Demand Match: Ronan Drake vs. Divine - Homewrecking 101

"Oh, yes." Divine chuckled as she rolled forward, making sure Ronan saw her smirk as she went and heard her chuckle. "She was so sweet..."


She wanted to get some more space from him, but he was on her before she had the chance get some good distance, grabbing her by the collar and making her glad she decided not to wear her best jacket to this fight.


Divine put her flexibility to good use and push forward, sliding out of the jacket and shooting her foot out behind her as went, aiming for his groin. With any luck, she'd hit the mark and give him one more reason to take her seriously.

Ronan had just managed to get his fingers dug into the back of Divine's jacket just as she rolled away to put some distance between them once again, but what he hadn't counted on was that she would not break away from him without a measure of satisfaction herself. As Divine slid out of her jacket Ronan yanked back hard and without anything resisting his pull he stumbled backwards, Divine's heel just brushing against his manhood but it was more than enough to send the ever dreaded pain all men were familiar with shooting through him.

His teeth ground together through the pain but he wasn't going to give her any further satisfaction through hearing him groan or anything, Ronan shaking it off and then grinning as he made a show of holding the arms of the jacket out to the sides as if testing how it might fit him.

"A little small for me but maybe Ro will like it." He said with a laugh before tossing it over onto one of the nearby benches, his eyes set on Divine as he made his way toward her and the showers.

Ronan was a chatty and cheeky little fucker. Not that Divine had much room to talk on that matter, but she tried to keep it while she moved during the fight. Ronan was straight-up gloating. Not to say she had a problem it with, though, since his talking gave her a golden opportunity to get back up and turn his way. She was more than a little perturbed that her kick at his family jewels didn't seem to have much of an effect, but it was small potatoes. Sooner or later, she'd hit her mark.

She took the breather and rose up, dusting off her shoulders and using the newfound space to get some distance. "Not her style, huh? Starting to wonder if I can say the same thing about you."


The moment he made his way into the showers, she jumped towards him with and shot both of her legs up with a double snap kick, one foot going towards his gut and the other going for his chest. It was time she got some mileage out of the steel toes in her boots.

Ronan had long ago learned not to underestimate the women of the AFW, before he ever stepped foot inside one of their arenas in fact or even became an employee of the organization. From watching their weekly broadcast on whatever computer he could get his hands on during his time in Japan as a freelancer Ronan had seen just how dangerous any women here could be at a moment's notice and Divine he was sure was no exception despite her being the most attractive out of those who attacked Ro. He wanted to just rush after her and end this fight in a blur of fists but he was weary of whatever surprises she might have in store for him, so Ronan was playing the cautious type for once even if it meant giving her more breathing room than he would have liked.

She went off again trying to get under his skin and this time he did think back to how he felt when he met John for the first time, how he couldn't stop himself from thinking he was a man who had and likely still was intimate with Ro from time to time, no matter how much he believed himself perfectly alright with the open relationship she and he had agreed upon.

"Sorry Divine but don't you ever read manga? That tactic never works on the hero who is sure of himself and those he cares for, Ro and I are solid and you're not convincing me otherwise." He said hoping it would get her to put an end to such attempts and get back to why they were really here, the fighting. He stepped into the showers to get her back into the reach of his arms when she surprised him with a dropkick with each of her feet connecting with far more pressure than they should have. Ronan grunted in pain as he crashed down onto his back on the hard tile floor, his right hand rubbing his chest as he tried to figure out how she could kick him that hard. "Good one."

Divine had to chuckle at his question. That was something she never expected to be asked in the middle of match. Or ever really. "No, Ronan, I do not read manga." Her laugh died off, fading into her common smirk. "Maybe if you spent more time in reality and less time reading books backwards, your woman wouldn't be out hunting for cock and pussy every other night. Just a thought."

She hit the floor and did a quick kip up to her feet, her dancing experience coming in handy. She moved after him, ignoring his complement and capitalizing on the moment. Last time, she'd tried something risky and paid for it. This time, she would be a little more careful.

She raised her foot, looking for all the world like she was simply going to stop him right on the dick. And while that was tempting, she had a better target in mind. Divine hopped back right before she brought the heel down and sent it screeching towards his knee instead, looking to do some damage that would last the entire fight and swing the odds in her favor.

Divine really wasn't giving up on trying to make him doubt the relationship he and Ro had and it didn't seem to matter how many times he told her it just wasn't going to work she kept trying anyway. And yet as she spoke she would see a brief flash of anger on the face of Ronan as he leaned up off of the floor after she had put him there with that hard kick, his eyes locking onto Divine as she jumped back up in the same amount of time it took him to rise a foot.

What would no doubt surprise her if she knew however was that it wasn't her comment on Ro that had brought about this emotional response, though he was tired of hearing that too, but rather her dismissal of manga, his favorite form of entertainment that wasn't Ro related. "You really should broaden your horizons you know that?" The man said just as she stepped forward and brought her leg up, Ronan's eyes open wide in alarm as he thought she was about to plant her foot squarely on his manhood.

Reacting as any man would Ronan scrambled to get out of the way of her boot clad foot, leaning backwards in a hurry while swinging his legs up, knees coming up to his chest as he rolled backwards escaping her foot moments before he heard it clacking against the floor. "So tell me, whats in that boot of yours? Either you have feet of steel or your its your shoes." He said trying to confirm a suspicion of his after feeling how hard her kick was.

And there Ronan went again, dodging Divine's attacks. He was insanely, impressively, annoying versatile as a fighter, and she was start to feel like her partner's intervention might become needed to get the job done right. Just a little more, though...

"My horizons are quite broad." She gritted her teeth hard as her heel slammed into the ground, getting nothing but the unyielding floor. "I just prefer to act my age. I got over reading books with pictures quite a while ago." Honestly, Divine got the impression he was more insulted by her crack at his comic books than anything else she'd said. And this from a grown man? No wonder Ro had been so receptive.

"It could be both." She stepped after him and shot her leg out with a quick snap kick, looking to nail him in the jaw before he could even get all the way back up.

Ronan relied more on his instincts than he did on any formal training, a fact that had earned him the nickname beast back home in New York City, and so far it had worked well for him so he hadn't saw a need to try and change it. Even so he had only managed to land one clean hit on Divine since the fight had begun and she had put him on his back not once but twice, meaning he needed to step up his game if he wanted to keep his promise to Ro.

"To write off an entire medium like that shows you dont understand anything Divine, its like saying you don't read novels because theres children books." He said in defense of his manga just before Divine lashed out with a snap kick towards his jaw, Ronan twisting his body trying to avoid it but the kick connected all the same sending him stumbling backwards until his back hit the wall. His left hand came up to rub his throbbing jaw while his eyes set themselves on Divine, a smirk appearing on his lips.

"Okay so you can kick I get it, what else can you do?" He said as he pushed himself off the wall, taking a few cautious steps towards her before lunging forward at full speed with a right hook aimed for Divine's stomach.

Divine could actually do quite a few things, but most of them required her to get Ronan down, and the bastard just refused to stay on the floor for any real length of time. She was starting to wish Stone took this one instead of her. The big girl was their tank, she was made for stuff like this. Hell, even Mako would have been a good choice. Small as she was, the girl loved her violence. The longer this fight went on, the more the gap between them became apparent, and Divine began to care less about her pride and more about not getting annihilated.

If there'd been any question about her chances, the punch Divine took to her stomach would have silenced it. She croaked before she could even think of a comeback, and suddenly she was far more concerned about her aching stomach than heaping anymore insults on Ronan. She staggered back, this time stumbling towards the shower stalls while she grasped her aching ribs. Cracked. Definitely cracked. Just great.

Ronan was not a wrestler, he was a brawler plain and simple which meant when he was knocked onto his back his first thought was to get back on his feet so he could fight in the way best suited to him. Still Divine wasn't making it easy on him, his jaw felt like she might have knocked it loose and it was still hard to breathe after her drop kick earlier. Yet his strategy for any fight was to charge ahead until it was won so thats exactly what he did, throwing himself forward with his clenched fist slamming into the woman's stomach.

Divine took the blow head on and if she had anything more to say about him those words were now stuck in her throat which was fine by him. She was sent stumbling backwards while clutching her midsection, Ronan however remained where he stood coughing for air after trying to take a deep breath only to find it wasn't easy to do.
