Wrestling Information

Strategy: Defensive. Kameyo is very new to wrestling, and thus has yet to truly establish an effective strategy, although she's very much aware that whatever she comes up with will focus on her size and weight. She relies a lot on the extra padding to absorb the brunt of an opponent's attack, then using the opening to either retaliate, typically by applying a hold to prevent them from getting back out of her reach.

Style: Pro style, with a focus on grapples and submission holds. Her repertoire is a little basic at the moment, but she's learning a great deal from her friend and mentor Kandi Kotton.

Type: Kameyo is an outright Face, having not a mean bone in her body, although her naïve personality and relative lack of experience tends to give her a few Jobber like elements, especially when matching with the more ruthless heels.

Preferred Attacks: Kameyo is strong enough that if she could master the techniques, her slams could be very effective, but she's far too worried that she might hurt someone, and thus she lacks the typical list of power moves one might expect from such a large woman. Instead, she focuses on open-palm strikes (typically used to unbalance an opponent or force them into the ropes or a corner), and a number of submission holds, most of which have a focus to either lift an opponent off the floor, or otherwise keep them immobile and within reach.

Preferred Matches: Having only really experienced regular pro style thus far, Kameyo is largely unsure of how she might feel about the other styles, although it is likely her half-sister Suzu or her mentor Kandi Kotton could convince her to try other match types.

Endurance: ★★ - Kameyo's mass has advantages in the ring, but she can very easily tire herself out if she doesn't pace herself.
Strength: ★★★ - In truth she's probably stronger than the stat indicates, but she's so hesitant to use it that she limits herself a lot during matches.
Speed: 1/2 ★ - Kameyo will not be winning any races...ever.
Defence: ★★★★★ - Between her girth and her natural instinct to shield herself, Kameyo's defence makes for a formidable obstacle to try and overcome, able to take some very impressive shots and stay standing.
Technique: ★★ - While she's come a long way, Kameyo's technique still needs some refinement, and she can't afford to take her time like in her practise bouts.

Strikes: ★ [★★★★] - In terms of hard-hitting power, Kameyo simply lacks the conviction to put her all into a swing, but for the purposes of open-palm strikes meant to shove opponents around, the second figure is more accurate
Submissions: ★★★ - Most of Kameyo's focus is on submission holds of one sort of another, and while she needs more practise, her ability to maintain a hold is impressive.
Powerhouse: ★ - Much like her strikes, it is more Kameyo's personality than her capability that limits her in this regard.
Aerial: - No.....just no.
Counters: ★★ - Being far too large to chase after opponents, Kandi has been trying to teach Kameyo to wait for the right moment before turning things around on an opponent.

Favored moves: Bearhug, Fujiwara Armbar, Abdominal Stretch, and other similar holds that generally focus on the limbs or torso.

Finishing moves: Fuwafuwa Shiro [Squishy Castle] - propping an opponent up in the corner, Kameyo loops her arms around both her opponent and the corner post as if going for a bearhug, and simply squeezes herself against an opponent, trapping her between the turnbuckle and her own girth. This can be made more effective by relaxing then tightening the hold on-and-off to keep an opponent from adjusting to the pressure, but can lead to opportunities for an opponent to break the hold.

Physical Appearance: Oshiro Kameyo is, and always has been, a very large woman, and while she's no longer quite as shy as she once was she's still very self-conscious about it. The majority of her weight seems to settle in her stomach, although she'd very well padded all over; the one area where her weight is perhaps not as pronounced is her chest, a fact for which her far smaller but far bustier half-sister Suzu is constantly teasing her over. Naturally her hair is a dark brown much like her half-sister, but she chooses to dye it blonde as a reminder of her mother.

Personality: Kameyo is a very shy person, and tends to struggle with interacting with strangers, but once she warms up to someone she is incredibly sweet, kind and caring. She is very laid back, being largely uncompetitive (except in the case of board games) and happy to go with the flow, although when she has a desire to do something she can be exceptionally driven. Part of the reason her friend Kandi Kotton pushed her into getting involved in wrestling was to force her to become more personable and outgoing.

Past/History: Born to a British mother and a Japanese father, Kameyo was born in Osaka, Japan. Her mother was a medical researcher who had been attending a conference when she first met Kameyo's father, who worked for a private security firm that was handling the security for the event. The two shared a whirlwind romance that quick developed into something more serious, and Kameyo's mother decided to settle down in Japan so they could raise a family. Sadly, when Kameyo was just a year old, her mother passed away after a tragic accident, leaving her father to try and raise her alone. He managed for several years, until finding a new love, and by the time Kameyo was four, her half-sister Suzu was born. Kameyo's childhood was well-off, and perhaps because of her similarity to her mother, her father spoiled both her and her half-sister, which combined with a sweet tooth quickly developed into a habit for snacking.

By the time she was old enough to go through school, while she did very well in all her subjects, her weight made her very self-conscious, and the teasing the other girls gave her only led her to eat more. She found refuge in the board-game club, and actually became quite skilled at a number of games, but when it came time to graduate she had only grown larger. Deciding to take the opportunity to visit the homeland of her mother, Kameyo applied to study in England, and spent several years overseas. During this time, she met her long-lasting friend Samantha Cotton, or "Kandi Kotton" to go by her DJ name was. being in the presence of a large but very confident woman was an eye-opener for Kameyo, and she began to feel more comfortable in herself, although only very slowly. It was around the time that she had finished her degree that her half-sister was old enough to travel out to meet her, and much to Kameyo's surprise, Suzu had taken after her sibling by packing on some pounds. Deciding to take some time out to enjoy life, Kandi struck upon a crazy idea that might help encourage Kameyo to open up a little more...

Wrestling Attire: Kameyo tends to wear a plain blue one-piece, with lace-up boots and white knee and elbow pads. Kandi is working on a more "elaborate" costume for her friend to wear, though it's not yet certain whether Kameyo will have to courage to wear something quite so flashy in a match.

Fun Facts:
- Kameyo was studying for a nursing degree at the Manchester Metropolitan University. She's still weighing her options as to whether to go into nursing as a career, or to study further in a specific medical field.
- Kameyo has a sweet tooth and likes most desserts, but the one she likes most of all is custard
- The only time Kameyo gets super competitive is during a board-game. Her time playing games after school for years has given her a surprisingly keen tactical mind; the club-members still talk in hushed tones of the "Tyrant-Queen of Twilight Imperium" and her unbeaten 100-game rule of the galaxy.

Oshiro Suzu - Kameyo's half-sister, Suzu is more headstrong than her older sister, but despite the striking personality differences the two are nigh-inseparable.

Kandi Kotton - Her long-time friend from her days studying in England, Kandi made the jump across the pond with Kameyo, and provides a source of confidence and support to the Japanese woman.

Sally Brown - After a chance meeting between the two during a particularly low point, the pair managed to restore each other's faith in the AFW.
