The War in the Ward - Page 7 Empty Re: The War in the Ward

Carmen thought for a moment, carefully considering her words. Her father had been a good boxer, but he was an even better cornerman, and she would have to draw on some of his expertise. It was all about getting the boxer's mind right in a small time frame. Like a pit crew feverishly working on a car, Carmen would have to do what she needed to do as quick as she could do it.

"You're aggressive. You have a strong will." She put some warmth into her voice - after all, it was thrilling to see those traits come out of her in combat. "You do well on the offense, but watch your defense, too. Don't be afraid to let her come at your guard and wait for a good moment to strike. You have to know when to pull back and let her do the work for you." She reached up and wiped some sweat off her brow. "You're amazing. Keep at it."

Lydia nodded along with everything Lorenza said. It all made sense. She'd done a good job weathering the storm so far, but she couldn't get by on that alone. She had to come out of the shell and deliver the fight. In the next round, she would earn Lorenza's title - reina. She'd be the queen.

She popped the mouthguard back in and bit down hard. "Ready."

Colleen drank her water greedily, and did her best to soak up every one of Carmen’️s words as quickly as she was soaking up that precious liquid. She needed to watch her defense. She needed to give Lydia a chance to attack, a chance to make mistakes which could be exploited. It made sense. Carmen was brilliant.

“You’️re amazing, too,” Colleen said to Carmen, leaning over to kiss her bedridden lover on the lips. Then, she slid her mouthguard back into her mouth, stood up, and pounded her gloves together. “I’️m ready.”

On the other side, Lorenza was giving Lydia advice that ran along almost exactly the opposite track as Carmen’️s advice to Colleen. But both tracks would likely see the recipients of the advice end up in the same place. Coming from the two sides of the offensive-defensive spectrum, both amateur pugilists would be looking to find that happy medium. “Go get her,” Lorenza encouraged Lydia, slapping the tattooed woman’️s butt fondly. Then, once both women were up and ready to fight, Lorenza would call out: “Round two! Ding ding!”

Ah, if Marvin Gaye only knew how true his words were. Colleen had some amazing sexual healing.

Carmen relaxed as her kiss settled in, enjoying the contact and selfishly wishing they had more time to savor it. Maybe they could work out something with the nurses and let their lovers stay past visiting hours? It couldn't hurt to ask, of course, and as Carmen saw Colleen walk away and watched her flawless ass swing from side to side, that mental note became engraved in stone. She didn't want to spend the next week fantasizing, she wanted the real thing, as much of it as she could get.

Lydia giggled through her mouthguard at Lorenza's slap and put some of her own wiggle on top of it, giving Lorenza a fine show before made her way back into the 'ring'. She slapped her gloves and met Lydia at the center, getting her guard up before the round even started.

Lydia came out the moment Lorenza rang the bell and took the initiative, ducking low and throwing out two hooks - right and left, back to back - at Colleen's stomach.

Lorenza enjoyed the view as her lover walked away, that fine ass swaying from side to side as she marched back into battle. She had never really considered herself to be either a butt woman or a boobs woman, but Lydia’️s ass was so fine that Lorenza was starting to wonder if she really did have a preference after all.

Once Lydia threw out her first punch of the second round and turned to the side a little, though, the sight of her smooth, lovely breast put Lorenza firmly into the unaligned category once again.

Colleen would follow Carmen’️s advice as the second round began, coming out a little more cautiously, putting her guard up and waiting for Lydia to make the first move. The tattoo artist seemed to jump at the chance to take the initiative herself, as she ducked low and sent two hard hooks, one left and one right, slamming into Colleen’️s stomach. “Agh! Oof!” Colleen groaned, as the gloves pounded away at her midsection. She backed up, and sent a hard, haymaking right hook at Lydia’️s head, hoping to catch the other woman unawares and stun her, ending her offensive before it even truly began—before she could actually break any of Colleen’️s ribs.

The War in the Ward - Page 7 Empty Re: The War in the Ward

As much as Carmen loved to be in the fight herself, there was something oddly satisfying about seeing someone execute her instructions and pull them off. The satisfaction a teacher gets when her student properly applies things he learned during instruction. It was the sort of pride she longed for, or just a taste of it. Breeding a successful boxer. Knowing everything you learned would survive for the next generation.

Lydia was learning a new kind of gratification, too - the kind you get when you land a real punch. Both her blows slammed into Colleen's body and made her writhe from the pain. Sinking her gloves into Colleen's smooth skin was a rush, and one she expected to get a lot more of before the three minutes were done.

Colleen was protecting herself, but Lydia knew that wouldn't last. Almost as if on cue, she threw out the right hook, one of Lorenza's most notorious punches, a real deathdealer...if it hurt. It didn't, but Lydia took out another page from Lorenza's book, and moved forward, making the blow cut short. She threw out a quick jab into Colleen's chest, then pushed forward, trying make her stumble towards the edge of the ring.

Lydia’️s punches hurt Colleen, but she launched her own punch just as quickly, hoping to get some quick revenge and knock Lydia back. But the tattooed woman had other ideas. She came forward as Colleen threw her punch, cutting the blow short. Next came a quick jab aimed at Colleen’️s chest, which the lighter-haired woman was just barely able to deflect with her own gloves.

Lydia came in close then, pushing forward, trying to force Colleen all the way back to the wall which marked the perimeter of their “ring.” Colleen, obviously, did not want to be trapped in that way. She would wrap her arms around Lydia, clinching with her opponent, feeling her opponent’️s nipples spearing into hers, violently but also arousingly. Thinking fast, Colleen would plant one foot hard on the tiled floor and pivot, trying to use Lydia’️s own momentum against her. Colleen would try to reverse their positions and back Lydia up against the wall instead!

Getting past the hesitation was one of the harder things, Lydia was noticing. There was a natural tendency to hold punches back, to shy away from the vital areas. Something deep rooted, psychological, hard for someone who hardly ever fought to get past. But she was learning it. It was a trial by wildfire, but she was going to come out the other end.

Lydia started to move back into her comfort zone from that quick volley, but Colleen had other things in mind - a little intimate contact, a tight clinch. Lydia immediately tried to ignore her sensual instincts and pull away, but they were too close in strength, too evenly matched for an easy escape. Making matters worse, Colleen used her struggles against her and put the Tattooed Lady in a corner, the exact last place she wanted to be in this room. It was all she could do to try and push the light-haired woman away and try to turtle up in time, knowing the pain would be coming soon.

"Nice!" Carmen belted out with a quick laugh, genuinely impressed by Colleen's move. That was the sort of thing she wouldn't get around to teaching until the third week, at the earliest.

Lorenza was concerned for Lydia when the tattooed woman fell victim to quite the advanced ploy from Colleen. It was a perfectly legal, but also perfectly unexpected move, and it turned a rather unfortunate situation for Colleen into a position of strength as she pushed Lydia back into the corner.

Colleen smiled upon hearing Carmen’️s exclamation, and she would do her best to make her Puerto Rican lover proud. Despite her more sensual side wanting more contact between hers and Lydia’️s nipples, Colleen would force herself to let go of the clinch. When she did, Lydia turtled up almost immediately. It was to be expected. Colleen had her cornered, however, and the more clean-cut woman would go to work on her foe now, throwing out combination after combination, series of fast jabs directed at Lydia’️s head and chest, punctuated by the occasional hook to the cheek or the side, looking to batter the tattooed woman until she dropped.

When this was over, win or lose, Lydia would have to ask Colleen where she picked up all this experience from. It couldn't just be from watching videos on Youtube. She fought like someone who had more than a vague idea of what to do, someone who'd done something quite similar before. Lydia wasn't about to back down, she still believed she could win this, but a lot of her bravado had been worn away. This was starting to get painfully hard

The first step to winning would be getting out of the blasted corner she found herself in. Her guard was up, weathering the storm as best she could, but there was only so much she could take. Lydia was like a machine, everything flowing, each punch followed up by something just as deadly. Some of them found their way through and made Lydia cry out, some were blocked, but all of them were sapping away at her reserves, whittling down her resistance.

It was risky, but her only chance was to come out of her shell and hope for the best. She waited for Lydia to start throwing a hook and burst out, coming at Carmen's lover with a barrage of jabs, left and right, throwing out rapid fire punches to drive her back and hopefully make some breathing room.

Colleen’️s barrage was hard and heavy, as she had Lydia backed up against the wall and could smell the blood in the water. Most of her punches were deflected or absorbed, unfortunately, but a fair number found their way through Lydia’️s guard and found their mark, each of these hits making the tattoo artist moan and groan. Colleen kept on pummeling her foe, waiting for Lydia to drop.

She almost had her, too, or at least that was what Colleen thought. The look in Lydia’️s eyes seemed weary, and desperate. But, if the tattoo artist was desperate, from that desperation was born one hell of a counterattack. As Colleen threw another hard hook for Lydia’️s face, her foe came at her with a barrage of her own. Rapid jabs, left and right, all aimed right for Colleen’️s pretty face. She couldn’️t bring her guard up in the middle of a punch, and she paid a dear price, as punch after punch smashed into her face. Colleen reeled backwards, stumbling, almost tripping over her own feet, taking almost a dozen shots to her face before she was able to get her gloves up in between two of Lydia’️s rapid punches and force the other pugilist away. A small trickle of blood formed in the corner of Colleen’️s mouth.
