Blistering Impact- Comet vs Dave!

*Another night, another fight- Comet had grown so accustomed to this lifestyle throughout his numerous years as an entertainer, putting on spectacular performances for the ravenous audience, it was as if he hadn't known who he was prior to lacing up- Before dawning the mask and making his mark on the independent circuit, he was a generic nobody without pride or purpose, aimlessly drifting through the day to day monotony. This former life, however, was discarded in exchange for his current existence- Providing his diehard fans with astonishing exhibitions, like the one he was scheduled for tonight. As he ruminated on the limitless possibilities the evening had in store for him, Comet finished tossing on his wrestling garb before exiting the locker room, muttering affirmations to himself while splitting the curtains down the center and into the public eye!*

*The reception he received was expected, but always something he reveled in- The audience was ecstatic to see him once more, and as he bounded down the ramp and up the staircase, he felt an indescribable rush of adrenaline flowing through his veins. Before his music completely faded, he knelt down, striking his signature pose while gesturing towards the sky- Make the silent statement that he was, undoubtedly, limitless in his potential!*

Dave was.....feeling oddly detached as he slipped on the form fitting spandex tights and boots. Ever since the 24/7 title was stripped from him, he felt so directionless and lost. Everything felt so against him that he was just so checked out at this point. He still loved wrestling. That little part of him had not changed. But he was stuck at a point in his career where he had finally been stopped by the glass ceiling. It seemed impossible that he would ever be a champion people took seriously, so he might as well get used to the undercard. That was....a cheery thought.

Still, on the bright side, this was just an exhibition match. And given where Dave started in his career, he doubted it could get any worse than being a jobber again. So at worst, this was familiar ground for him. Cracking his neck, he walked out onto the ramp, giving a wave or two to the smaller crowd. The volume was still respectable, but nothing compared to the muscular man he had to face. He rolled into the ring, popping up in his corner and stretching his thin frame.

*Proceeding to blithely bounce around on the balls of his eager feet, Comet silently witnessed his impending adversary make his presence known- He was, suffice to say, alluring in his own way, maintaining a calm charm about him that the azure aerial ace respected, and as he entered, was greeted with an acknowledging head nod by the masked wonder.*

"Good luck tonight~" *His courteous well wishing emanated a strong sense of enthusiasm, free from any form of duplicity or derision- Comet was too pure to sully his reputation with mean spirited remarks.*

*Suddenly, as to break the ice between them, the bell clanged, presenting Comet with the perfect opportunity to introduce himself. Sprinting towards Dave with a spontaneous amount of momentum, he tore through the air, extending his boots for a missile drop kick aimed at his upper body!*
