Mikoto Kusanagi vs. Divastator (FWC)

Normal Match: "Flashy Finish" - The first pin only counts if that person performed their finishing maneuver before it. If their opponent kicks out than any pin afterwards is now legal and submissions can follow.

Another match was about to begin and this one was pitted against two fighters who are still rookies. One fighter already won her first match in her debut and she was excited to see why the other girl can do. The fans waited and cheered in anticipation as they are willing to see how this will unfold.

Suddenly, the lights would shut down from the back to the front of the walkway and blue lights would circle around the center of it as the music for The Ting Tings's "That's Not My Name" began building up. As soon as the first beat hit, there stood a girl with black hair and blue eyes wearing a black sleeveless top, a black skirt with leggings, and sneakers.



She then began to dance to the music as if she was reliving her old days before she became a fighter. Once a pop and rock star, she was once considered to have slick, quick, and hard-hitting moves whenever she sings, and it shows as she makes her way across the ring.

As soon as she got to the ring, she would go through the ropes and make her way to the center. As the song ends, the blue lights circled around her as if the spotlight was only on her. And now, she waited for the other girl to come along

Not long after Divastators pop star entrance and dance number the spotlight would close on the diva as the guitar riffs of her opponentâ€s theme started reverberating throughout the stadium. The Indomitable Miko Princess would push the curtains aside in a flourish once the enchanting lyrics of her theme began, her own spotlights circling around her only with a red tint instead of blue. Stopping atop the ramp Mikoto would stand tall and clasp her hands together with one hand over the other in a typical Shinto priestess stance, saying a quick prayer for both her and opponents safety as well as blessings for luck in her bout.

With her slightly more revealing priestess wrestling attire with the miko pants cut off at her thighs, the priestess finished her prayer and ran down the ramp with her theme still getting the crowd pumped, her flowing hair waving in the wind. Sliding under the bottom rope she took a minute to raise her fists atop one of the turnbuckles to the audiences roaring approval before jumping down to examine her opponent. *Lisa Sands…..wasnâ€t she a pop diva for some time? Her name sounds familiar though, some sort of controversy....Hmm…* Miko was unfortunately horribly out of the loop in terms of entertainment news, having trouble placing where she knows her opponent from.

“Lisa, is it, or is it Leslie? My name is Mikoto Kusanagi”, Miko would bow deeply after giving her name before innocently asking out of curiosity, “Excuse me, but werenâ€t you once a pop diva?”

Divastator would sit back against her own turnbuckle as she watched Mikoto make her entrance. The attire of a priestess intrigues her and she was curious to know what her skill set is in comparison to hers. When Mikoto came over to greet her, Divastator would bow back and say, "Pleased to meet you, Mikoto. You can call me Lisa or Leslie, I don't mind either."

When asked about her past, Diva just sighed as she replied, "Yeah, I was a pop diva once. I suppose you too heard what happened to me?"

Mikotos demeanor would visibly become more relaxed and less apprehensive once Lisa responded in such a polite manner. Her nerves were slightly on edge when she was informed her opponent went by the somewhat intimidating moniker “Divastator”. That stage name along with Lisaâ€s all black ring attire gave Miko more than enough reason enough to suspect Lisa had become some…..embittered, sadistic…..brute. Although still too early to be officially proven wrong, Lisaâ€s show of civility at least earned her a second chance at a first impression.

“Oh….umm. No, actually. Well not entirely, Iâ€ve only heard bits and pieces, some sort of controversy involving one of your shows. Iâ€m sorry, Iâ€m quite out of the loop in terms of the….music scene”. Miko smiled shyly as she responded to Lisaâ€s question, her eyes going to the mat at her confession of her ignorance in terms of entertainment news. She honestly had no time in her life to keep track with any of that, even when she was friends with some actual pop idols, like Chigusa and Megumi. “Uh, you donâ€t need to tell me about it if you donâ€t want to Lisa, but I know a little about the stresses involved with being a pop idol…”

Diva scratched the back of her head as she can see that Mikoto actually knows a few things about her. Nodding, she would say, "It's not much of a bother. I get that a lot an it's very common for celebrities nowadays. Some run with brutal honesty, while others just simply try to sugarcoat or make the story look appealing and inviting."

Clearing her throat, Diva added, "Don't worry about it. I can tell you what really happened of you yourself are ready to receive it."

Mikoto tilted her head slightly as the fallen diva continued to act in a respectable fashion, pleasantly surprised at Lisas seemingly well-mannered temperament. She also apparently lived as a celebrity long enough to be quite familiar with their personality quirks. Miko was actually hoping to make some new friends during her employment at AFW, which was always somewhat difficult thanks to her introverted personality.

“Ah, so I suppose that makes you one of the brutally honest celebrities. Hmm…well, I suppose I am somewhat curious, and if youâ€re comfortable with it perhaps I can offer a helping hand, give some advice, or just lend a friendly ear.” Miko stepped forward slightly with a warm expression, Lisaâ€s demeanor having earned some trust on Mikos part.“Although maybe we should speak afterward, the match may well start soon and I donâ€t know how much time weâ€ll have to talk….”

"Thanks," said Diva with a smile, glad that someone was gracious enough to help her out. "And you're right, let's get this thing going. Don't hold anything back though because I was named "Divastator" for a very VERY good reason." Saying so, she would step back and stretch out her arms before cracking her knuckles. The bell had to ring soon so that she can start showing her stuff and hopefully, Mikoto can do the same.

"Right, let's see if you can live up to that rather unique name...", Mikoto said with a competitive grin as the bell rang immediately after Divastators bold declaration. In all honesty the priestess would have rather continue their polite conversation, but her obligation came to the match at hand, first and foremost. Miko circled around the ring with her leather-clad opponent, offering up two hands for a tie-up, but once close enough would kick Lisa in the abs instead. Once stunned, Miko would grab her arm and shoot her to the ropes in an Irish whip, readying her self to deliver a missile dropkick to upon her return.

Divastator would hear the bell and she immediately got in her fighting stance to show her preparation. She would watch as Mikoto circled around her and offered up two hands for a lockup. She would think on her next move for although this girl is a priestess, there had to be more to her. So, she would accept the lockup only to get kicked in the abs.

"GUH!!" Diva grunted as she doubled over and was grabbed by the arm. Mikoto would swing her to the ropes, but Diva had an idea in mind. Still doubled over, she would return, but then attempt to go down and roll under Mikoto's drop kick. If this worked, Diva can rely her stomach before getting back to it.

Mikoto gasped out loud when Diva ducked underneath her dropkick and sent the priestess falling down to the mat. Not to stunned from the drop, Miko would roll to the side to avoid any reprisal from the fallen diva. Holding her side and looking somewhat embarrassed at the missed maneuver, Miko looked up and gave a sly grin to her opponent.

“Heh…youâ€re faster than I thought Lisa. I guess Iâ€ll just have to be even faster.” Raising herself to one knee, Miko would attempt to regain momentum by running toward Diva and sweep out her legs with a low spinning kick to her ankles.
