Makie Akamatsu vs Midori Himeno

Makie was still sprawled face-down on the mat when she suddenly felt herself being lifted in the air. Seeing the lights of the arena directly above her, she gasped and began to squirm and thrash viciously in Midori's grip. In desperation, she sent a sharp elbow down at what she assumed to be Midori's head, ignoring the aching that flared up with every movement of her body.

Midori would actually hold Makie up for a while wlaking around the ring with her. She walked to one side and bench pressed Makie slightly for amusement of crowd. She then went to the next side to her left and repeated this. However it was when she got to the third side that makie's desperate thrashings were starting to make it hard for Midori to hold and and she would slowly, almost reluctantly start to drop makie onto her feet in front of her.

To Makie's relief, Midori released her, sending her stumbling back down to her feet. Knowing that she couldn't afford to let Midori get any more hits in, Makie angrily sent a kick lashing at Midori's knee. This was not aimed to hurt her, however, as to provoke a retalaitory attack....

Midori was ready to defend herself and lifted her arms near her face defensively. Therefore when Makie kicked for ehr knee, she simply raised it defensively like a kickboxer to absorb the blow. She would then go to retaliate with a straight hook to the side of her face.

This was the moment Makie had been waiting for. As Midori launched her punch, Makie dodged, spinning sideways and grabbing at Midori's outstretched wrist. If she was successful, then she would kick her legs up, trying to ensnare Midor's arm fully in an armbar.

Midori was taken to the ground on her chest and Makie would be able to hyperextend ehr arm out a bit. Midori winced and hissed in vexation and pain. For now Makie had her tied up.

Eventually Midori would roll on her back which might give makie a chance to do a cross armbar.

Makie didn't hesistate to take this advantage when it presented itself. She crossed her legs around Midori's arm, pressing her boots against the other girl's shoulder as she arched up, her back lifting off the mat as she tried to add pressure to the hold. The arching movement caused her sore back to flare with pain, but Makie maintained the hold, clenching her teeth and telling herself that this was hurting Midori a lot more than it was hurting her. "Give up, Himeno!" she shouted as she stretched Midori's arm, twisting at her wrist to further add to the pressure.

In the stands, Toshio was cheering like mad. Initially, Makie had been taking a nasty beating from Midori, but had now managed to turn things around. Kyo allowed himself a smile, seeing that Makie's training was pulling off against her larger and tougher opponent.

Midori lay on her back and at one point Makie did force Midori to give a brief shout of pain. But once again the street fighter with no quit would gather herself and then try to roll over in makie's direction and push herself up to her feet as if though she were going to counter Makie by trying to use her trapped arm by rolling makie up in a pinning situation.

However, Midori was too high impact to stop right there and once she maanged to stand she would grab her toher arm and dig in deep to her reserve of power to actually try and hoist Makie up and then slam her down on her back in a sit out.

The tables turned quickly once again: one minute Makie had Midori locked tightly in a submission hold, and the next she was being hoisted in the air! She didn't have time to let go of Midori's arm before she was slammed back-first against the mat, the impact causing her to instantly release Midori. The slender tomboy arched up from the impact, before rolling onto her side, moaning.

Midori herself had taken some damage from that hold and now gave Makie a look of respect but would this simply make her more dangerous now?

Midori backed away, rubbing her arm and watching Makie.
