God, being short and small really sucked, sometimes. Even though she was far more well built than most women her size, it was still way too easy for a guy like Blue Thunder Mask to send her flying with the simplest of moves, and that was precisely what happened when he went flipping forward. Out she went, just like that, gravity and momentum completely against her.

She didn’t let it deter her, too eager to rush her way back into the ring. In hindsight, though, maybe she should’ve exercised a little hesitation. Then, she might’ve avoided the trap.

At first, everything looked good. While he was trying to get up, her work on the ankle was doing its job and making that hard to do. She doubted that it was broken or anything that a day with an ice pack couldn’t fix, but it would be a liability throughout the match. He would have to stay vertical if he wanted to deal with her, and him being slowed down would let her speed shine.

The only trouble was that, while he was vulnerable, it seemed like he wasn’t quite as vulnerable as she first thought. He had enough left in the tank to leap forward with his back to her, catch her head, and…

...she wasn’t sure what happened after that, actually, only that it involved getting her head slammed into something hard and unyielding. The blow, whatever it was, rocked her and left her flopping away, coming to a stop on her back, with one leg dangling on top of the bottom rope. She started up, straight up, and clutched her head as the worst headache made its way through her skull. ”You...fucking...cock…” She hissed through her clenched teeth.

Blue Thunder Mask vs. Makoto Takeda II - Beat It - Page 2 Empty Re: Blue Thunder Mask vs. Makoto Takeda II - Beat It

It had been a huge risk going for a cutter over something more simplistic. Any time you threw yourself into a move that limited the visibly of your opponent, it was a huge risk. That was why he did it, because it wasn't something he would normally do. So far playing things safe and standard had gotten him hammered.

As Blue Thunder Mask dragged Makoto to the canvas, aided by gravity and his weight, the crowd exploded at the sudden change in momentum. He had gotten her good, he felt her bounce off of his shoulder as the impact transfer directly from him into her without a hitch. As he let his hand loose, she flopped away from the sheer force to topple to the mat opposite him. If there was any doubt how hard he hit her, the reaction she gave spoke volumes.

Rolling onto his chest, he was quick to push himself up to one knee, planting his good foot firmly on the mat. Rather than simply standing, he opted to spring up, kicking off the ground with one leg to immediately come back down next to Makoto, arm hooked tightly to drive his elbow down into her chest. He was going to make use of everything he could to preserve his leg while still being offensive. There was no doubt he was going to need it when she finally got back up.

Had this been any other foe, he would have tried to follow things up with a headlock, but he knew better. Leaving one of the girl's arms unoccupied as he cranked her skull would just him drilled by a punch, he might as well give her a free target. He needed to be s.art about his submissions with her, she literally pulled no punches when attempting to escape. As it stood now, he would just try to land the elbow, and drape his weight over her body, enough to go for a pinfall. Obviously it would fail, but it bought him time and made her have to waste effort to deal with it.

Makoto was on the mat, kicking her legs, growling in rage and contempt, but her anger wasn’t solely directed at Blue Thunder Mask. No, the bulk of it was aimed at herself, not that she was about to let on about that in any real, meaningful way.

For the time being she just ran her nails along the canvas and tried to get her head together, figuring out where she’d gone wrong. She was in too much of a hurry to put him away, and for no real good reason. He was wounded, hurt bad, so it wasn’t like he was a major threat. Why was she in such a rush? Why leave herself open to dumb shit like that whatever-the-fuck he’d just hit her with?

She had little time to ponder the reasons why, because she knew Blue Thunder Mask wouldn’t be letting an opening this wide go without severe punishment. She needed to get back up, bring the fight back to him, and she had started to do that very thing when she opened her eyes wide and saw him coming down on her from above.

No time to dodge. No time to block.

He came down on her chest, driving the elbow in deep, and that was where he stayed as she jackknifed beneath him, shrieking with a mix of pain and fury. The referee dropped down, going for the pinfall right away.

”1…!”

She’d just raised her hand for another count when Makoto jerked and pushed Blue Thunder Mask off, muttering curses as she rolled over to her chest.

Shove back off of Makoto, he wobbled to his knees, nearly falling back. rather than fleeing him completely back out of the ring, she had opted to just turn herself over. While out of his immediate arm's reach, it did nothing to prevent him from pouncing on her as he already demonstrated her was capable of. Being this close to the ropes wasn't ideal, but he couldn't be picky at the moment. Any second he wasn't laying into her was a moment wasted. He lunged himself forward, trying to drop his weight down across her back squarely, it was doubtful to do much damage, it was only meant to keep her pinned to the canvas as he went to work.

he kicked his legs out, trying to capture one of her arms in a scissor hold to keep her from crawling, while his arms snapped out around her upper body. One hand slipped past her neck while the other tried to hook under her arm. the two would try to link up under her chin and wrench her backwards in a sharp tight motion. he would have preferred a full on choke, but he needed to keep her free arm up, locked between his arms to keep her from grabbing the ropes that were right there. His execution wasn't prize worthy, having more or less flopped onto her, but desperate times called for desperate measures.

He had wanted to say something to her, assert his dominant position with a few stinging words. He couldn't find the drive to jab at her verbally though. Even if he was building some solid momentum, the game was going to change the second they both stood up again. he needed to be working on her legs, or her body to wear out her breathing. Instead he was grasping at anything he could, trying to leave her in a position better suited to actually fighting her toe to toe. It was all going to go out the window the second weapons came out though. With any luck he could keep her from ever making good use of her chosen stipulation.

Time to regroup. Definitely. Makoto was on her chest, shaking her head, trying her best to plan out the next move. The thing she kept coming back to? Weapons. Should’ve started with them. Should’ve brought a chair or a bat into the ring and started with that. There was no way a boy scout like Makio would ever use something like that, even if it was perfectly legal. Just in his DNA. That’d be an edge she could use.

Just had to crawl out, roll off the apron and root around under the skirt a bit, then she could turn this whole thing around in a second.

The idea of beaning him with a blunt instrument made her giddy. So giddy, in fact, that she was taken off guard when Blue Thunder Mask trapped her arm and wrenched her neck back, putting her in one of her favorite submission moves: the Crossface Crippler. A full-bodied shriek came from her lips as she was pulled back, further and further, testing all of her tendons. She knew from experience how tight this move was, how much damage it could do, and she realized that, if she didn’t do something fast, the damage gap would be all but even.

No rope breaks to save her. No way to reverse this.

She had one option that she could think of, though. With her free hand, she reached up and pulled at the locked hands, tugging at them, trying to pull the hold up a little bit higher, work it up her chin. It was locked in too tight to be broken, but then, that wasn’t her objective.

As soon as she could get them close enough to her mouth, she open wide and chomp down on the first finger she could get her mouth around, giving him a vicious bite.

Blue Thunder Mask vs. Makoto Takeda II - Beat It - Page 2 Empty Re: Blue Thunder Mask vs. Makoto Takeda II - Beat It

Blue Thunder Mask rolled his weight away along her back, steadily stealing more and more of her spine's give. He had locked her in faster than she had time to really react, getting more out of the hold than he originally had. She had managed to awkwardly reach around to pry at his hands. For the most part they weren't budging, a little her and there, but the likelihood of her being able to separate his interlocked fingers or slip his hands up over all the various parts of her face he could easily catch hold of was unlikely. Was this already over? She didn't appear to have a real answer for him. Surely it couldn't be that simple.

He lightened up the hold ever so slightly, enough to shift on her back to yank back hard on her head. That small window had been all she needed for what she intended. He felt his fingers on something softer, slightly wet, the sensation hadn't even registered until the hair on the back of his neck shot up in alarm as blinding pain jumped through his fingers as she bit down hard on him. If she had ever wanted to hear him yell out in pain again, this had been the quickest possible way to manage it. He couldn't recall the last time someone had bit his hands... maybe when he was a young child? It wasn't really a memory he had been keen to remember. he had been more than happy to release her, trying to yank his fingers from between her teeth, giving her a hard forearm strike to the back of her dome to try and give him some added incentive to let go.

"Really?!" Of all the things he had figured she would try, it hadn't even crossed his mind she was going to try take a chunk out of him. Even with what was on the line, their animosity towards one another, and the stipulation in place, somehow this had come across as being incredibly poor form. He wasn't sure what he expected from her, but he knew he wanted to break off for now. Trying to shove at her back, he would attempt to rise up and back himself away, clutching the hand that she took a bite of in his other hand. Thankfully she hadn't broken the skin or a bone, but it wasn't from lack of trying.

To be honest, biting Blue Thunder Mask wasn’t exactly the high point of her life, either. If she could’ve seen any other way to get out of that, anything that would’ve been cleaner or at least involved putting some part of him inside her mouth, she would’ve happily gone for it. She didn’t. As near as she could tell, the only way out of it was to tap out, and that was simply unacceptable. No way was she giving up to him, and she damn sure wasn’t going to do it less than three minutes into the fight.

Bitch tactic or not, it worked and she got away with it, so what was the problem? Sure the crowd booed her and Blue Thunder Mask didn’t like it, but that was a given either way. It wasn’t like she was going to change any hearts and minds with this fight, so she was focused on the one thing that mattered: winning.

”Yeah, really. Asshole.” She rubbed her neck with one hand and used the other to pull herself up with the ropes support, getting as high as she could manage. She’d managed to get out of that crossface before he could seriously wreck her shit, but it had still taken a toll, one that she’d be feeling throughout the match.

But she was up on two feet now, and while she wasn’t in good shape to launch an attack, she was ready enough to restart things. ”What’re you even complaining about? It’s a goddamn hardcore match.”

Blue Thunder Mask shook out his hand as he backed to his feet. This had been a rather intense start to a match, he was thankful for the brief lull in the action. It seemed Makoto was as well, actually taking the time to talk to him again. He shifted his weight, testing his bad leg as subtle as he could manage. Still bad, but more manage now that he had given it some time. He wasn't going to be running around the ring anytime soon though, not for long at least.

While she had a point, he still for some reason thought she was a bit better than that. He certainly didn't know why. His opinion of her waxed and waned moment by moment it seemed. What was it Stone saw in her again? He really really wanted to know because where he stood he was having a hard time finding it.

“Right, how silly of me.” He snickered softly as he resisted the urge to roll his eyes, if only to not let her out of his sight. “Speaking of, what's with that anyway? To scared to face me head on? Your girls did. Not setting a very good example for them.” he slowly raised his arms looking ready to grapple. Of course he didn't expect her to lock up with him, she had a history of trying to lay into him rather than play to wrestling conventions. He’d be ready if she tried.

Blue Thunder Mask vs. Makoto Takeda II - Beat It - Page 2 Empty Re: Blue Thunder Mask vs. Makoto Takeda II - Beat It

Makoto gripped the ropes tight with the arm that Blue Thunder Mask had been squeezing, trying to get more feeling into it. A small break in the action, one they both needed, as much as she hated to admit it. She needed to rethink her strategy, retool, figure out a way to deal with his submissions. Without reliable ways to escape them in this match, they were going to be the WMD, here.

More than anything, she needed to figure out a way to get this match outside of the ring. She had a few ideas on that, too, but first she needed to address the bullshit coming out of Blue Thunder Mask’s mouth.

”Really?” She spat to side and gave her neck a crack, smirking as she looked his way. ”Did they? Did they?” She strongly suspected that the little bout with Devine hadn’t gone the way as advertised. She knew damn well what a person smelled like after having sex with her fellow Valkyrie, and while she wouldn’t press the matter, she had her suspicions.

”But that’s the way you want to go, huh?” She squeezed her gloves tight, tensed up, grit her teeth. ”Fine. I’ll play.”

With a quick skip to build up extra momentum, Makoto ran straight towards Blue Thunder Mask and did the one thing he wouldn’t have expected: taking his lockup head-on. It seemed like a bad idea on the outset: he was taller, packed with muscle, tough. But she was no weakling, either, and while she was sure there was a gap between them, it was probably smaller than he thought.

For now, all she wanted to do was drive him to the edge of the ring, get as much distance as she could and keep him there for a moment.

He didn't appreciate her tone, while he hadn't dispatched Devine the way he was suppose to, that didn't change the fact the two of them had faced off and she surrendered. Despite not liking there had been a compromise on the outcome, he preferred to to the other possible end. As far as he was concerned, she had made to forfeit which was a victory whether Makoto liked it or not.

He hadn't been sure if Stone had picked a standard match to have a fair bout against him, but she certainly didn't lay down and let him win. She had been an impressive force, one that seemed as though it hadn't been tested against a proper for in quite some time. In the end he had managed to work around her strength and capitalize on one miscalculation. He was pretty sure if he hadn’t put her down when he did, they would still be fighting.

The more he thought about it, the more he felt offended on behalf of the other women more so than himself. He couldn't deny part of him wanted to use this, plant further seeds of doubt in the leaders mind to get in her head. It could be so effective if he played his cards right, especially if he admitted to Stone’s involvement before hand.

He wouldn't do it though. He couldn't imagine throwing Stone under the bus like that. While he didn't truly know her, she had come to him in an act of good faith. It wasn't her fault things spiraled out of control. Makoto might suspect, she might dig, but he would never justify her suspicions about either Stone or Devine so long as the other women aimed to keep it secret.

“Finally.” He cracked a smirk, ready to intercept as she came at him. With her momentum and low center of gravity, she managed to throw him back as they locked up. He awkwardly fumbled as his attempt to brace himself faltered at first due to his injured leg. Once he found his footing however he was able to lower his frame and push back to deadlock them. His weight on his bad leg was incredibly painful as she shoved at him, threatening to give in at any moment.

She was giving as good as she got in terms of push back, perhaps more. He threw his shoulder forward, trying to hook his arm around the back of her neck. Letting his bad leg slip away, he spun trying to drive his hip into her body. Using that as a pivot point he pulled, trying to whip Makoto over him to the mat with a headlock takedown which, if performed, would remained lock to crank at her head.
