Kyo Akamatsu vs. Testament - Judgment Day - Page 2 Empty Re: Kyo Akamatsu vs. Testament - Judgment Day

The crowd, which was already behind Kyo from the start, was getting more into things now that he was starting to gain some momentum. As big as Testament was, she was still human - presumably - and that meant that she could be stunned. She could be hurt. She could be beaten.

As if to prove it, Kyo moved in and sent her off running with the Irish Whip, her long, platinum hair streaming behind her as she ran. For someone her size, she could move with remarkable quickness, and that was exactly what worked against her when Kyo reached out, grabbed her, and sent the behemoth up and over with a judo toss

Momentum and gravity combined for a rattling crash as Testament’s body hit the canvas, making a noise that was only eclipsed by the roar of the crowd. She immediately sat up after the impact, with her hair shadowing her sullen face, but that was all she did for the moment. An opening had been made.

Kyo's heart pumped rapidly in his chest as he began to feel a newfound confidence. This match was barely minutes old, and already, he was taking control decisively, throwing Testament around and executing well-timed attacks on her despite her superior size and strength. This might be a quicker match than he had been expecting.

Seeing Testament's back presented to him as she sat up dizzily, Kyo didn't waste an opportunity. He immediately came running up behind her, not yet content to try to wear her down with a hold-- instead aiming to keep hammering her for now, this time with a drop kick into her exposed back!

The audience was feeling Kyo, too, rallying behind their Samurai as he continued to build up steam. Testament had seemed quite imposing at first, but it was amazing how quickly that shine was wearing off. Kyo had brought her down. If he had brought her down, he could keep her down. Maybe for three seconds.

He was on his way to getting it done, too, as he came barreling across the ring and launched himself into her back like cannonfire. His aim was dead-on, striking her back right between the shoulder blades.

She rocked forward. She winced. Her teeth clenched hard as a snarl came across her lips.

But she didn't go down. Not quite yet. She sat there, hurting and lurching forward.

The crowd was jubilant as Kyo continued to hammer Testament. Just as they were feeling him, the feeling was mutual for Kyo: the knowledge that the crowd was with him energized him, made him feel alive and confident. With them on his side, he felt that he could topple this giant. Although, given the way she was still sitting upright, it was clear that Testament was going to be very difficult to topple.

Kneeling behind Testament...and keeping wary of where her elbows would go if she started lashing out with them again...Kyo grabbed at Testament's head to pull her up out of her slouch, before sliding his arms around the big girl's throat and forehead, locking in a rear naked choke. It was a bit early to be thinking about a KO at this stage, he knew, but if it slowed Testament down, all the better.

"If you say you know exactly who I am," he whispered through clenched teeth as he started to squeeze Testament, "then you should have come better prepared to face me."

As enthused as the audience was, a few nearer to the ring had some reason for concern as Testament lurched there. Sure, she was open, and Kyo was controlling the match, but underneath the mess of silver hair, a curl in her lips could be seen. Something resembling a smile…

The referee could see it, too, but her focus turned to Kyo’s hold as he locked it in. Her training took precedence and she dropped to her knees, monitoring the platinum titan as he secured crank the hold and cut off her air flow. ”Testament, do you-”

The question was only halfway asked before Testament began to surge upwards, getting her feet beneath her and starting a slow but steady rise, getting to her feet and pulling Kyo along with her. If she heard what he said, she seemed more intent on giving him a response with her actions, rather than words.

Locking in the rear naked choke, Kyo got a good feel for the tightly bundled muscle in Testament's neck and shoulders, even as he squeezed tightly around her throat. It was a solid hold, and one that should have been cutting off the large woman's air supply.

And that was why Kyo was all the more surprised when Testament simply stood up.

It wasn't the slow push upright of someone trying to defy their own exhaustion or lingering hurt. Testament simply began to stand, surging to her feet with raw, nonchalant power. Kyo's eyes widened as the female titan rose. Had his previous attacks actually done anything to her?

As Testament rose to her full height, the choke hold began to loosen. Cursing, Kyo released duty and backed away from Testament, watching her rise upright with wary bewilderment.

The audience shared in Kyo’s disbelief, as Testament rose up before them. While it was hardly the first time they had seen someone escape from a rear naked choke, doing it like this - from a woman, no less - was a rarely seen thing. The rarity wasn't lost on them.

The referee backed away as she stood, wisely giving them space, and she automatically used it. Testament had only be free for as long as it took her to get a fresh breath, and then she was right on the attack. Still mad. Still raging.

Testament spun around with her arm held out, coming right for Kyo’s face with a wide, powerful backhand, throwing her full weight behind the massive move.

Kyo wasn't given that much time after letting go before Testament surged into the attack again. He had barely taken a step away from her before she spun, lashing out with an arm in a heavy backhand.

The move almost caught Kyo by surprise. Almost. Instincts kicked in, and he brought an arm up to block the blow. The blow still sent a heavy shock of impact running up his arm, and sent him stumbling back a few steps. That could have been worse, but given the power behind that blow, he wouldn't be surprised if there was a nice bruise on his forearm now...

Hitting Kyo seemed to make Testament angrier. Him blocking the blow seemed to make Testament angrier. Him stepping away from her seemed to make Testament angrier.

Everything about this seemed to be filling her with more and more rage by the second, and she did precious little to hide that fact. As Kyo stumbled away from, her lips turned into a deep snarl with a guttural growl coming from deep within her throat. Whatever the elder Akamatsu did to tick her off, it wasn’t something she would easily forgive. She was after his head, and now she had some space to work with.

She closed in with a wide step, moving faster than her size would’ve hinted at, and did a short hop into the air. She cycled her legs as she flew, and ended the short arc by shooting her leg towards his face, coming at him with a fierce bicycle kick - her signature move, Lightning, designed to punish quicker foes and bring them to heel.

Kyo was on the defensive now. His efforts to keep Testament down hadn't just failed, they had proven to be completely ineffective. And now Testament was on her feet again, and this time she was visibly angry. No, he mentally added, not angry, furious. Which wasn't at all that bad: if Testament was angry, then she was going to make mistakes.

That was what he thought, at least, as Testament exploded into movement. Blinking in alarm, he barely registered her charging at him, her legs flashing out in a bicycle kick. He barely managed to bring an arm up in time, catching her hammering boot on his wrist, but the sheer force of the blow was enough to knock him off his feet. He slammed down onto his back, wincing a little, before trying to roll away from Testament and back to his feet...
