"Weighing in at a combined weight of One Hundred and Sixty Nine Kilograms, from the USA: Adrian Kytes and Rebecca Tomko, The Outsiders!" The announcer yelled into her microphone while two of the veterans of AFW made their way down to the ring as their music played through the arena. It had been a long time since the two had formerly teamed together and the two had their work cut out for them tonight. Their opponents had been on a tear so far: Volkov remaining undefeated and with a reputation for destroying anyone and everyone in her path, but the two American's were fairly confident as they stepped up to the ring, crowd cheering for them. Rebecca had made a full recovery since Cecilia had dunked the giantess on her head during her world title opportunity and Adrian was back in to the swing of things despite missing Summer Splash. "You got this, we got this." Adrian said, jumping onto the second rope so she could massage the ebony amazon's shoulders as they waited for their opponents.

It was hard to believe that, despite working with each other often, in various morally questionable ways, Zarya and Isa had yet to officially compete in a tag match since joining the promotion. At last, the time had come to change *that* little oversight.

"And their opponents! At a combined weight of One Hundred and Fifty Eight Kilograms, hailing from Onomichi, Japan and Saint Petersburg, Russian... Isa Kubota and Zarya Volkov, The Rival Powers!"

Isa Kubota emerged first, her ring robe reminiscent of a traditional kimono, pure white and covered with sakura blossoms, open in the front to reveal the blue and white leotard she wore underneath. She moved with confident grace, her jade eyes cold and imperious. Zarya Volkov, the Iron Soldier, wore no such additional decoration, clad on her usual red two piece wrestling attire, proudly showing off her muscular, battle scarred figure. Her gaze never left Rebecca, sizing up the ebony giantess with what could only be described as eager anticipation. They both entered the ring, one after the other, taking their places opposite of the Outsiders. Isa slipping out of her kimono as they waited for the official start of the match.

As the two teams stood in the middle of the ring, Rebecca saw the glimpses and the smirk on the Russian woman's face. She'd seen that look towards her whenever another heavyweight caught a glimpse of the ebony giantess and always got the urge to see just how they measured up against her and a desire to prove that they were the stronger woman. "Hey Addy, wanna let me start? I think Zangief over there doesn't want to wait to get her ass kicked." she said to her scowling partner. Adrian wasn't about to back off completely with both of her opponents still in the ring, but as Rebecca took a step forward, she hung back. Waiting to see what Isa would do in response.

To say Zarya was anxious to start the match was perhaps am understatement. She looked about as eager as a shark that'd just caught the scent of blood in the water. Her tag team partner, however, made no move to actually leave the ring. She even shot her partner an annoyed look. Where the Russian was practically jumping out of her skin, ready for a fight, Isa was cold as a sheet of ice.

"We discussed this already..." Isa Kubota stepped forward, looking up to meet Rebecca's stare, arms crossed beneath her breasts. "I'm starting. Either against you...or that little girl hiding behind you."

The Iron Soldier grumbled something under her breath, but ultimately left the ring to stand on the ring apron.

The crowd broke out into jeers as Zarya made her way back to her corner, whatever the audience may have thought about the brutal Russian (perhaps even because of what they thought of her) the paying customers wanted to see the two big women go at it and were not happy about the initial confrontation being denied from them and neither was the opposing Amazon. Rebecca raised her arms up in frustration as Isa demanded to start the match. "Man..." she groaned before turning around to Adrian. "Looks like you're up first." the Ebony Amazon sighed before heading to her corner leaving Adrian to face off against the Japanese woman.

Although she didn't want to be the one to ruin Rebecca's fun in the first place, Adrian was glad that the Modern Day Warrior's insistance had got Rebecca to sit out the early goings too, if Zarya was going to be fresh when one of the outsiders were tired dealing with Isa then it was better for the American team to keep their heavy hitter in reserve as well to prevent her from stomping through a tired giantess and the much smaller Adrian. This way the crowd would probably get to see Zarya and Rebecca square off against each other while Adrian and Isa started off. Everybody wins! Except those guys, they're gonna lose.

With just the two smaller wrestlers in the ring, the bell was rung and the match was underway. Adrian opting for a traditional start as she attempted to get Isa in a collar and elbow tie-up, attempting to push her into one of the neutral corners.

It was entirely possible that part of Isa's motivation was to deflate the crowd, letting Rebecca and Zarya get just close enough that imaginations ran wild with the very thought of what their in-ring clash would be like, only to have Kubota nonchalantly step on the encounter. The Iron Soldier, now standing on the apron, turned her attention to Adrian, just waiting for any opportunity to deal damage if the girl ever found herself in the no man's land that was the Rival Powers corner. If she couldn't dug her meat hooks into the ebony amazon just yet, she'd content herself with the smaller of the Outsiders.

The bell rang and the two women in the ring locked horns, Isa welcoming the traditional collar and elbow tie up. Adrian managed to push her back a few steps before Isa retaliated, muscles straining as she pushed forward, occasionally jerking left or right in an attempt to throw Adrian off balance, as intense as a pit bull worrying a bone.

After a few moments if struggle, Isa attempted to break the tie up, looking to spin around behind Adrian while keeping hold of her left arm and wrenching it behind her back, transitioning into an old school hammerlock.

All it took was a slight stumble on Adrian's part as Isa twisted and pulled her way through the former cosplayer's lock up to slip behind and twist the brunette's arm behind her back. Wincing as she felt the pains in her shoulder, Adrian quickly moved on to escaping from the Japanese woman's hammer lock in a slightly unconventional way. With her free arm she pulled one of her legs back as though it was a warm up stretch and let it come down over the tangle of limbs that was Isa's hammerlock, allowing the natural momentum and greater strength in her leg to snap the hold and give Adrian time to reply in kind. Turning, grabbing and twisting Isa's arm into a quick wristlock.

Where the Russian would have charged in, Isa Kubota was more methodical, preferring to feel her opponents out and ratcheting up the tempo from there. She had thought she'd gotten the better of Adrian early, and was about to mock her before Kyte's actually managed a reversal to the hammer lock that she'd rarely seen and never actually dealt with in the ring. The crowd cheered as Adrian not only escaped the hold, but managed to grab Isa with a wrist lock before the woman could react.

She hissed through her teeth, giving a sharp intake of breath from the pain of the wrist lock, going up on her tip-toes in a vain attempt to relieve some of the pressure. Her green eyes flashed with annoyance. So, Miss Kyte's wanted to play the proverbial game of human chess with her? That suited Isa just fine.

She attempted a short roll to the side to untwist her arm before getting to her feet, looking to grab Adrian's arm and catch her in a wrist lock of her own, all the while managing to look 'entirely' too pleased with herself for the feat.

Adrian smirked as Isa hissed in response to the former cosplayer's actions. It wasn't often she got to bust out 60s British grappling techniques and judging by how the Japanese wrestler had been caught off guard with the hammerlock counter, there was evidently still room in wrestling for obscure escape strategies from decades past. The Raven haired woman was not about to take these twists lying down however and quickly rolled through Adrian's wristlock and spun into one of her own. "Okay... you got me there." Adrian hissed through a wincing smirk as she felt the pain in her arm build up.

A quick glance around told the brunette that she was close enough to the ropes that with a quick pull of her free arm, she could get in range to force a break but it would be at the expense of putting herself in a more awkward position not to mention that Isa technically didn't have to let go until the last second and could put all the force she wanted to into making the last four seconds of her hold count. She needed a better idea.

Opting for something similar to the Japanese woman's strategy, Adrian rolled onto her back to untwist her arm and pull Isa down slightly before rolling back onto her shoulders, kicking her legs up in an attempt to catch her opponent's head between her ankles and use that to whip her down to the canvas while the former cosplayer kipped up.

"Yes, I did get you there." Isa answered with the tone of a superior graciously accepting a compliment. She might have said more, perhaps issue a more direct insult, when her tag-team partner Zarya called out from behind.

"Stop playing around and punch her in the face! What are you two doing?"

"Its called 'putting on a clinic'...." Isa's said through her teeth, a combination of anger and her effort to maintain the pressure on Adrians arm adding some tension to her voice.

"A wrist-lock clinic..."

Kubota wanted oh-so-dearly to turn to her 'friend' and explain to the glorified thug that she just didn't appreciate proper technique, or any technique at all for that matter. Unfortunately, Adrian was already attempting to reverse the situation. Isa expected, and tensed herself for, the same reversal she'd employed before. Instead, Kytes legs shot up, caught Isa's head between her ankles, and spun her down to the mat!

Isa winced as she landed on hip, going with the moment to roll herself into a crouch as Adrian kipped up. She slapped the mat once in frustration and anger, looking for a moment like a spoiled child who'd unexpectedly lost a game. She rose cautiously, arms raised to defend herself. "Hmph... so you're not completely lacking in skill..." She stepped forward, offering another lock up...

... but if Adrian took her up on it, Isa Kubota would swing her right leg up as soon as her opponent was in range, looking to nail her in the belly with a kick, and then quickly follow up by grabbing Adrian's head and pulling her into a front-headlock!
