How to Slay a Dragon: Teuila Matutia vs Ryo Hiroshi

To everyone watching it looked as if Ryu had the upper hand. Recovering from his slam, she was slower to rise than he was and once she had gotten onto a knee he had already jumped at her again. A headlock, easily applied surprisingly with no resistance from the supposed dynasty wrestler. It was almost as if it were too easy. The Samoan took a crank of the headlock with a stiff neck and a grunt, weathering being wedged between Ryu’s muscular arms. She reached out to scoop up one of his legs and the high and slipped another arm behind his back.

“Nah.” She snorted, curtly responding to his demand. Though appearing less broad than Ryu, she would heft his weight up if not stopped, making him seem relatively light by how quickly she was able to just pick him up. Without much time to react, it was up then down again, jumping backward to try and send him to the mat with a big backdrop on his head and shoulders.

So far it seemed that Ryu still had it. Deep down he knew all these critics were just full of it, he was as good as he was during his prime championship days. He was proving that by subduing Teuila, one of the more promising wrestlers in Tension who had a wrestling legacy much like the Dragon himself. She had something to prove as well, that the hype surrounding her was real.

While he squeezed her head in between his arms, he demanded she would submit. Teulia would respond by simply telling him no before grabbing his leg and one arm going around his back to secure him. Suddenly, she would lift him up and slam him back down in a simple backdrop. "AHHHHH" he groaned in pain, forced to release her while he clutched his back in pain.

He was a bit surprised by that. Ever since he had wrestle women, not many would have it in them to effortlessly lift the Dragon like that and slamming him down that. It seemed Teuila would have no issue tossing him around like he is used to do to others, he was going head to head with another powerhouse after along time.

Teuila moved slowly but deliberately, pushing herself back to her feet. She made her way to Ryu, rolling her neck, letting a few muted pops come from working the kinks out as she reached him. If he hadn’t gotten up by the time she got to him, he had missed a golden opportunity to flee. She’d offer him no help or mercy, instead choosing to stomp her boot heel down at his stomach to drive the air from his lungs. She wasn't interested in having him fully capable of what she planned for next.

The Samoan would step over Ryu and drop her weight down on his abdomen, attempting to straddle his waist and pin his body to the ground. She kept her knees spread wide, a strong base to keep herself from being thrown or rolled off of him. With an air of cool indifference, she looked down her nose at him, meeting his gaze before she began raining down blows.

A vicious ground and pound of stiff punches aimed to knock the veteran around beneath her. If he turtled up to defend himself without being able to push her off or proved to be unable to defend himself at all, her punches would become devastating elbow strikes as she leaned her weight into each strike. A smaller or weaker person than Ryu could have been easily overwhelmed by her raw force, making for an incredibly short match.

The backdrop left the Dragon howling in pain as he arched himself up using his feet and clutched his lower back. It was not an easy feet for most female wrestlers to slam a wrestler such as Ryu down but Teuila seemed eager to match him at his own game. After getting back up to her feet, the Samoan would walk over towards his arched up frame and stomp him down a couple of times, keeping him flat on his back.

This allowed her to mount his body, straddling his waist while looking right down at him. He looked right back up at her as if telling her to do her worst and she would oblige. She began to rain down strikes on him, hitting his cheek with a stiff punch before covering up and by which point she shifted from punches to strikes. The elbow strikes really did a number on his forearms that he used to bring his guard up, prompting him to buck up and roll to the side to force her off.

He tried to reverse the situation, trying to have her on the bottom and him on top so that he could repay her the favour just as she did to him.

Blow after blow, Teuila showcased her raw power with vicious strikes that could easily end a match with one well-placed blow to the head. Her opponent recognized the fanger and wisely turtled up behind his guard, trying to weather the storm she thundered down on him with each elbow shot. She would leave his arms red and raw as he tried to shake her off, the first attempt finding her stance too wide to break, her thighs locked and knees planted firmly. Each subsequent attempt though seemed to make holding her ground more difficult, so after a few attempts to flip her, she let it happen and rolled sideways into the change.

Her straddling legs extended out, hooking her ankles behind Ryu’s back as she locked in a body scissor. She reached up with her hands, she brought her shoulders up to keep them off the mat as she lay on her back and raised her guard. Their positioning made it difficult for Ryu to really attack her body so she could let her legs do the work to break him down. Until then she intended to play defensive and try to make a grab for an attacking arm or his head if the opportunity presented itself. If she could rob him of his ability to strike at her, the match would be over as she just mangled him in submissions. If she got hold of his head, a quick guillotine choke might end things even faster.
