Souko Kawamoto Vs Rainbow Mika - Standard Match

Trying to escape a chokehold was never easy. Even more so if the opponent is behind you, yours arms have a limited firing arc, and it gets tricky to try and land a solid hit. This was the exact issue that Souko had. She couldn't despite her best attempts land a punch against Mika. This made Souko quite angry with herself, she should have seen this coming. To make things worse, it seemed as if Mika was going to be content with leading the match again, using her advantage to lift Souko onto her feet, and transitioning into a side headlock. Souko was not exactly pleased with the position of her head though. Before Souko could react though, Mika shouted out the name of one of her signature moves. This was not good. A shower of punches came in, hitting her in the head hard. Each one causing Souko to grunt louder and louder. Each punch making her more and more dazed. As if it couldnt get worse, Mika then dived forward, throwing her face first into the canvas. Hitting the floor she let out aloud yelp, her nose hitting the canvas first. Thankfully it wasn't broken, but it was very sore. Souko would gasp and lie on the mat, her head and face in alot of pain, and her brain dazed right now. She was far to vulnerable right now, and if Souko didn't come to her sense, this match may be over far too early.

Souko was far too stunned to out any sort of resistance. In this state she was waiting for Mika to prepare a power move of some sort. It made sense this early on in the match that you inflict as much damage as possible before even attempting a pin. Mika however seemed to have other plans. Mika got onto if her and hooked her leg up for a pin. She didn’t even bother flipping Souko over, she just went right for it, clearly confident that Souko was going to be far too out of it to put up any form of resistance, landing Mika an easy win.

“TWO!”

It wasn’t until the second count that Souko snapped back into things, almost like a machine waking up from sleep. She quickly bucked her body, trying to push Mika away but at the very least break the count. If it worked Souko would roll away to the other side of the ring and begin the process if clambering back onto her feet.

The match had not been going for long, but the skill gap between the two fighters was starting to become more and more apparent. Mika had been a pro wrestler for far longer than Souko, and the speed, agility and moveset she used reflected this. Mika had a attack for every situation and she had already gotten Souko in two dangerous possibly match ending holds. Souko was never comfortable about having Mika's friend around. It really unsettled her. She was worried that she might suddenly get involved if Souko got the advantage. So it was time to test that theory.Clambering to her feet she noticed that Mika was getting ready for something bad. Mika started darting forward but instead of just standing there and bracing, Souko ducked down and slid out of the ring.As the her feet touched the arena floor, the ten count started. Souko turned around, noticing that she had pretty much left the ring next to this woman, so now all Souko could do is watch as Mika was dashing for the ropes and noone was there now, she was behind the ropes, waiting for Mika to bounce away or stop so she could launch her own attack. Surely there was noway, Mika could avoid slipping up now. She wasn't that good was she??

Souko smiled when she saw Nadeshiko. She was tempted to strike her, to up the ante and make it a handicap match. But Mika was proving to an already devastating challenge, no need to make it harder. Speaking of her, Souko turned to see if Mika was on the floor, but suddenly as she turned Mika was running at her. In a show of rather impressive talent, Mika had done a double Irish whip and bounced back towards her, then she leapt over the ropes and dropkicked Souko right in the face. They say, there is a moment in every match, where yo can when it should have ended. It did seem to the fans that this was that point. In one fell swoop, Souko was knocked backwards and down onto the cold hard arena floor. Her face already slightly black from the high speed impact she had received. TO make matters worse crashing into the ground was no fun, Letting out a feral scream of agony as hitting the floor made Souko realise the amount of pain she was in. It was not going to get any better though, Mika managed to land ontop of her, her weight crushing down on her ribs and and torso, driving all the air out of her body. The fans loved it, everyone loved it, except Souko.

This was a standard match though. And that meant ringout rules applied. The ref had gotten to two by the time that Souko had gotten hit. While Mika had the full time, Souko had only 7 counts left once she hit the floor, and in the dazed, damaged state she was in now, it looked like getting back into that ring was going to a challenge.

The gap in skill and experience was becoming glaring apparent. Souko could try her best, but Mika was knocking her down at every time. For many fans watching, Mika had won this, and not only won it, but won it by a mile. Souko had hung on bravely but it was time to give up. Accept, Souko was ready for that. It took her a while to get her focus back, Mika had afterall knocked most of the life out of her. By the time she had come back around mostly thanks to the cheering of the crowd, Mika had already pinned her and the count was underway.

"TWO!"

The words of the ref snapped Souko well and truly out of her dazed state. She had to do something. Desperate to break the pin, Souko bucked her body, lifting her shoulders and non pinned leg to prove that she wasn't out just yet. Sadly Souko lacked the strength to get Mika off her though and while her strength was recovering, it was going to take a while for it to come back to a level where she could keep up with Mika. It was right now she had wished she had acted like a bigger heel and just bashed Mika into the canvas at the start. Trying to act honourable and trying to fight like a submissionist had not worked well for her. Souko would lie back down, knowing that she had only delayed her defeat by breaking the pin.
