The moment she creates an opening for herself, the big power grapple moves come out to slap a cherry on top of the punishment she puts down.

The path to face her though was one not freely given as her rival was seemingly undefeated since joining the club. Seraphine didn't fair quite as well, finding many of the other members to be incredibly stiff competition. It was when she finally hit a stride she wished to try issuing her challenge again only to be asked how much she was being paid to lose to Gwendolyn by someone looking to see if they were receiving a similar amount. She dug into the matter, twisting a few arms and threatening to expose details found through the school gazette and uncovered just how deep it went. Apparently, the Bettencourt family was protecting their daughter by buying off the competition.

It all came to a head before Seraphine could ever issue her challenge again when Gwendolyn's family enlisted her family as their private bespoke jewelers. While this marked a seemingly harmonious union between the families, it thrust the two adversaries into each other's constant company. Business brunches, holiday soirees, charity events, both families now traveled within the same circles it was inescapable. Embracing the pulse-pounding discipline with an unmatched fervor, she swiftly ascended the ranks, leaving behind the shadow of familial expectations. Her pursuit of freedom and self-discovery earned her accolades on a global stage, where she danced with gravity, transforming obstacles into canvases for her breathtaking athleticism.

The freerunning community, initially unaccepting of someone seen to be born with a silver spoon in her mouth, soon witnessed her prowess and innovation as she flipped, and soared through urban landscapes and indoor jungle gyms. Here she had found something she was lacking, breaking free from the rigid constraints of her family's legacy to have found a family someplace new among strangers.

The family, despite her freerunning success, remained entrenched in the traditionalism of their prestigious business. While she was shunned from the core business dealings, her expertise was earmarked for a more 'acceptable' role – an uncredited bespoke jewelry designer to cater to high-end clientele. It was by her mother's will that if she wished to earn the use of her family name back after her freerunning dalliances abroad, she would have to earn it back through service.

Her designs would go on to garner acclaim, seen as artistic statements by discerning clientele who could see the personal turmoil she poured into each. Some were haunting yet beautiful while others evoked the freedom of a bird set to soar in the skies without care. They didn’t much understand it, but had received a project from the Bettencourt’s heiress to freshly bejewel a regal robe for an upcoming event. Her mother waxed on and on about all of the numerous accomplishments and accolades Gwendolyn had managed to garner in her career in Japan to the point Seraphine couldn’t help but claim given time, she could do better. If nothing else it received a chortle from her mother, who at first didn’t think she was serious at first.

Her mother, a paragon of poise, regarded Seraphine with a measured expression. A delicate smile played on her lips, betraying a mix of amusement and curiosity. "My dear, obviously this wrestling is not merely a physical sport; it requires a blend of skill, strategy, and a certain... finesse. Gwendolyn has mastered the art, how could you compare?"

Seraphine’s mother couldn’t help but be intrigued. As barbaric a thing as combat sports appeared to be, if some as refined as Gwendolyn DuPont Bettencourt participated there must be some merit in it even if she didn’t understand. She would agree to allow her daughter to move forward with the pursuit but only under the condition she would continue to work for the the family business and help to establish a foothold in Japan. Seraphine accepted.

Fun Facts:

Smooth Ride: Seraphine drives a motorcycle in Japan, finding it far more convenient than a car. If she has to ride in something else, she prefers vehicles with open tops so she can feel the rush of air in travel.

Personal Endorsement: It is no surprise that growing up around a family of jewelers has given her an appreciation for fine jewelry. Regardless of how much she might like another piece she sees in the wild, she rarely wears anything but her handmade creations.
