Asuka Kazama vs Gemma Styx - double debut 2/3 falls match

The winner of this match will be decided once a wrestler has succeeded in scoring two falls. One fall can be won by either forcing the opponent to submit in a hold or pinning their shoulders to the mat for a free count.


Gemma had been excited for her first match up as soon as she had found out about it, due to multiple reasons. The inventor of the wacky show style that now spanned through a few close wrestlers was excited to finally showcase her style on the big stage, since she was a kid she had been brought down by others for compromising a traditional fighting style in order to come up with something that was in her eyes much more meaningful and useful than the bland martial arts she had been taught and excelled at. Originally she thought that would stop upon entering the world of pro wrestling, but amazingly even in such an open and varied sport there were still many who condemned her more fun, dramatic and artistic approach, of course Gemma made it her mission to correct this view and for the most part she succeeded minus the stubborn few who were dead set on their opinions like Gemma herself was. Now was her chance to make the biggest change possible though, Gemma and the show troupe had came to the AFW specifically to show the world what they could do and to chase out the dull and non personalised style of wrestling that had became popular in the AFW and around the world.

However while she did have a noble goal that she held dear and that let her raise her head high, admittedly Gemma was just bursting with enthusiasm to appear before such a huge crowd and to have fun. The former martial artists was practically bouncing around the guerrilla area backstage as she waited for her theme to start playing, the excited wrestler's huge grin and sparkling eyes making her appear as if she were a child in a candy shop rather than the steadfast idealist that she liked to imagine herself to be.

Luckily the dramatic one didn't have to wait long before her theme " Beat it " by Michael Jackson blared through-out the arena, meanwhile the lights would dim to a point where hardly anything would be visible, other than a few purple and blue flood lights shining downwards from above the ramp, filling up a vacant spot for a minute before the inventive Gemma burst through the curtains and revealed herself to the crowd. The showy wrestler would be wearing a sleeveless and stomach less top that branched off at the back into black and grey ribbons similar to outfits some Japanese wrestlers would wear, although the middle of the shirt would break that typical image as there were three golden ovals which would reflect the light being shone down on her. Meanwhile she would be wearing somewhat short trunks that were checkered, but had a long trail of golden kite shapes bordering the top of her trunks from one side to the other.

Attire:

That wasn't all though, of course Gemma would never enter the arena without her lucky hat, it was small and checkered similarly to the way the woman's trunks were, but would have a ribbon shape formed in the middle by a golden kite with two shiny black triangles also popping out from the surface of the hat. The small size of the hat however misrepresented the simple but important item, nothing was of more significance to eccentric wrestler as that pretty little hat was. All in all Gemma's outfit featuring mostly gold, grey and white was stylish, perhaps too stylish and a slight bit impractical, but nothing that Gemma couldn't work with in the ring, minus the hat.

The dramatic one would practically dance downwards to the ring, it was unorganised but enthusiastic enough that it would almost appear like some spectacle rather than just excitement drunk stumbling of an idiot. Gemma would carry herself to the ring in this manner, waving to the fans, swaying and whipping her body to the groove of her favourite Michael Jackson song before she finally reached the ring, which the realisation of seemed to knock her out of her trance for just a moment. Soon enough the former martial artist would run towards the ring before sliding under the bottom rope, her momentum boosted slide carrying her almost half way into the ring before she smoothly transitioned back onto her feet by pushing off the mat and landing on one foot before the other.

Gemma would then finally somewhat contain herself now that her big enterence was almost over, trying her best to resist the urge to dance and rock her body more as she walked to her corner, before sitting her pretty little hat on the top turnbuckle. The dramatic one would then look towards the ramp as her music cut out, still rocking her head to the beat of the song as she continued playing it out in her head. The eccentric wrestler was excited to see what her opponent was like, there were so many possibilities on what her first foe could turn out like, would it be another one of the boring herd that she was here to convert, or was it a fun loving, life living and gun blazing energetic gal like herself. Regardless she would wait impatiently with a concentrated gaze and genuine smile.

The sound of her opponent's entrance music reverberated through the walls of the arena as Asuka weaved back and forth, shadow boxing in anticipation for her first match. The eighteen year old girl from Osaka's heart pounded. It had been forever since she'd been in a real fight. Sure, there were the back alley beat downs after school on a daily basis but dispatching a few delinquents wasn't the kind of fight Asuka longed for. No, the kind of fight Asuka yearned and searched for was the fight that pushes a martial artist to their limits and forces them to utilize every technique in their arsenal to win.

Asuka hoped to find an opponent who rivaled her skill tonight but if her adversary fell short of her expectations and was no better than a common thug, Asuka would still be able to salvage the situation. The cocky high school girl had a noble calling. Perhaps calling isn't the right word seeing as how no one actually asked her to partake on this crusade. Nonetheless, Asuka's virtuous life goal was to see peace established between all she met. Of course, Asuka didn't wish for world peace, what kind of idiot would want to live in a world with nothing to fight for? Instead Asuka desired to live in a corrupt world where she could freely exact her personal justice on those she deemed deserving of it. The only way anyone would accept her as a peacemaker was if she proved she was the strongest, and if she had to beat someone down in the ring to prove it then so be it. Asuka was a strong believer in the theory that "those who win are right" and in accordance to that philosophy, she could not afford to lose.

The Michael Jackson song that had been thumping through the arena finally ended signaling Asuka's turn to make her debut entrance. The Osakan high schooler stood in the dark entrance bouncing energetically on her toes. At last the wait was over. Mexican trumpets blared over the loud speakers like those heard in an American Old West film when the hero appeared on screen, ready to deliver his own brand of cowboy justice. Blue and white light streamed down on Asuka and she strode forward, stopping to point toward the ring with a devilish smirk painted on her face. She would sprint down the ramp waving to the throng of roaring fans. She wore a blue jumpsuit which she left unzipped exposing her taut midriff. The upper half of her rolled down onesie fluttered as she ran toward the ring. Her blue bikini top struggled to contain Asuka's sizable assets which swayed and bounced with each quick step she took.

Attire:

Asuka would leap up onto the mat and through her legs over the top road in one quick motion. She would climb a turn buckel and point to different sections of the audience. Once she was satisfied, Asuka would go to her corner, leaning against the turnbuckle. Her and hitting her fists together as she glared, at the woman in the opposite corner.
After looking the dark haired woman up and down from her dumb hat to her gaudy shorts. Asuka surmised that this match would probably not lead to her dream fight. The Osakan girl would play with her short brown hair that always seemed to swoop to the right as she lazily awaited the ringing of the bell.

Gemma would watch as her opponent ran towards the ring, with an excitable smile as she seemed somewhat captivated by her opponent's quick journey to the ring. Of course the former martial artist was at least not so shameful that she wouldn't hide her smile as soon as Asuka entered the ring, her expression changing to something that wasn't quite professional but was a far shout from her usual excitement ridden face.

Gemma somewhat expected Asuka to approach her or at least speak out before the match began, but by the looks of things the showy wrestler's opponent didn't seem too interested in interacting before the action began. The only real interaction that the two wrestlers had would be Asuka glaring at the eccentric one and Gemma in turn sending back a increasingly disinterested gaze as she seemed to lose a bit of interest.

Gemma could tell as soon as she saw the look in her opponent's eyes and the way she conducted herself while waiting for the match that it was probably the kind of fighter she hated most, Asuka carrying the same competitive look in her eyes that Gemma had recognised back when she was deeply involved with mixed martial arts. The fun loving wrestler would stretch her arms until she heard the bell ring to start the match, signifying the start of the match up.

If Asuka didn't head out of the corner guns blaring as soon as the bell rang then Gemma would approach the middle of the ring and hold her arms out for a lock up, signalling for her more intimidating seeming opponent to lock arms with her in the middle of the ring. If Asuka did go for the lock up though then she would likely be surprised by Gemma's approach, as right when her foe was about to link hands with her Gemma would attempt to grasp her opponent by the waist and try to spin her around so that she was facing away from the American wrestler.

Gemma would then quickly attempt to follow up by walling side wards towards the mat and placing one of her arms between her opponent's legs and the other against her lower back, trying to pull her opponent down with her and pin the brawlers shoulders against the mat in a surprise roll up pin to start the match. The eccentric one didn't expect to get a pin from the move, but she figured it would be a good way to stick out to the crowd right from the get go and hoped it would at least be effective in disorientating her opponent for a moment.

The Osakan girl was stretching her long sturdy legs when the bell finally rang. Asuka assumed a fighting stance, her arms out in front and her hands open, ready to grab her opponent or catch oncoming attacks. She moved toward her opponent planning where to land her strikes first. To her surprise, the Scrawny woman (at least compared to herself) was apparently offering a lock up. "Oi! Miss, you sure you wanna do that?" Asuka would ask, raising and eyebrow and grinning, amused with her opponent's apparent self confidence.

She would give a mocking sigh before shrugging and saying, "have it your way." before taking her opponent's hands. With a sly grin she would push against her opponent with her greater strength. She scoffed at what a fool her opponent must be to think she could possibly win a test of strength against her. But the moment the stout Osakan high schooler began to push, her opponent let go. Asuka stumbled forward before she was spun around and felt something between her legs and another something pressing against her back. "O-Oi!" she exclaimed before being rolled on her back.

"tch!" Asuka spat as her legs were folded and her opponent lay attop them forcing the Osakan girl's shoulders against the mat.

"ONE!"

The referee began the count. Gritting her teeth, Asuka would use her leg strength to force her opponent off before the second count. She would scramble to her feet, glaring angrily at her crafty opponent. "What the hell?!" she would growl in frustration. Of course she knew it was a smart idea on her opponent's part to utilize her speed but Asuka refused to acknowledge it.

Picking herself up, the Osakan ally of justice would charge her opponent and attempt a powerful round house kick. She was embarrassed that she'd been pinned in the opening seconds of the match and needed to erase that from the minds of all those who were in attendance.

Asuka was stronger than Gemma, but luckily that fact didn't seem to make the brawler suspicious about the eccentric one's proposed lock up. As the Japanese native pushed forward Gemma would feel the woman's immense strength for only a moment, and was certainly glad that she hadn't went into the lock up with the intentions of trying to out push the other wrestler. 

As intimidating as the other wrestler's strength was Gemma swiftly took control of the lock up, although admittedly she did so in a slightly odd way as she spun the opponent before pulling her into a roll up. the ref would seem just as surprised as Asuka and start the count a tiny bit late, but it wouldn't matter much since Asuka managed to kick out just after the first count. As soon as the showy wrestler's pin was broken she would quickly roll to the side and get up to her feet.

Gemma couldn't help but smile as she saw her opponent's deadly glare and heard her anger through the Japanese woman's words. " Exactly ref, was totally a 3 count " The American would joke, turning her eyes towards the ref until she saw something coming from at her from the corner of her eye.

As the inventor of show style's eyes shot back round towards where they probably should have been in the first place Asuka would be approaching rapidly, a fact which would succeed in removing the stupid grin from the slightly foolish wrestler. Gemma was more than a little surprised to see how quick her opponent was, the black haired wrestler would attempt to block her opponent's roundhouse kick but had been far too late in preparing herself to take it soundly.

"Geh!" Gemma would cry out, managing to bring one of her arms high enough to the side of her head to somewhat protect her head from the kick. However she wouldn't be fortunate enough to escape unscathed, as the roundhouse kick managed to break through her desperate block and bounce against the showy wrestler's skull, which even when hindered by a block was still painful as all hell. Gemma would be sent crashing into mat side as her opponent's fierce kick completely unbalanced and forced down the former martial artist. The stylish woman's side and hip crashing into the mat due to the momentum behind her opponents deadly kick.

" Oww...I didn't think you'd be so fast, that's unfair give me back my speed advantage " Gemma would somewhat mumble out while holding her aching head, somewhat trying to make light of her silly moment although it was pretty obvious she had been majorly phased by that last attack. The showy wrestler could take hits, but it would take a much tougher woman to be able to take that kick and get up without a rest, if such a feat was even possible.

A feeling of satisfaction washed over Asuka as her kick broke through her obnoxious opponent's guard and sent her flying to mat with a violent crash. Despite the forcefulness of the move, the eccentric woman continued spewing her nonsense. "Oi, Miss, that was a cute trick you pulled there," the Osakan girl said with a long scowl as she she strode over to the downed woman. "but I think it's clear you're all show and no substance." Asuka would grab her opponent by her spiky dark hair and try to force her up onto her knees.

"Maybe I can force you to take this seriously." she would growl before attempting to throw a powerful knee strike into her kneeling opponent's chest.

Gemma appreciated the fact that Asuka appreciated how cunning and fun her trick was, it really meant a lot to the downed but still eccentric one. Sure she didn't openly say that, but she said it was a cute trick which to Gemma took to mean that the opponent loved it and then that somehow got altered by her train of thought until it was some compliment on the showy wrestler's style.

However soon enough Asuka would say something that Gemma didn't appreciate, earning a rare frown from the go lucky American as she peered upwards at the brawler. This time Gemma would keep her eyes sternly focused on her opponent, practically burning a hole into her fellow wrestler with her gaze, even as she felt her hair being tugged. " A-ah- hey watch it!" Gemma would protest, quiet enough that it didn't really come off as a threat as much as it did a request.

The inventor of show style would then be brought to her knees, this wasn't good the show was no where near done so there was no way she was going to bow now. Gemma knew that something was coming her way at some point and would wait patiently for it while trying to bare with the pain in her head and hair's roots. As the experienced wrestler expected an attack would come her way, and the kneeling wrestler would attempt to catch the knee with both hands just in front of her chest.

If she was successful in catching the knee then she would let out a somewhat loud " Ha!" in celebration, before then moving one of her arms quickly and battering it against Asuka's ankle on her other leg. Gemma trying to take advantage of her opponent's own strike to cause her to crumble to the mat due to her only leg which was touching the mat being swept away, the showy wrestler surprisingly showing that she at least had a little substance behind her silliness.

"Maybe if I kick your ass I can teach you to ease up a little" Gemma would offer in retort, grinning and seeming pretty proud of herself for such a line.

Asuka's knee flew toward her smaller opponent and she fully expected the strike to connect, knocking the silly girl flat on the mat. But too her surprise, Asuka discovered her leg caught in her opponent's hands. "ehhh?" she said allowed in legitimate confusion. She would try to pull away but her quick opponent would sweep her leg which was now unbalanced by her attempts to free her caught leg.

The Osakan girl would fall on her butt with a hard thud. She had a confused look on her face as she tried to process what had happened. Her opponent would then threaten to kick her ass prompting the street fighter to smile. "I think I may have misread you. Asuka would admit. "But you must be going senile if you think you can beat me, baba!" Asuka would retort using the Japanese word for old woman before attempting to kick her opponent with her free leg in an attempt to escape.

Gemma may have played that off pretty well, but she knew that knee would have really left a mark. Luckily her nerves were sharper than her wits otherwise she would have been nailed with a painful strike right after making a fumble, which any martial artist could tell you was a horrible outcome. As much as the American tried to leave her martial arts route mostly in the past, it certainly had it's part to play in honing her senses and reactions.

Gemma's opponent didn't have quite the same luck though, as the opportunistic entertainer managed to attack her with enough of a well timed strike that it would take a miracle to avoid or block. Although of course it was a far less catastrophic blow, instead just dropping the street fighter's ass onto the mat, which while it was certainly funny for Gemma to watch it wasn't about to ware down the brutal fighter before her.

The glorified street performer would try to follow up on her momentary advantage, closing in on Asuka and practically pouncing at her fellow downed wrestler as soon as she was nearly done speaking. Unfortunately Gemma's luck would run dry though as she would be met with a pained kick to her rib, earning a cry of pain before Gemma quickly fumbled up to her feet and took a few steps backwards to wait for her opponent to join her.

" What the hell is a Baba?" Gemma would question, picking up on likely the least relevant part of her opponent's statement. Although the grin on her face would probably reveal that ignoring a majority of her opponent's words was probably on purpose.

Her kick connected with her opponent's side and Asuka was able to get free of her opponent and climb to her feet. When she arose she found her opponent waiting for her. The Entergetic American girl didn't understand the Japanese girl's insult and stood their with a stupid mocking grin. "tch, I'll wipe that dumb smirk off your face before we're through!" Asuka growled, becoming increasingly irritated by her opponents frivolous behavior and even more irritated in her own inability to land a blow strong enough to shut the girl up.

Strikes were having only a limited effect on her show off opponent. Asuka would change things up dropping low, she would dive forward attempting an rough and scrappy tackle, similar to that of an American football player. She hoped to take the talkative girl to the ground and if successful mount herself atop her opponent where she would be in a perfect position to rain down powerful punches.
