Immense fate; Inane fate

Aurelia slid the backpack off the side of her shoulder in an effort to press further up against the wall of the second story safe-room. That mercenary, 'eyedrops', had seen Aurelia slip into the room but she was too far behind to catch her before the blonde could hide. Aurelia glanced down at her watch, 21:45, she had time to spare as long as she could ditch this woman. She slung her Kalashnikov on her other shoulder reaching up behind her to press the locking sequence for the door, keying in each digit except the last one.

Lia proceeded quickly down the hallway, scanning each intermediate exit before charging into the last one, the safe room. Whoever this soldier was, she was smart to run. But Lia was not getting paid to let anyone escape. This was too valuable a site. Nudging the door open, Lia stepped in and began to scan the room quickly and quietly, eyes never leaving the sights of her gun. She had taken a couple of tentative steps into the room and had not seen her quarry yet.
