Malina vs Lewa Kurosaka

The lights dimmed in the auditory and "The Face of my Innocence", by Arsis, started playing on the background as Malina appeared on top of the ramp. She had recently been in her debut match, where at the last moment she had been overtaken by the kawaii streetfighter Tracy Snow. Her wounds seemed to have healed well, and her nose was back in shape, but her battered pride was not. Her face reflected the same determination, but she no longer carried that quiet smile of hers. Starting with a losing record was bad, and she looked to mend that. This match would be with a fighter out of the kawaii league, so if she won she would be able to score back some points.

Malina walked quietly down the ramp and slid under the bottom rope, getting into the ring. She would then await her unknown opponent.

The rockish music came on as Lewa walked down the ramp, looking around her with wide-eyed wonder as the spotlights danced and the crowd cheered at the newcomer. She'd been prepped for that kind of thing, but it still amazed her. They'd also told her how there'd be a lot less rules this time around. That was good. Rules were confusing. Why would you needs rules for fighting? She knew how to fight, because lions knew how to fight. That was easy.

She got a good running speed up about halfway down the ramp, starting to sprint and then leaping up high enough to grab the top ropes and sling herself over gracefully, leapfrogging them and landing in a squat as she beamed proudly. Then she spied her opponent, scowling at the petit blond and arching her back a bit. "Rrrr," she said, sounding like a child's play growl but essentially the very same intent as a real beast's. "This' my ring!" she snapped territorially.

Malina watched her opponent, getting a bit surprised when Lewa completed her stunt perfectly and got into the ring. The dark-skinned fighter looked like a wild animal, although she seemed to be more of a cub than a flesh-ripping beast. Appearances aside, she did seem quite athletic. Malina adjusted her silver glove on her right hand and walked a couple of steps closer to Lewa. "I'm Malina Fledgerstan. I am your opponent; if you want the ring or whatever, fight me and earn it."

"Yes," she said certainly, squatting to all fours so her lean body was stretched into taut muscle. "RRRRRrraAAA!" She pounced at Malina, actually just before the bell sounded and tried to crash bodily into her and slam Malina over backward to the mat.

Malina was just about to return to her corner and wait for the bell when, without any warning, the wild Lewa jumped straight onto her. This caught her unprepared, and with a grunt she fell to the mat just as the bell rang. "So this one likes to cheat, eh?" thought Malina. Lewa was now on top of her, so before anything she would send a knuckle towards her, wanting her to get out.

Lewa's head zipped speedily to one side, dodging the blow but retreating quickly in a hop backward, letting out a quiet warning growl under her breath as she stood with her body lowered readily, hands nearly touching the mat as though she expected to need an extra set of legs. She'd try to leap over any low attack Malina'd try, hoping to kick her in the back or head when she did.

Malina scrambled to her feet quickly as soon as Lewa got off her. She looked with amusement at Lewa peculiar stance, and decided to proceed with caution. Malina got into a low crouch, stretching her arms in front of her body and face, and in that stance she'd slowly start approaching the wild child.

The African girl started to move in slowly, arms raised a bit like either a grapplers stance or claws. Her eyes meet Malina's defiantly, but her expression seems to soften a bit. She raises her hands up to offer a test of strength, and while a wild girl, she genuinely wanted to offer a fair contest against the other small girl.
"I want a contest," she said in something between friendly and challenging.

Lewa's phrasing was a bit strange to Malina's ears, but she understood the intention behind her action. "Um, I accept." She would lock hands with the African girl and start pushing. However, if Malina saw Lewa's midriff exposed even for a moment, she would interrupt the 'contest' and drive a knee to Lewa's belly.

Replacing her usual growls with focused grunts, Lewa leaned into the struggle hard, abs tightening into hard muscle as well as her lean arms. She got some good pressure before she leaned hard into the push, eyes flying wide open when she saw too late that the knee was crashing into her belly, making her try to pull her hands back to cradle her injured guts defensively.
