbling back where she fell against the ropes. The ropes propel her back towards Claire where she stumbled and left herself open for an attack.

Clare saw that she was in control at the moment, and watched her opponents reaction to the hard punches. She couldn't have asked for better conditions, she was quick to execute a hard left hook, her power hand. Even if it connected, she'd be relentless and send a right handed uppercut to her dazed opponent, having a good time with being on the attack with no need to defend herself for the moment. She could tell her opponent was in a bad way, and hoped to send her to the mat for a ten count. She gave her opponent more credit than that however, and either way she wouldn't let up, so that her opponent wouldn't be a threat for now.
