Louise did have a point, Morgan was making a fool of her a fair bit but this wasn’t a standard match. Why be boring just in the first room putting each other in submissions? Puke.

“Quit taking yourself so seriously. How about that?” Morgan spat back but she was still giggling to herself like it was all a joke. It wasn’t really, Morgan just had the habit of laughing off uncomfortable situations as a habit.

But this wasn’t a war of words as evident by her opponent flinging herself across the room in a drop kick. Morgan kept low as she slipped off the bed avoiding her opponent’s attack. She’d pull the covers of the bed and try to dump them onto her likely grounded opponent to give her time to escape the room.

Morgan would try to make a break for it choosing the nearest door and swinging it open and running inside without a second thought... only to realize she ran right into a closet that was surprisingly full of various hanging clothing. This might have meant she was trapped but she did find a creepy looking doll and thought of an idea. She would try to shut the door and then toss the doll at Louise the moment she opened it. Then she’d barrel it out of the closet trying to shove her opponent aside and try to find another door.

For much of her life, Louise had quite literally made a living out of evading people who were bigger than her. When she couldn't go through their outstretched arms, she simply went around or over them instead. That was how she'd earned her moniker as the Scarlet Streak. It was something that, once upon a time, she'd been proud of. Now, she hated how much Morgan reminded her of that.

It wasn't just Louise's garden-variety angst over being reminded of her former career. It was more so that Morgan was using such a similar style to make her look like a damn idiot. This was a fight. She was a fighter. But here was Morgan, treating the whole thing like they were friends horsing around instead of opponents trying to hurt each other in pursuit of a goal. It was so juvenile, so annoying that Louise just wanted to get this match over with and get on with her career, with her life.

Being so easily dodged then having another piece of fabric thrown on her from the bed didn't help matters, either. Louise got up just in time to see Morgan close the door to what looked like a closet, seemingly trapping herself within. Furrowing her brow and huffing in anger, Louise strode over to said closet. She couldn't help but feel like the villain in a slasher movie (she hated the genre, but she was generally aware of the tropes), about to throw open the door where the heroine was hiding and-

"AAAAAHHHH!"

Suddenly, a desiccated baby with crackling skin and a wicked smile jumped out at her! Louise shrieked at the sight, almost making her throat raw. She fell on her ass, slapping the child away with a pitiful, panicked set of swipes. It was only when the baby made a telltale clattering sound on the floor that Louise realized that it was, in fact, not a baby. It was a doll... a rather creepy-looking doll, but still a doll nonetheless.

She took a moment to gather her breath, absentmindedly noting that this was why she hated slasher flicks. It was also why she hated this match so much, even before she'd met Morgan's insufferable tactics. Speaking of... the blonde was nowhere to be found. Not attacking her, not setting up for a move, not even in the room. Rising to her feet, Louise marched out of the room's other door and started to hunt for her foe.

"Morgan! Get the hell back here!"

Escape from Haunted Hill - Magnificent Pendragon vs Scarlet Louise - Page 2 Empty Re: Escape from Haunted Hill - Magnificent Pendragon vs Scarlet Louise

That doll was a lucky find as it turned out. Morgan couldn't believe the look on Louise's face when she saw that thing and that shriek of terror was priceless. Apparently someone did not like watching scary movies growing up which was slowly becoming a hilarious realization to the escape artist wrestler. If just a simple jump scare could practically paralyze Louise then Morgan's mind began to work on just how far she could try and take this.

If her experience in showmanship and psychology of belief that came with her performances were to relied on, she needed to let the theme marinate. Wandering a Haunted House all alone would let those feelings of fear and nervousness circulate for sure. She ran initially to get as much distance from Louise as she could, clearing a few rooms away and triggering a variety of motion activated jump scares. That pop-down ghost in her starting corridor being one that she was ready for. The lurching cloak monster what seemed to be a coat room got her as it blended in with the variety of coats. The thing even laid a hand on her, making her jump but that only meant Louise, the scaredy cat she was, would have a far rougher time than a horror movie veteran like Morgan.

After finding her scare in the coat room, Morgan was by the front entrance, obviously locked. She might have been able to snag that key earlier but at the cost of not having more fun would have been too high, she thought. The one thing that surprised her in the grand foyer with the front door was that there was a second story allowed access by two curving staircases in this room on either side. The prop and stage department really deserve props for building a two story mansion, crammed as it was, into a commercial rental.

Up one of the two staircases Morgan went to see what she could find. Immediately she got rewarded with a noosed half zombie prop that was tied to the second story bannister. Clearly this was set up for someone to throw over the edge as the opponent passed into the foyer from underneath the second story railing. Lifting it up, Morgan was prepared to drop it especially if Louise wandered in from down below. A prelude to what would be an even bigger scare.

Once Morgan would drop the dummy, she'd creep unseen letting the creaking floor and silence unsettle her opponent even more, wandering into the Séance room. It was room much like the bedroom from earlier except a round clothed table with a crystal ball dominated the center of the room. A chandelier There was hardly any room to maneuver around the table but considering the table cloth went to the floor Morgan hatched her great scare idea.

When Louise would eventually wander into this room, Morgan would be hidden under the table waiting for her opponent to step within range and then reach out to grab her ankle and give it a pull to scare her half to death. Surely this would work and Morgan would retreat and slide out from the other side of the table to try and escape once more into the mansion with a giggle.

As soon as she left the bedroom, Louise immediately regretted that decision. The hallway before her was unsettling, to say the least. Its greying, mottled wood creaked with every shift of her weight, and even without one at times. A slight breeze brushed past her silver-and-scarlet hair, despite no obvious air conditioning unit or opening to the outside world. Louise thought she even caught the movement of a cloak here or silhouette there, right in the corner of her eye. Of course, when she dared to look at whatever movement she saw, the source was nowhere to be found. With a gulp, Louise furrowed her brow and timidly stepped forward, trying desperately to ignore the groaning of the wood beneath her.

"AHHHH!"

Suddenly, a blank-eyed, ashen ghoul sprung out at Louise, its ectoplasmic grasp just inches away from her face! Louise screamed again, flinching and immediately covering up. "Please don't steal my soul!" she begged. After a few seconds, nothing more happened, and Louise's soul was most definitely not stolen. Hazarding a peek through her fingers, the Dutchwoman's annoyance was aroused once more as the saw the fabric ghost receding back into a nearby duct, a hidden motor whirring and clicking away. Great, she thought, more jump scares... Hardly comforted by that reveal, her heart rate started to fall back to its normal level, and Louise continued forward.

"AUGHHHH!"

Despite her knowledge of what was coming, though, it didn't make it any easier to escape the traps unfazed. Every time, though, a little bit of Louise's fear was replaced by anger, making her madder-

"YAAAAAAH!"

And madder-

"FUCK, SHIT, FUCK!"

And madder.

By the time she'd figured out that Morgan must have gone upstairs, Louise must have looked awful. Her hair was frayed in places, and her breathing was heavy. A single trail left behind by a long-dried tear even streaked down her left cheek. By that point, though, Louise's fury was almost at it's boiling point.

"MORGAN!" she called out as she entered the seance room. The Scarlet Streak tried to ignore how her voice was still wavering as she threatened her opponent. "I know you're in here! Come on out so I can beat your- whoa!"

Once again, her opponent (no doubt about that... unless it was a zombie) reached out to surprise her! Unlike before, though, she was ready: Louise would swing her other foot, already raised from having flinched at the contact, around, and stomp down hard at the hand below! (Which, if it was a zombie, was still a great move, to be sure.) Regardless of whether or not the reflexive stomp landed, though, she would surely notice Morgan attempt to scamper away yet again.

"Oh no, you don't!" she yelled, taking a few steps towards the far wall of the room. The ceiling was taller here, with an ornamental chandelier being the main source of light in this room. Hopefully, it was sturdy enough to hold her weight; otherwise, this move would end humiliatingly once more. With a brief run-up towards the table and chandelier, Louise leapt up, her prodigious leaping ability hopefully letting her grab the bottom of the chandelier, swing on it, and launch herself towards Morgan's back before she escaped through the doorway!

Morgan’s antics up to this point had only costed her a mean slap which considering the fun she was having up to this point, was a fair trade. However it appeared like inflation was going to be a thing for her fun.

Louise, the buzzkill that she was, was less unnerved than Morgan had planned and as a result received a painful stomp onto her hand. She screeched as watched and felt her hand flatten, recalling it the instant she could.

That left her nursing her hand as she tried to slip away. She was less focused and knew her opponent would chase her but did not account for just how and well.. how fast she would catch up.

Morgan took an unexpected impact into her spine, rocketing forward to collide face first into the wall with a nasty thud. The wall had naturally won showing only a dent in the material plaster while Morgan bounced off and collapsed to the cheap carpeted flooring.

Sprawled out on the floor, she looked KO’d had it not been for the ginger movements of her stirring in her writhe. “Ow...” she groaned not sure whether to use her good hand to nurse the wound on her Aching back or spinning head.

Louise caught herself on her elbows, the landing from her swinging dropkick scratching up whatever skin she'd dared to show tonight. She couldn't bring herself to notice or care, though. There was simply too much adrenaline was flowing through her veins, both from Morgan's little scare tactics and her own intense disdain for them. Now, though, that adrenaline, that disdain had a very clear target: Morgan herself, who was now sprawled on the ground and hardly moving at all.

At another time, on another day, Louise might have been worried for her opponent, even if she did ultimately look (mostly) okay. Today, though, she was far from worried. In fact, much of her mind was immensely satisfied to see her opponent's crumpled, writhing form. The rest of Louise was scared of that part, sure, but the parts of her paying attention to her conscience weren't in control right now. No, the Louise at the helm was the Louise that wanted payback for how Morgan had treated her these last few minutes. And payback was just what she'd get, God willing.

Sneering at her opponent from above, Louise roughly grabbed at the back of her sheer shirt and flung her out the door towards a nearby hallway wall! She then followed Morgan out and pinned her against that wall, raking her hands roughly across the blonde's back as she did so.

"Betcha wish you didn't underestimate me, huh?" she growled, her breath coming out raspy and angrily uneven as it no doubt cascaded down Morgan's cheek.

All fun and games until someone gets picked up by the shirt and tossed out like they had a rough night. Though really, Morgan's night was just beginning so terrible way to begin.

Dazed, the blonde smacked up against the wall in the hallway, jostling the rickety build of the hastily built structure. She might have slid back down the ground had it not been for Louise pinning her from behind. Again, the wall shook and for a moment, Morgan thought it might give way to send them crashing through. It would have probably been the better outcome as vicious nails came tearing across her lower back.

Morgan arched her back, pressing against the wall as her head lifted to utter a rather agonized cry that left her a bit out of breath. Now breathing heavily, she froze up as she heard that harsh growled threat from her opponent.

"Jeez... ever have... fun?" Morgan breathed giving her opponent a side-eyed look. It was her response before she tried throw her arm around and try to club Louise in the forehead with her wayward arm. At the very least, she was trying to turn around to face her opponent again and break free of being pinned.
