If Kyo got the impression that he was being taunted, it was all well and good. Yes, Testament was talking or smiling - if she was even physically capable of the latter - but treating her opponent like an afterthought couldn’t be described as anything else. What greater insult could you give a foe than outright ignoring him?

Testament would only do that for so long, however. She turned and stayed still for a moment, looking down on him with folded arms, but that changed when began to rise. As he reached the halfway point, she took a step forward, raised her foot and gave him a dismissive shove in the face with the bottom of her boot. Not enough to hurt, not really. Just enough to put him back on the floor.

And, for only the second time in the match, she spoke. ”Stay down.”

As Kyo rose, Testament came stomping towards him, with an almost casual inevitability to her gait. As he pushed himself up to his knees, she pushed at him with her boot. It wasn't a kick, even: just a rough shove.

That was a mistake Kyo wasn't going to let slide: grabbing onto Testament's ankle, he twisted, trying to unbalance the giantess and send her toppling onto her front. If he somehow managed Thad, then he would try to roll behind her, using his grip to twist at her ankle and scissor his legs around her trapped limb as he tried to go for a leg bar.

Whatever Testament’s reasoning for kicking Kyo in the face - mind games, a taunt, just wanting to be as disrespectful as possible to a pillar of Tension - it immediately backfired. She’d underestimated him, and he wasn’t the type to let such an affront go unpunished.

Her eyes widened and she made her loudest noise of the entire match, squawking as Kyo brought her down to the mat. His hold went locked in and the pain immediately shot through her leg, a searing pain that had her scrambling at the mat. She tried to reach down and push him away, attempted to pull herself free for only a moment, then gave up and started a mad crawl towards the ropes, desperate to escape.

This time around, Testament's overconfidence got the better of her, and Kyo wasted no time in capitalizing on it. Trapping her leg, he locked his ankles, trying to pour pressure on her knee, while at the same time twisting on her boot, trying to bend it in the wrong direction. He had no idea how badly he was hurting Testament-- the big girl didn't make a sound in the hold-- but the fact that she was furiously trying to dislodge him, unsuccessfully, spoke volumes.

That was, until Testament suddenly surged forward, effortlessly pulling Kyo with her. His eyes widened as he was dragged along the mat, before the ref tapped his shoulder, telling him to let go. Taking a deep breath, he released Testament, and upon standing, found himself with a difficult choice-- attack her leg further, or try to stun her?

He opted for the former-- he could take no chances with a foe as dangerous as Testament. He quickly stomped down on the back of her leg, hammering the back of her knee as he circled her, making some space away from her as the ref girl warned him to back off...

How Testament kept from screaming was anybody’s guess, and a question that was making the rounds through the crowd. Some thought something was wrong with her, others figured she was just an insanely tough women, others thought it was pure stubbornness. Whatever the cause, it was widely agreed that it wasn’t normal, and just another eerie thing on a pile of increasingly eerie things. The woman was just not right.

Whatever the reason, it worked for her, as she found the fortitude to make her way to the ropes and salvation - albeit temporarily.

She had only begun to rise when a stomp ceased that effort, hammering into the back of knee. That made Testament cry out, though it was closer to the sound of a wounded animal than anything that should’ve come from a human’s lips.

She started to make her way back up as the referee ushered Kyo away, glaring at him the whole time with far more fire and venom than before.

For the first time in this match, Testament let out a cry of pain as Kyo stomped on her leg. So you can be hurt, he thought to himself as he watched the silver-haired giantess get back up. His feeling of victory, however, was fleeting: the withering look that Testament gave him told him that her hatred for him ran even deeper now, and that she was going to make sure to repay that hurt a hundredfold. He would have to end this match soon, he knew, before she got that chance.

As Testament rose to her feet, Kyo suddenly exploded into action, faking a knee left as he charged at Testament. At the last minute he spun around, his back slamming against Testament as he tried to drive his elbow hard into her face. If the blow connected, then he would waste no time tucking her silver-haired head under his armpit, before breaking into a run and-- unless Testament countered him somehow-- hopefully bulldogging her face hard into the mat!

Kyo had seen her hurt, had managed to gain some temporary advantage over her, but it didn’t seem like Testament saw that as a big deal. There was still no hesitation on her face as he moved towards her, no sign that her methods were changing. She wanted Kyo flat on the mat, hurting, and beaten.  Maybe that wouldn’t be as easy  as she would’ve liked it, but it would happen.

First, though, she needed to find a way to look down her opponent, and he was beginning to build momentum once more.

Before she could cut him off, Kyo moved in and lashed out with a brutal knee, one that knocked Testament back, before an elbow rocked her in the skull - two consecutive headshots, very effective. She shook her head, clearly needing some space, but her opponent wasn’t cooperating. The next thing she knew, he scooped her head up and began to rush forward.

Knowing his intentions, Testament waited until he leaped up and made her move, pushing Kyo’s back while she yanked her head away, hoping to free herself and send him flying forward at the same time.

After tucking Testament's head under his armpit, Kyo held his breath, dug his heels into the mat and charged forward. He knew that he had his larger opponent reeling, and now was the time to strike hard and fast, to deny her a chance to use her impressive size and strength against him.

Just as he charged forwards, however, Testament gave him a simple push-- a simple, forceful push delivered with strength that only a silver-haired titaness could muster-- and suddenly Kyo's grip came loose. Unbalanced at first, Kyo stumbled, his own momentum carrying him across the ring. Spinning around, he bounced off the ropes, instinctively raising his arm for a clothesline on the return...

There was rage on Testament’s face, but a hint of desperation, too. Maybe she was just now realizing what she was up against, and how foolish she’d been for not taking him seriously. Perhaps she was rethinking her strategy, accepting that he could very well beat her and ruin whatever point she was hoping to make with her debut.

Whatever the case, she was taking him seriously now. Very, deadly serious.

She pushed him off, he rebounded and came back her way, and there was little let up in between. As he came back to her, she ran towards him, ducked down, and threw her full weight into a massive spear, looking to bring him down to the canvas in one of the most painful, abrupt ways imaginable.

Testament reacted quickly, far more quickly than Kyo would have expected from someone of her size. Just as he raised his arm for the clothesline, she dropped down, throwing her entire weight into a spear aimed directly at his chest.

"UUUUUGH!" The impact was tremendous: his was instantly bowling him off his feet, and he could have swore her heard, rather than felt, his ribs creaking slightly as Testament's shoulder colleded with them. He ended up flopping onto his back, staring up at the lights, breathing shallowly, his legs trying and failing to push him back upright.

The crowd howled. Most winced. Even from the stands, watching someone of Testament's size simply cannon into Kyo like that had looked painful.
