A former women's champion in the middleweight division, beating her cousin Louise Giovanni for the championship. As a kid, both girls used to be best friends, having met during their high school years. However, both girls would find out that their parents were both enemies and sisters, both being rulers of grand dynasties. Louise's mother, was a cruel and powerful woman, while Sydney's was pure, kind, and noble. Of course, Sydney's mother had gathered more followers, so in hopes that she could get one over on her sister, Louise's mother had released a curse on their family in order to kill Sydney's mother, but instead, it would curse both of them with immortality and severe bloodlust. They were both cast as monsters, being forced into hiding. In that time, Sydney was born, her mother wanting her to live a normal life, despite the curse passing from generation to generation. She'd end up turning out to be quite the delinquent, almost ending up in prison, before Louise offered her a job at her mother's wrestling firm. Things went great at first, but the cycle once again repeated once Louise got jealous of Sydney's popularity. In fact, her own mother had begun to cherish Sydney more than she did Louise. This led to a fruitful rivalry, where Sydney would ultimately lose to Louise, but the two came to a conclusion. At least, until their mothers met. This caused the both of them to learn of their families curse, and splintered the family more than it already had been. Sydney and Louise promised to each other to not have kids, because only a year later, Sydney was pregnant with a daughter, and later a son. Louise had dedicated the rest of her life to researching their curse, and found out that the demon that has haunted their family for three generations was one of fame. She, specifically, found out that there was a cult that worshiped their demon. With further research, she joined them and realized that their true intentions were to release the demon from their family. It's why Louise proposed that they don't have kids, but Sydney disobeyed her in an act of what felt like disrespect, and selfishness to the kids she'd bore. Louise wanted to kill their entire family, despite them being immortal, because she wanted to stop the cult from releasing the demon on the world. Years later, Sydney would be on the search for her children, whom she abandoned. She's recently met up with her mother and other ancestors and descendants of theirs to try and stop Freja, Louise, and Louise's mother.
Sydney arrives back onto the wrestling scene, making a huge splash. She's on the search for her daughter, aware that she's going by her real name now: Yona Giovanni.

Sydney returns to wrestling, hoping to find her long-lost daughter, but is confronted with nostalgia for her old career, and is burdened with the dilemma of if she should leave her bland, boring life as a librarian and be a veteran wrestler that might fuck up her legacy if she takes hard losses, or be unsatisfied with her life. In the end, she tries to avoid the question, reminding herself that she came for Yona, which costs her the match.
