24/7 Championship Match: Carmen Rodriguez (C) vs. Gai Tendo - Crazy Train

Gai asked a simple question and he'd get a simple answer. ”Practice.”

It wasn’t a very elaborate answer, but it was the only one she really had time for - the next move she had in mind wasn’t going to give her much of window. The two of them had been fighting back and forth so far, but she decided it was time to see if she could get Gai down and keep him down long enough to pile on some real damage.

Carmen jumped straight up, shot both of her legs, tried to hit Gai with a rough front drop kick, aiming for his chest. Not her more graceful attack, and she wouldn’t have gone for it if he hadn’t been kneeling, but she had high hopes on the impact.

If it hit, anyway. If not, she'd just wind up looking like an idiot and land on her butt.

Luckily for Carmen, that last punch had done just enough to force Gai to need a moment before he could get up, her feet smashing into his chest, dropping him flat onto his back, hitting the metal floor with a loud clanging sound, the male fighter wrapping his arm around his chest as he gasped, coughing loudly as he tried to recover!

It wasn’t the most graceful landing - coming down on her butt was never fun in a wrestling ring, much less on a steel floor - but Carmen came out of the exchange much better than Gai did. So much better, in fact, that she decided it was time to capitalize.

She didn't think it was too likely to work, but Carmen went for a pin, dropping down on his chest with her back and pulling up a leg for it. The referee slid over beside them, getting a close as she could in the tight aisle, and started the count, slapping her palm down as hard as she could manage.

”1…!”

It wasn't easy, what with the aching in his chest and the imprint of her boots on his shirt, but Gai managed to kick out of the pin attempt before the count of two, getting a 1.5 call from the referee.

"Y-You can't beat me bitch..."

The redhead said, trying to shove her away so he could grab a nearby chair and pull himself back up, breathing a little bit easier than after her dropkick.

Okay, Gai was a bit tougher than just some rank-and-file punchmonkey. That was well established when he managed to break the count before the referee Carmen could even get the two-count she’d been hoping for. Tough guy.

”Language, little man.” She rolled to her side and rose up behind him, sparing a quick glance to the side of the car, where a couple of AFW officials were talking with the train authorities. Probably trying to keep them out of the legal quagmire that 24/7 inevitably created. Not her problem.

No, hers was the feisty redhead who was bent on taking the title she'd sworn to fight tooth and nail for, and she dealt with that problem by wrapping her arm around his neck from behind. Carmen forced him up to his feet with a sleeperhold, held secure with her powerful, slender arms, using her height advantage to make it just that much more painful for him.

As if the pain his chest wasn't making it hard enough to breath, the bitch just haaad to lock in a sleeper hold, Gai's arms going to grip Carmens own as she tried to choke him out, already feeling his airway restricted.

Realizing that Carmen would very quickly put him to sleep right here and now, Gai reached back, grabbing Carmen by her hair and, quickly bent over, trying to, if he could, use the leverage to flip Carmen over his shoulder and onto the metal floor, breaking the hold!

Carmen growled and gritted her teeth hard as Gai gripped her hair, and her gaze instinctively shot to the referee - who, of course, did absolutely nothing to stop it. Chalk it up to a lifetime of working within the rules, but even as the 24/7 Champion, a part of her still expected things like hair-pulling to get called out. That was never really going away.

Her intention was to just hammer down on the sleeperhold and force Gai to let her go, but that opportunity never came. Before she had the chance, she was sent flying over his shoulder, tumbling ass-over-teakettle. She had enough wherewithal to realize what was happening and how much it would suck, but there wasn’t anything she could do about it. Things had been set in motion, and gravity was going to have its way.

Carmen came down hard. Hard. The sort of move that wouldn’t have kept her down for two seconds in a regular ring had her shrieking on the steel floor as she crashed hard on her tailbone. She rolled over to her chest and her hand shot to her lower back, nursing the area that a doctor would likely be checking in a day or two.

Gai leaned against one of the chairs in the aisle as Carmen nursed her back, rubbing his throat and coughing, getting his air back. He had to admit, if Carmen had kept that choke hold in for much longer, he would have been choked out for certain.

Unwilling to actually verbalize that however, Gai chose to go on the attack, dropping his knee onto Carmen's lower back, about to apply some kind of submission hold...when the train slowed down, having been slowing down for a while without either of them knowing, getting his attention and distracting him as the train slowed to a stop.

"W-What the fuck!? I thought this was a private car!?"

He yelled, as the cabin door to the outside opened and new passengers started to get on, stopping in confusion at the scene of the man and women fighting in front of them.

The worst thing about wrestling? The thing Carmen was having the hardest time getting used to? Hurting in all the weirdest places. With boxing, there was a general range of damage you could expected to take. With wrestling, it was all over the place, including - but not limited to - getting her bones cracked on the floor.

And also having a knee dropped into her back. That wasn’t pleasant, either.

Carmen didn’t scream when Gai’s knee came down on her back, but that was only because she slammed her teeth down shut hard enough that she might’ve bitten off a piece of her tongue it had been in the wrong place. Gai was an idiot, boisterous, cocky and she hated his hair, but he had good aim and he knew how to use it.

She was in a bad spot, but that didn’t mean she was out of luck all the way - when the doors opened and offered her a distraction, she gladly took it.

”Thought wrong.” Carmen placed her palms on the floor and pushed up, trying to throw Gai off of her back and send him tumbling into the throngs of unsuspecting Japanese commuters who’d unknowingly stepped into a hardcore match.

"WOAH-G-Get off me you idiots!"

Gai yelled, squirming and struggling against the wave of commuters and tourists all trying to get past him to fill the train, the redheaded Japanese native finally shoving his way past several men to get onto the train platform, bending his knees and panting, wiping some sweat off his brow.

"Fucking hell...I hate crowds..."

He said, wondering just how long he'd have to wait before he could get back in and kick Carmens ass, several of the new commuters going over to Carmen to check if she was alright, wondering just what was going on!
