Hitting the Books

Well, whatever else she could say about her new… instructor, she was definitely seeming enthusiastic about all this. Particularly for someone who’d not been expecting it, who had a pretty major career of her own and who she’d literally just met.

But, well, Alicia wasn’t going to look a gift horse in the mouth. This was definitely something she could use, because she was already learning that the assigned trainers weren’t good for much other than sparring – they weren’t really able to push her in the way she needed if she was going to get her head around the stuff she didn’t know.

Cecilia Northman though… Based on the match she’d been watching, the blonde absolutely knew the stuff that Alicia needed help with. And if she was willing to show her the ropes, she’d be an idiot not to take her up on that offer.

Accepting the offered hand, Alicia shook it with a firm grip. She didn’t feel the need to try engaging in some stupid contest of strength just to show who had stronger arms – probably Cecilia, Alicia’s arms mightn’t be weak but they weren’t the powerhouses her legs were. And the blonde’s arms were definitely well-developed. Holding her grip and the blonde’s gaze for a moment, the redhead gave her a grin of her own.

”Just don’t underestimate me. I may be new here, but I’ve got a ton of kickboxing and MMA experience. And-“ Her grin widened for a heartbeat, ”-I train hard. Holding back doesn’t help anybody, right?”

With that, she dropped the handshake.

”So, how do you want to do this?” Alicia was happy to defer to the expert, she just wanted to make her position absolutely clear – being treated like a novice wasn’t something she’d enjoy. And she’d rather get that out there right now. If Cecilia took offence, that was her problem.

Cecilia and Alicia locked in for that handshake and it seemed to be fairly cordial though soon enough it seemed as if Alica had a few words for her which the blond beauty couldn't help but let out a light chuckle. After which she'd nod her head and shrug her shoulders a bit.

" Well...we'll see. I'm sure you are good and all, but I'll have to test that out before I know how good. You know ? Though I'll take that into consideration." Cecilia spoke out as she'd then finally drop the handshake. Taking a step back she heard that question from Alica which would make the blond beauty raise an eyebrow.

" Well, how about I give you my number and we can like hash things out about when we can do some workout and training and stuff later ? Maybe get a schedule going or something." Cecilia let out as she'd move over towards Alicia's notebook and then attempt to write her phone number down on a page and tear out the piece to then give it to Alica. " There."

”A fair shot is all I ask,” Alicia certainly didn’t have any problem with Cecilia wanting to test her skills out first. Actually? She was looking forward to it. There was not a doubt in her mind that taking on the blonde Valkyrie was going to be immensely fun, challenging and an opportunity she ought to be grateful for getting. And needing to prove she’d got the skills to back up her words was just that bit more incentive to put up as good a fight as she could.

She was also sure she could do just that.

So, there was an eager smile on the redhead’s lips as Cecilia made her suggestion – that was fine by her.

”Sounds good to me,” She agreed, watching the blonde move towards where she’d left her stuff. For a moment, she was curious about what the more experienced wrestler had in mind until Cecilia scribbled her number down and handed it over.

”Thanks,” The kickboxer contemplated it for a moment, before giving her new trainer a grin. ”I’d ask for your autograph too but I’m guessing I shouldn’t push my luck.”

Sobering up, she gave Cecilia a respectful nod.

”Seriously, I appreciate this. And I’m looking forward to getting started.”

Cecilia would nod her head, so far she was liking this girl....she was spirit and someone that Cecilia wouldn't mind help out to be more of a wrestler. Hell she did seem a slight bit star struck though not to the point where it was annoying, just the right amount where a fair bit of respect were shown...which Cecilia liked a lot more than some yippying fan girl!..

The blond beauty handed her number over as it seemed they would most likely be done for now from the looks of it. The mighty blond would shrug her shoulders a bit at the girl's comment. " Oh ? Didn't anyone tell you..." Cecilia said as she paused and glanced away before meeting Alicia's gaze again, this time with the eyes of a fearsome predator...her demeanor changing a bit as she'd lean in a bit closer to the redhead. " My autograph is fresh black eye ~" The blond spoke...her words and voice now just dripping with confidence. Before she'd take a step back and return to being more normal in her demeanor again. " Don't mention it kiddo. If you're gonna learn from videos of me, you might as well learn from the real deal and you know...kill my own boredom in the process. It's a win - win."

The blond finally turned on her heels with her bag along with her and started to head off, her free hand moving up to wave casually without looking back as she'd probably go off to the showers and such.
