AV 14 Entropy Title Match: Silver Ace (C) Vs. Gwendolyn DuPont Bettencourt

“Tch…hrrgh…” It wasn’t until the heiress attempted to lift the steel ladder herself that she could truly appreciate how much effort it takes to lug this thing around, recoiling her hands after one failed attempt with a frustrated stomp after it collapsed to the mat. The second time would be the charm this time around, steadying it vertically with no small modicum of prideful accomplishment on her part.

Though all this wasted time gave Haley ample time to sneak up on the defenseless heiress, Gwendolyn only just steadying it upright before the Canadian bull rushed the ladder to the canvas. The suicidal gambit left Gwen pinned to the mat and struggling in vain to lift the ladder high enough for her to squeeze free, but with Haley weighing it down, those odds were slim at best.

Throwing her body at a ladder certainly didn't seem like the best decision, but it seemed to pay off, Ace pinning Gwen under the ladder. Getting up to her feet, Ace rubbed her shoulder a little. Ace bruised easily, and wouldn't be surprised if she found a nice purple spot on her shoulder after that move.

Grabbing the ladder, Ace lifted it up, groaning at the awkward metal object. Dragging it over to the corner, she leaned it against the middle turnbuckle pad, instead of having it rest straight up in the corner. No, straight in the corner was too predictable, and Ace couldn't afford to be predictable.

Moving over to Gwen, Ace grabbed her arm and her hair, pulling her up to her feet before quickly whipping her towards the turnbuckle with the ladder in it. The plan was simple, Ace whips Gwen, Gwen trips onto the ladder, and Ace follows up by stomping her face against the rungs! That would show the bitch!

The clanging collision left Gwendolyn trapped beneath the steel structure and her silver haired opponent, Gwen stunned not just from the impact but from Haley’s disregard for her own safety. While the heiress was no stranger to being flattened to the mat below an excessive amount of weight, any reminder to her of that nightmarish tag match was better off locked away in a vault, never to be thought of again.

“Hnngh…” With Haley’s lifting of the ladder off of Gwen’s chest came an immense feeling of relief now that she could breathe properly again. Rolling to her front with an arm over her chest where she felt the most weight compressed down against her, she scrunched her face as whatever Ace was setting up gave her the time to slowly work her way back up to her hands and knees. She was ready to lift herself up on one knee before she would be ‘assisted’ the rest of the way, scrunching her face from the tugging on her scalp form the hair pull.

She would barely have time to appreciate the feeling of being back on her feet before Haley enacted her plan and whipped her towards the partially set up ladder tilting off the middle turnbuckle. Her eyes glared towards the laid out trap, her heart picking up the pace as she recognized the opportunity to demonstrate her innate grace and elegance to the mindless masses…Haley included.

Gwen would sprint to the ladder as intended with her golden curls fluttering behind her, but in a stark contrast to face planting on the metal steps, the heiress would instead continue her directed course by daintily prancing up the ladder on every other step!! With her arms extend to her sides to maintain her balance; the audience would remain slack-jawed at the acrobatic feat as Gwendolyn made the act look like childs play with the metal structure shaking from the added weight but remaining steady throughout. Once a little over halfway up the ladder the heiress would abruptly halt herself on the balls of her feet, bend her knees, and catapult herself backwards in an arching flip for an attempted vertical body splash!!

Ace followed Gwen after whipping her, having thought of a couple potential outcomes already. Gwen tripping like she wanted? Simple, just stomp on her. Gwen stopping herself in time? Ace could just ram into her like she did the ladder to drop her onto the ladder and then stomp on her.

What she hadn't expected, nor the crowd themselves, was for Gwen to run up the ladder and leap off, Ace not having time to react before Gwen's upside down chest collided with her own, dropping her onto the mat with Gwen's body landing on top, legs jerking from the impact, as the crowd applauded the impressive counter.

The sheer feeling of weightlessness in the air made the arching, crescent shaped backflip all the more exhilarating for the heiress, the definition of sublime elegance all throughout the high flying counter. Her chest was still pounding well after the hapless Canadian was slammed back to the mat beneath her, members of the audience begrudgingly admitting through rousing applause that Gwendolyn wasn’t just stroking her own ego when she professed her superior wrestling skills to the world.

“Hmm…there’s an idea~…”After a few seconds of resting her heaving chest comfortably on the pinned Canadian, the heiress recognized opportunity when she spied the ladder still hanging off the corner in front of her. Once back on her feet Gwen would step to Haley’s side and pull the ladder out of the corner so it would collapse to the canvas. Hoisting up her opponent by another firm yank of her silver hair, Gwen tucked Haleys head under the crook of her arm and made sure to jerk in the reverse headlock with vice-like pressure to settle down any struggles.

With the positioning in place and dreaded anticipation coursing through the veins of every one in attendance and watching at home, Gwendolyn would attempt to brutally punish Haleys spine in a suplex attempt onto the cold steel steps of the ladder just behind them!!

Having a rich bitch kick a ladder in her chest?

That sucked.

Having that same bitch counter your move with a backflip and drop you flat?

That really sucked.

Being suplexed onto a steel ladder?

That realllly sucked.

Really hurt too, as Ace discovered the hard way, her back slamming hard onto the unrelenting steel. The shock and pain of the impact cause her to sit up, mouth open in a silent expression of pain, one hand going to her back on instinct as she rolled off the ladder, groaning and biting her lip. Gwen was going to pay for that one alright, Ace would make damn sure of that.

“OHHHHH!!!” Whatever shrill cries of agony Ace was incapable of belting out from her wide-open mouth were replaced with an echoing reaction from the crowd reflecting the pain that Ace must have been feeling the very moment. The cringe inducing act had set a standard for how far they were willing to go to in this match. Gwen sat back up to look over and assess the damage, the sight of Ace writhing in misery on the mat providing an adrenaline rush at the prospect of the Entropy title belt being that much more closer to being in her possession.
 
Back on her feet and with a spring in her step, Gwen strolled over the ladder towards Haley, still nursing the bruise on her back where the steel ladder most left its lasting impressions. Impressions she wouldn’t forget anytime soon as the heiress would wait until Ace rose to her hands and knees before lifting her wrestling boot as high as she could to stomp down on that spot with a smug smile on her face.  Grinding her heel in as she arched forward with her hands on her hips, she pressed her entire weight against the pinned Canadian and took her time to lay in some psychological warfare.

“Truly a champion for the ages~…Your lasting legacy in this league will amount to no more than a pathetic blip of a title reign, summarily forgotten and disregarded as a flash in the pan failure who had gotten lucky and nothing more…”

"Gah! Fuck!"


Ace was vocal that time, as she was stomped on. This wasn't good. Now she had a big weak spot ripe to be targeted by Gwen, right on her back. Stomped down to the mat, Ace could only growl at Gwen's taunting words, her claims that Ace would just be a one hit wonder, akin to the Dexys Midnight Runners or Flock of Seagulls of the world. That would not happen, that could not happen, Ace would make sure of that.

"Rrrmm..Get off!"

She yelled, pushing herself up off the mat, just enough to sweep her arm at Gwen's other leg, trying to trip her up before she could stomp Ace back down.

“Tch!!” Gwen lost her footing on Ace’s aching spine when she swung at the heiress other leg, narrowly missing her appendage but causing her to stumble back a few feet against the ropes. With Haley struggling to bring herself vertical again from the persistent back pains, Gwen decided there would be no better opportunity to deliver the Coup de grâce on her weakened prey.

Positioning herself behind Haley and hopefully well hidden in her blind spot, Gwen began to tap the tip of her right foot on the mat in preparation for her superkick finisher, ‘Colère de Dieu’. A lethal finisher that served to be the knockout blow in her debut match against Asuka, now seconds away from securing her first championship reign in AFW.

“That’s right...come on dear...back on your feet…” Gwen mouthed silent commands to herself as she fixated her malicious glare on the slowly rising Haley. Timing was key though. Once Ace raised herself upward with her back to her, Gwen initiated the wind up phase and began to perform a 360 degree ballerina twirl on her tip toes with her other leg bent and arms arched overhead. Approaching the end of her graceful spin cycle Gwen would extend her bent leg towards the mat before attempting a strike to the side of Haley’s jaw with enough force to send even the hardcore champion to an extended make-out session with the canvas!!

Getting to her feet, Ace quickly realized Gwen wasn't in sight, meaning she must be behind her. That realization, combined with hearing the crowd getting excited, rumbling up, as if preparing to let out a yell, alerted her that Gwen was planning something, something big.

Turning halfway, so that she was facing Gwen sideways, she saw Gwen begin her spin. It only bought her a second, but that second was all Ace needed, the silver haired Entropy champion quickly sidestepping forward, closing the distance between them and lashing out with her leg, raising it and kicking out towards Gwen's head, countering the blondes superkick with her own sidekick, the Silver Flash Kick!
