Sarah Gatt vs Vanessa Vandar

"Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast," played over theloud speakers. It was music that many in the audience had come to anticipate over the months this woman had made her way onto the AFW stage, and left a path of destruction in her wake. Sarah Gatt strode out of the entrance way, heading straight for the ring, not giving the crowd a passing glance. Sarah didn't know why people kept challenging her, not after they saw what she did in the ring. Maybe they wanted to break her winning streak, be the one that finally beats her.

Now that would be the day.

Climbing in the ring and shedding her leather jacket Sarah leaned in her corner, awaiting the arrival of her opponant with a dull gaze.

Soon after Sarah made her entrance, a rather generic sounding placeholder theme would burst over the speakers, as the newcomer Vanessa Vander slowly made her own way down to the ring. She was nervous at this being her first match, anyone could look at her and see the worried look on her face, but at the same time, she seemed....calm, somehow? Regardless, she walked down the ramp and slid into the ring, taking a look around at the crowd before turning to her opponent.

An opponent who's appearance would cause her eyes to go wide in shock, words barely stammering out from her mouth. "Y...you. What are you doing here?!"

Sarah stared impassively at her opponant as she made her way down the ramp. She guessed she was another new girl to the league, since Sarah didn't remember seeing her anywhere. It didn't matter, she'd take her down all the same. She sure didn't look too special.

But when Vanessa entered the ring with that stammered speech, Sarah raised an eyebrow. "Excuse me?" she asked skeptically. "Am I supposed to know you?"

Vanessa glared at Sarah for a moment, reaching up and holding her upper right arm, as if remembering a past injury there, then shake her head.

"You're the one who...never mind. It's not important, I guess. What's important is kicking your sorry ass back out of this ring."

Sarah was still left in the dark, she obviously had no idea who this girl was at first glance. Still, there did seem to be something about her, something she couldn't quite place...

Of course, that all went away when she said what she said. It made Sarah grin quite darkly. "Well now," she chuckled, stepping out of her corner, cracking her knuckles in each hand. "And here I thought I'd be bored today." She stopped just across from Vanessa, her grin still there. "I hope you last long enough to entertain me."

Vanessa locked eyes with Sarah as she stepped forward, raising up her arms defensively, a look of stone-cold seriousness on her face as she replied again. "And I hope you last long enough for me to pay you back all the pain you gave me!"

"I have no idea what the fuck you're talking about," Sarah laughed as she came closer. "But I like your attitude." This woman obviously knew her, but Sarah was still drawing a blank. The bell rang to signal the match to begin, and Sarah would start it out in earnest. Rushing forward with a smile, Sarah would look to deliver a straight punch to Vanessa's face.

Vanessa was primarily a striker, and as that punch came flying her way, she would lean back and to the side of it. She then bounced a bit to the side, throwing a couple quick jabs of her own right to Sarah's chin.

Sarah's punch was dodged easily....just as she thought it would. Sarah had come to learn that in a fight, the opening strikes rarely hit. You needed to keep your oponant off balance first if you wanted it to land. So as soon as Vanessa dodged off to the side, Sarah suddenly spun with it, looking to send a backfist to the side of Vanessa's face.

Vanessa stumbled a few steps back as the backfist smashed into her face, leaving her a bit off-guard already.
