Strategy: Kaede is a dedicated submissionist, with a style leaning heavily toward humiliation and demoralization. She is quick and intelligent, staying outside of range until her opponent whiffs an attack, at which point she will lunge in for a series of strikes in an attempt to take them down so that she can tangle them up and stretch them within an inch of tapping out before releasing. She is particularly punishing toward those with showy personalities, whether Face or a fellow Heel.

Kaede is most often seen with a serious expression, and only those who know her well have ever seen her smile. She has a somewhat lean body type, with very little muscle on her figure. She was blessed, however, with nice hips and a respectable bust size. She does not typically show off her body outside the ring, instead choosing to wear baggier or less revealing clothes when out and about.

Personality:

Kaede’s in-ring and out-of-ring personalities couldn’t be more different from each other. In-ring, Kaede is icy and cynical, showing no enjoyment of being in the ring unless she’s punishing an opponent whose gimmick she particularly despises. Outside of the ring, she’s no less serious, but she is a considerably more pleasant person. In both situations, she regards the wrestling industry like any other nine-to-five job and scoffs at those who treat it like some sort of lifestyle or try to present themselves as any sort of over-the-top character.

Past/History:

Kaede was born in Osaka to an artist and a professional wrestler. Her mother was known in the city for her art and would teach her daughter the trade as she grew older, in the hopes that Kaede would not follow her father’s footsteps. Her father, Eizo Adachi, was a controversial figure in the pro-wrestling scene. Known as Hentai Ōji Adachi, or Pervert Prince Adachi, her father was both revered and reviled for his role in ‘revolutionizing’ mixed pro wrestling in Japan with his move set focused on humiliating his female opponents through demoralizing sexual tactics.

Despite her mother’s wishes, Kaede eventually got to see her father wrestle in a brutal near-loss match vs Mami Miyamoto, an outspoken female wrestler who had declared Eizo an enemy to all female wrestlers. Eizo had only barely secured the win after Kaede had cried out to her father from the audience, distracting Mami enough for Eizo to secure his finisher, though his back would sustain some damage from the brutal match.

After a few more damaging matches, and a divorce, Kaede’s father retired from the ring. Kaede never saw her mother again, though she would continue to improve her artistic skills as she grew older. Part of her hoped that if she improved her artistic skills enough, she’d see her mother at a gallery opening someday. In the meantime, however, her interest in wrestling had strengthened from an idle interest to a desire to participate, and her father hired an old friend from his own wrestling days to train her, both using his old move set and a few new tricks which would give Kaede a competitive edge.

Kaede skipped through much of wrestling school due to her father’s training, instead managing to get signed to an independent promotion in less than a year. She bounced around the independent circuit for a few years before a certain boredom set in. She’d enjoyed being billed as ‘The Pervert Princess,’ as it made her father happy to see her following his legacy, but she wanted to honor her mother just as much despite her having left them. She approached her father with a new idea for a gimmick. While he was hesitant at first, he eventually agreed to it. Soon, the Ink Demon would be born.

Once she created the Ink Demon persona, the boredom dissipated rapidly. She began using her paintbrushes and other non-fragile artist’s tools in her matches, as well as giving her defeated opponents little souvenirs of their losses. Soon, it progressed to the point that she would take photos of her defeated opponents, in order to paint them later for her own private collection. After a few high-profile wins, she attracted the attention of AFW, who offered her a Friction contract with the possibility for Tension matches. After going over the contract with her father and a lawyer, she signed it. She would be bringing her artistic perversion to AFW, where she planned to conquer a whole new roster of arrogant, showy fools.

Fun Facts:
Kaede’s favorite medium is inks, hence the ring persona. She also uses paints, though they can be a bit too runny for her liking.

Kaede’s weakness is fried chicken. She had it for the first time on a trip to America with her promotion, and it is now her favorite food (though she limits her consumption for health reasons)
