Dark Match: Merith vs. Jean Grey

"Now I got you..." Merith grinned as she mounted Jean's stomach. From here she swung for Jean's face with a hard right, trying to knock some of the fight out of her foe...

"Umf!" Jean hit in the face turning ti sharply but would take the punch as best she could showing she had some endurance and spirit. For now though there was nothing she could do and she waited for the next blow.

Merith was satisfied with the first shot but thirsted for more. However, she knew Jean still had some defenses with her arms free. The Amazon quickly tried to grab her foe's wrists and pin them down over her head with her wrists crossed so Merith could hold them with one hand and attack with the other...

Jean would raise her arms to defend. As Merith tried to pin both her ahnds with one hand, Jean would struggle a bit. She wasn't completely weak in strength which might make it hard for Merith to pin both her hands with just one. She would try to lash out with a palm strike at one point right below Merith's chin to try and get her off.

The Amazon struggled with Jean's arms, having difficulties keeping them under control. "You've got some strength, don't ya... UNNGH!!!" Merith gagged as Jean sent a palm into her. Merith fell off to Jean's left, rolling away a few feet to get some distance and face her enemy, watching her as she rose back to her feet. Merith rubbed her Jean struck her and nodded, giving her some props for the good hit. From here, Merith lowered into a wrestling stance, this time waiting for Jean to attack...

Jean rolled slightly on her side, panting to catch her breath. She would slowly get up turning her back to the ropes and slowly facing Merith, her head was lowered as if though she seemed dazed.

Merith narrowed her eyes, Jean looked dazed... maybe the punch took more out of her than Merith thought. Reversing her plans, Merith closed in and then broke into a sprint. She cocked her arm back and readied to clothesline Jean right out of her boots. If successful, Merith would then crawl across Jean to try and score the early pinfall...

Jean could have possibly been baiting Merith into a deadly trap like a hunter stalking a grizzly. At the last moment Jean would throw herself aside perhaps giving Merith nothing but the ropes to charge...where if one was not careful all sorts of dangerous slip ups could happen.

Merith wasn't dumb. She knew that Jean being dazed so soon was likely too good to be true and wasn't surprised as she evaded the heavy clothesline. Merith turned herself to bounce of the ropes behind her target and continued back at Jean again, this time she would charge straight for Jean and launch herself in a spear at her adversary's stomach, hoping to really do some damage and take Jean to the mat once again...

Jean gave a another cry of pain as she was speared in the belly and went down again.
