Carmen Rodriguez was excited. More excited than she’d been in a long time. There were a couple of reasons for this.

First off, it was good to be back in a match again. She’d taken the past year off from wrestling, focusing more on getting her gym solvent, wanting it to be a viable business that could stand on its own two feet without her monitoring it all the time. Now, about four years after she had the place up and running, she was just now making that dream a reality, finally getting enough of a staff to run the gym like a gym should’ve been run. Full auto, hands off for the most part.

That meant she had more time on her hands, time she could spend in a variety of ways, and she figured the best way to do that would be to dust off her Tension membership and get back to the ring. That was the second reason she was excited, finally getting back into the mix.

But the third reason, the biggest reason, was that she was getting back into the mix against a woman she’d been wanting to face for a while: Mako Adachi.

She’d met the woman a while ago, after she came into her gym, and the two of them had an interesting little spar. The younger fighter had shown a lot of promise back then, and Carmen knew she’d go far...but she never imagined how far. The Tension Champion. The one who finally shut Reira up and claimed the title, ushering in a new era. That was the way management was billing it, anyway, and she was curious to see how well the assessment would hold up. While she wasn’t bold enough to be asking for a title match herself, she did want to at least take Mako on in some capacity. And that capacity? A 24/7 Match.

It had been a while too long, since she’d participated in a 24/7 match, which was weird for a former champion to say. After she’d lost the title, she’d been sort of adrift, sinking into more normal matches and getting a slight taste of her old boxing life with Lorenza. Fun stuff for sure, but she couldn’t deny that she felt the desire to dip her toes in the dirt once again. Even though she’d more or less gotten the belt by accident, it had led to a highlight in her career.

In summary? She was just looking to have a little fun, again.

That was why she’d dressed up in her wrestling attire, wrapped up her fists, and was getting ready to head out of her apartment. She’d sent an invite to Mako to meet her at a supermarket with the referee for the match, and the last thing she wanted to be was late for the Champ. Applying a little lotion to her scalp as she went, Carmen made her way to the foyer, opened the door, and-

When Carmen finally opened the door to leave her apartment, there would be two people already waiting for her. One appeared to be a timid, female referee wearing a stripped top with an exposed midriff, black briefs, and normal looking black shoes. The other, wasted no time before delivering a sudden kick right into Carmen's stomach. It was one hell of a kick too. Being caught off guard by it would no doubt suck. However, this wasn't the ambush that Carmen was expecting. Not only was it still too early to meet up, and that this was not where they were supposed to meet, but there was one more detail that made no sense. It was that this woman kicking her was definitely not the current World Champion of Tension, Mako Adachi.

Suzuki:

In fact, Carmen had never before met this woman standing next to the sheepish ref girl. It was an older woman, wearing what seemed like normal business attire. It was a black suit without a tie, a white button shirt, and instead of a professional business skirt, she wore black pants. The apparel itself didn't appear like it was good quality. More like standard...or barely standard. The woman's eyes were hidden behind black shades, but the smirk on her face seemed like this was amusing for her. This woman was the only one here who knew what was really happening...and when she introduced herself, things must've seemed ten times stranger for Carmen.

"Hello, Miss Rodriguez. I found your little invite the other day in my daughter's mail box." the woman said while walking right into the apartment. Some might have missed it since it was done so nonchalantly, but the woman had just introduce herself as Mako's mother. Then after brushing past Carmen, she'd waste no time to look over the apartment. It was like she was judging whether or not this area was right for her. As she did so, the woman also took off her suit jacket and just tossed it on a couch close by, before kicking off her shoes towards a wall. "Hmm...this'll work..." she said, apparently having decided before turning back to Carmen and the shy ref who was trying to enter without getting much attention.

My name is Suzuki...and Mako's not coming...it'll just be you...and me." the intruder announced as she started unbuttoning and stripping away her shirt. Without it, all Suzuki had covering her breasts were red colored wrappings. She would have removed her pants as well...but the woman was smart enough to wait. Sure Carmen had been stunned...but there was no way the woman was gonna stay down for that long. As soon as she realized what this was...she'd be ready to fight. So to avoid getting tackled in the middle of taking off her pants, they'd stay where they were.

Suzuki was very grateful to Carmen for giving her this opportunity, though. For weeks she'd been thinking about joining Tension. Her daughter was having so much fun after all, so Suzuki couldn't help but have some for herself. It would be tricky considering her position in the underworld  took up time and put her in a rather poor light morally. Luckily, bribery and violence were tools she was more than proficient in. So getting her name on the roster wasn't that hard. It might be a few more days before it was official, but that wouldn't stop Suzuki from testing out the water by jumping right into a brawl with the famous Carmen Rodriguez. When Mako found out she'd stolen this from her, she'd be furious. After all, she wanted to fight all out with Carmen really, really badly. But Suzuki always loved to see her daughter bent out of shape over this sort of thing. So she was actually looking forward to Mako finding this all out. For now, though...she wanted to see what Carmen could offer her...

Suzuki Adachi vs. Carmen Rodriguez - Blood in the Water Empty Re: Suzuki Adachi vs. Carmen Rodriguez - Blood in the Water

Post by acuyra Tue Mar 31, 2020 11:41 pm

Carmen opened the door and found a foot embedded deep in her stomach. Needless to say, she was somewhat surprised by this, though not as surprised as most would’ve been. Being the 24/7 Champion made for a rough time, but during those months, she’d developed a sort of heightened sense of things, had learned to never let her guard down. Even though she no longer had the gold, there was still a part of her that expected an attack from any direction at any moment, that was always trying to analyze the area for what she could use in a fight. That sense had dulled over the past year, but it never truly went away.

So, when she issued a 24/7 match, she’d gone into it knowing there might be a slight chance of Mako bringing the fight to her. What she hadn’t expected, what truly through her for a loop, however was all of…this.

She fell to her knees, coughs and spittle all around, as the referee walked into her apartment with the strange woman. Carmen was busy shaking the effects off from that hellacious blow, but she wasn’t so out of it that she didn’t register what the woman was saying. The moment she saw her, she’d thought the stranger looked strangely familiar, and the reason why was revealed soon enough.

”Her Mom?” She said it like the concept itself was almost impossible, but looking at her, the resemblance was hard to ignore. She had the built, the look, even a similar walk and style. Different hair, different tattoos, and she was around twice the age, but...yeah, Carmen bought it. And with a kick like that, she also bought that the woman was a real threat.

There was a time when she would’ve shied away from this and outright refused the fight in her home, but that was before she hadn’t had to do it, twice. The AFW was good about reimbursing that sort of thing. Besides, truth be told, she was curious what this woman had to offer. Maybe even a little attracted.

So.

”Fuck it, then.” Carmen pushed herself up and rushed Suzuki head on, leading in with left jab and following up with a right straight, both aimed at the woman’s face, looking to start off strong and drive her towards the couch.

Suzuki Adachi vs. Carmen Rodriguez - Blood in the Water Empty Re: Suzuki Adachi vs. Carmen Rodriguez - Blood in the Water

"...Yes...her mom...I hope your punches aren't this slow..." Suzuki groaned, already insulting the woman. She really hoped Carmen wouldn't turn out to be a disappointment. If that happened it would be such a waste that she stole this challenge from her daughter. Mako's anger was humorous in its own way...but it just wouldn't be worth the hassle unless Carmen put up a decent fight. Luckily, it seemed that the woman had just decided to go along with this. Letting out curse before rushing the yakuza mother, Carmen waste no time getting physical now that she'd come to terms with this madness.

Suzuki didn't have to wait any longer as she go struck in the face by the woman's left jab. The blow connected with an audible THWACK. And judging by the look on her face when that fist was pulled back, Suzuki was already thrilled. She looked like she was both happy, and ready to kill the bitch in front of her. Sure the punch hurt, but it wasn't enough to slow down this badass mother. That was her edge in every conflict. Something she had that countless combatants lacked as they challenged her. She was so fucking, borderline-inhumanly tough. Suzuki knew how to fight, and she could fight like hell. But compared to athletes and partitioners of martial arts, she was lacking in techniques and some of the more complicated skills. This match up between her and Carmen was the perfect example of skill vs power. However, the winner of this fight would most likely be determined by something they both shared...

...having a talent for mixing creativity and violence.

Street fights weren't won by having a thick skull. When there were no rules...the many paths to victory were infinite. If one had enough creativity...there was no telling how a fight could go. These 24/7 matches were really just to show off flashy ways to beat down opponents. And Suzuki knew A LOT of ways to hurt people. With Carmen as her a opponent, the yakuza boss actually felt the risk of defeat. Something she didn't notice with most of her challengers in the underground.

So, with the face of a twisted devil, Suzuki grabbed Carmen and pulled her closer. Her opponent was a striker. Most people kept their distance to avoid blows of a striker, but not Suzuki. She knew the key was getting close. Too close for a boxer to throw their best punches. This was the strategy Suzuki used against her own daughter. Nowadays Mako was a much better grappler...but back in the early days where they'd spar every now and then...she was utterly tortured whenever her mom got a good enough grip. After an hour of being bent, squeezed, and rag dolled on the floor, her mother always put her to sleep with a rear naked choke. Looking back Suzuki wondered if these were the sorts of things that turned her into such a kinky, oversexed predator. But she avoided thinking about that as much as she could...

Speaking of sex...Suzuki didn't actually know how this whole..."instant sex" thing worked. She knew that it made watching her daughter's matches insanely difficult and nerve wracking since her daughter could strip down and start humming the other woman at any moment. But her daughter wasn't the only one who did this sorta thing. For example, Carmen here had sex in her very first match. It wasn't a fuck fight, though...it was a hardcore match. Actually...what were the matches called again? The more she thought about it...fuck fights didn't sound right at all. The details didn't matter. Suzuki just wanted to know when she should expect someone to start licking her all over. Or when she was expected to do the same. Cause if that sorta caught her by surprise...depending on the person she might jump right to full blown murder without thinking...

"Speaking of fucking it..." the woman started to say, referring to Carmen's earlier statement as she took the worst approach possible. "...When does all that start?" Suzuki said while continuing to struggle on her feet with the boxer. A bit more context might help makes this question sound less...insane. But they were in the middle of a brawl...so talking wasn't a priority at all for the badass mother. Speaking of the fight...she wanted to start dragging Carmen backwards so that they could fall onto the couch. Of course Suzki was getting the layout confused with her own house where there was a window overlooking a decorative pond. It wouldn't have been the first time she dragged someone backwards before dropping back and semi-monkey flipping them through it (It was only closed and as a result shattered once, though). So it wasn't surprising that Suzuki had instinctually confused the layout. Luckily, at worst the result would be a soft, cushiony landing. Instead of a mishap with a staircase....which may or may not have happened before...twice.

Suzuki Adachi vs. Carmen Rodriguez - Blood in the Water Empty Re: Suzuki Adachi vs. Carmen Rodriguez - Blood in the Water

Post by acuyra Wed Apr 01, 2020 3:28 am

And the first hit went to Carmen.

The first legitimate hit, anyway, if you wanted to discount Suzuki’s opening shot. It had been a stiff one, there was no getting around that, but she wasn’t putting too much stock in that hit alone when it came to judging how tough her opponent was. Once you managed to tear your gaze away from those breasts of hers, it was easy to tell that this was well-built, strong for any age, but that was just on the outside. How much could those older bones under the hood take? How many punches to the face before things started to crack? Youth was an advantage, and Carmen still had a fair bit of it left.

But for now, she reveled in the feel of a fist against a face, something she hadn’t experienced in far, far too long. It was a solid blow, and while it wasn’t much more than a jab, she could feel the impact travel up her arm. The sensation from the muscles tightening, the face giving way. It was enough to stagger anyone.

...mostly anyone. There were exceptions. Lorenza Saldano, Dasher Inoba, and this bitch, apparently.

Instead of stumbling back, she got a smile from this woman, as she took the blow in stride, and even pulled her in close for a tight clench. That move alone was enough to surprise Carmen, and it made the disadvantage she had here all too obvious - Suzuki probably knew what to expect from her, but the same couldn’t be said vice versa. For now, all Carmen could do was make stuff up on the fly and hope it was sufficient.

”No idea…” Carmen spoke through grunts, as she struggled to overpower the older woman. ”No idea what you’re talking about.” Not true, she had some idea what Suzuki was on about, but she wasn’t in that mood at the moment - for now, her concern was more on the woman who’d invaded her apartment and the referee that was scurrying around her couch, desperate to avoid the fighters in this enclosed space.

There was only so far that could go, though, as Suzuki pulled her back onto the couch, making it tip over with their combined weight. It had to suck for both of them, but it was worst for Carmen, as she was flipped over and crashed into a set of drawers upside down, knocking it over and sending family photos scattering. Because what she really needed was shattered glass, right now.

Grumbling and groaning, she rolled over and started to push her way back up, readjusting her brain in the process. A slower process than she liked.

Suzuki Adachi vs. Carmen Rodriguez - Blood in the Water Empty Re: Suzuki Adachi vs. Carmen Rodriguez - Blood in the Water

Post by M.J.Caboose14 Tue Apr 07, 2020 8:09 pm

Suzuki let out what sounded like a whine and a groan combined after hearing Carmen’s response. Either the woman was being cruel to keep her waiting anxiously (Which sounded like a kink of some kind), or she was being vindictive about being ambushed by someone other than Mako. Either way it got on her nerves a bit. When they suddenly hit the couch, though, Suzuki was surprised. Confusing the layout for her own home caused her to hesitate briefly as the tumbled.

Suzuki wasn’t too shaken up, at least not as much as Carmen was after hitting some drawers. The chaos caused some pictures to fall and break as well. Causing broken glass spread across on the floor. No doubt the glass would become a problem for everyone involved. Mostly for Suzuki, though, since she followed her daughter’s example and fought without footwear. With both women down but starting to get up, it seemed like the violence would resume shortly. And since Carmen took the worst of it, Suzuki had the advantage to strike first.

But instead she grabbed a few of the broken picture frames and slid them across the floor towards a wall. Getting them out of the way wasn’t so much to avoid setting on them but token the pictures themselves from getting ruin. There were lots of things that could be fixed or replaced with money. But pictures were not one of those things. It annoyed Suzuki that she was being such a mom right now. Especially during a fight. Maybe Carmen wouldn’t notice if she didn’t say anything about them.

“Don’t worry about damages…I’ll pay for everything…and a little more if this goes well~” Suzuki added before getting up on one knee, and then standing back up entirely. It didn’t dawn on Suzuki that what she’d just said could be taken another way. Building off of her earlier question, this could have come across as offering to pay for sex. Unlike her daughter, Suzuki was not obsessed with sex. But, the shark was ALWAYS flirting and making dirty jokes while growing up. At some point…it became impossible to tell apart what was normal talk and what was sex talk. So where Mako could find a way to make anything dirty on purpose, her mother ended up saying the same things by accident and without realizing.

Now Suzuki would wait with her fists raised for Carmen to stand up, as well. After all, going to her meant walking barefoot over some broken glass. And as much as she enjoyed watching Die Hard and any other action movie Mako made her watch…she did NOT want to be like John Mcclain, unless it was absolutely unavoidable.

Suzuki Adachi vs. Carmen Rodriguez - Blood in the Water Empty Re: Suzuki Adachi vs. Carmen Rodriguez - Blood in the Water

Post by acuyra Sat Apr 11, 2020 4:05 am

Carmen wasn’t sure what to make of the noise that Suzuki made in response to her reply. She didn’t have a problem with cougars, and while she was wrapped up in the moment, she wasn’t so unfocused that she couldn’t appreciate what a fine physical specimen the older Adachi was - once you got over the resemblance to her daughter, she was quite a beauty in her own right, and she loved those tattoos. But… ”Sorry, you want anything out of me? You work for it.”

Those were the grumbled words that came out of Carmen as she recovered on the floor, doing her best to shake off the nasty toss she’d just been through. Suzuki had good reflexes for a woman her age, for any age. Skilled, experienced, but with a body that was still able to make proper use of it all. Dangerous. It made her wonder why she’d never heard of this woman before. She generally tried to keep her eyes open to the world of combat sports, and while that was a big world to view, someone like this was hard to miss.

Carmen also wondered why her opponent didn’t take the time to come after while she recovered, but she wasn’t about to complain. As she pushed up, she could see Suzuki on her toes, ready to go, bouncing while the referee moved around her. Rushing in hadn’t worked so well last time, but maybe a more methodical approach would work.

Grabbing the wall for support, Carmen pushed her way up, one foot after the other, the glass crunching under her feet. She moved forward, slow and steady, judging her firing range and figuring where Suzuki’s was, keeping her gaze locked on her opponent.

Out came a jab. Quick. Swift. Aimed at Suzuki’s face. Another jab followed right after, with a right cross coming hard in the next instant after that, shooting towards her opponent’s chest as she stepped forward, trying to see if she could force her foe into a retreat with the textbook combination.

Suzuki Adachi vs. Carmen Rodriguez - Blood in the Water Empty Re: Suzuki Adachi vs. Carmen Rodriguez - Blood in the Water

Post by M.J.Caboose14 Sun Apr 12, 2020 2:24 pm

Suzuki was glad Carmen had no clue that she just moved the pictures out of the way. It trashy saved her from a lot of grief and embarrassment. However, what Carmen said was confusing. Suzuki really was clueless when it came to their discussion about the sex in this league. Now it sounded like Carmen was daring her to get sexual. Like that was the prize. To avoid any more confusion about all of this damned sex talk during their brawl, Suzuki was just going to assume anything lewd was for after the match. It would just be easier than trying to get things worked out during all this violence. "Wow...you really sound just like Mako...Hehe...she's gonna be so pissed that I did this..." Suzuki would say with a chuckle. "I gotta work for it, huh?" the older woman thought to herself, repeating Carmen's own words in her head. It was like the Puerto Rican had stolen the words straight from her daughter's mouth.

Mako was a fanatic about working for her fun. Sure she could be get all the sex in the world...but to her it'd only be half as good...if even. It was better to put effort into things. Everything had to be a challenge...or else it'd be worthless to the young woman. It was odd to see Mako follow that belief so zealously, but Suzuki was glad that her daughter was like this all the same. It kept her daughter from ever getting lazy or turning her fighting skills rusty. It also kept Mako from becoming an arrogant bitch. Sure she could be cocky during fights, but she never looked down on people. Since Mako was always looking for the best in people to challenge herself, she would never believe she was just naturally better than others. Everyone had their strengths, and she loved competing against those strengths with her own. So...because they could challenge her, because she needed to put in effort to take them on...literally everyone had worth in her eyes.

Meanwhile, her opponent was close to recovering. It wouldn't take too long for Carmen to get back up and stand on her own two feet. With only a little help from the wall to stay balanced, the boxing prodigy would get up and approach her older challenger once again. Suzuki smirked eagerly as Carmen got closer and closer. Then, without fail, the first jab came at her like a missile. Suzuki thought she could take it like the last one, but only idiots let every strike land. And there was NO WAY IN HELL that pride would ever turn Suzuki MOTHER FUCKING Adachi into ANY kind of idiot!

Of course, Carmen was a crazy good striker...so blocking these was proving to be much more difficult than she thought it'd be. As soon as Suzuki managed to block the incoming jab with her forearm, another would hit her right in the face. Clearly there was no way she could exchange blows with Carmen like this. She was born and raised a boxer. She made it into the damned Olympics, and got fucking silver. Even if Suzuki could see the punch coming and block it, her opponent could see beyond that. While Suzuki was in the moment, Carmen was at least three punches ahead of her. There was no way the older woman could predict the strikes that her opponent had planned in advance. The third punch caught her completely off guard. She was already shaken up in surprise, and stunned by the impact of the second jab. So the right cross that connected with her chest, that made a dent.

Grunting out loudly, Suzuki ended up stumbling backwards a few feet, before coming to a stop close to downed couch. The badass mother was pretty stunned by those blows, but she was still standing like the toughest bitch alive (Which she, without a doubt, was). Arms already raised in the air without a second thought, Suzuki was instinctively on the defensive while trying to clear up the annoying daze inside her head as quickly as she possibly could.

Suzuki Adachi vs. Carmen Rodriguez - Blood in the Water Empty Re: Suzuki Adachi vs. Carmen Rodriguez - Blood in the Water

Post by acuyra Mon Apr 13, 2020 12:27 am

Good, the two of them seemed to be on the same page for the time being. The same page. Suzuki was an odd woman - that much was clear from the way she’d introduced herself - but that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. They clearly had similar attractions, respecting each other’s prowess, and there were ways to show that appreciation...just not during the match. If Carmen wanted a sexfight, she’d have asked for a sexfight. No, she was looking to pin an Adachi, and the elder one would do.

She came in strong, and the woman reacted better than most of her opponent’s would’ve. The jab that came out wasn’t a slow one, would’ve landed nine times out of ten, but Suzuki had the 10% reflexes to block it with her forearm. Impressive. It just left her open for the followthrough, and she wound up eating the cross, but impressive all the same.

The blow landed flush and drove her back, making her lose ground and pushing her towards the couch on the far side of the room. The natural move would’ve been to fill that gap fast, keep hammering her away to keep her advantage, and in her older days, that was exactly what she would’ve done. But the AFW had given her a far wider range of tools to work with, and she wasn’t about to ignore them. Not with an opponent this versatile.

”She’ll be pissed when I wipe the floor with you, too.” Carmen started to sway left and right with a tight guard, making it hard for Suzuki to guess where the next attack would come from, bobbing and weaving to make a moving target. ”You like stealing her fights?”

As soon as she put the question mark on that sentence, Carmen lashed out again, jumping towards Suzuki with her fists raised. Instead of throwing a punch back, however, she lurched back at the last second, raised her foot, and shot it out with a Big Boot towards the older woman’s chest, looking to launch her over the couch and into the wall.

Suzuki Adachi vs. Carmen Rodriguez - Blood in the Water Empty Re: Suzuki Adachi vs. Carmen Rodriguez - Blood in the Water

Despite the pain that punch had caused, Suzuki was recovering pretty well and making good time, too. Carmen seemed to be making her next move, sadly the badass mother was getting pretty thrown off by those movements. Before that, though, she was caught off guard in an entirely different sense. "BWAAAHAHA!" Suzuki suddenly blurted out loud as she heard Carmen's response. This woman was definitely like her daughter, but it seemed to be the case that she hadn't known her long enough to know just how Mako would react IF her mom ended up getting her ass kicked while stealing a challenge meant for her.

Honestly, Mako would laugh. She would laugh forever. At first, she might just pass out from laughing so hard. Then, when she woke up...she'd just start laughing again. Mako would without a doubt be furious with her mom over this. But the moment she learned that the infamous Suzuki Adachi got beat trying to take on someone who was meant for her daughter...there'd never be an end to the jokes. Mako was afraid of her mother for the most part. She loved and respected the hell out of her mom...but she'd be an idiot to overlook just how incredibly dark her mom could become at any moment. In fact, back when she was growing up, Mako wasn't afraid of monsters in her closet or under her bed. She wasn't afraid because she knew that in any monster dared show up...then the real monster would tear them limb from limb. Hell, Mako thought that just by being the daughter of THAT monster would make her way scarier then any pitiful excuse for some creepy 'boogeyman' hiding under her bed.

So, having seen Suzuki in such a way for her entire life, hearing that she lost her very first fight involving Tension would turn their whole dynamic on its head. Suzuki still wasn't that worried, though. She didn't believe Carmen even had a chance yet.

"Oh honey, you should get to know her a little bit more...that kid...Heh...she'd never stop laughing.....which is why you can't win." she said, watching Carmen's swaying movements as she tried to read them. "But no, you're the first." Suzuki added, moments before Carmen made her move. Seeing the boxer's fists in the air, she made the beginner's mistake of assuming that it was a punch. Like a total dumbass, she raised her guard to shield her face. Suzuki would have punched herself in the face for being so stupid, that is, if it hadn't been for the boot colliding with her chest. The impact sent the older woman right over the couch before crashing back first into the wall. The back of her head smacked against it, causing Suzuki to become dazed once again. This time the tough bitch had a much harder time recovering from it, though, as she sat there on her ass.
