Personal Information

Personality:

Lai is an incredibly polite and well-mannered young woman. Her upbringing in a deeply formal household meant that she quickly became accustomed to over the top language and customs. That being said, Lai certainly does have a wild side to her. ever since she left her family, Lai finally became free to engage in desires otherwise not afforded to her. When the situation calls for it, Lai can just as easily be loud and obnoxious, especially when she has a bottle in hand. Be kind to Lai and she will return the kindness ten fold. Cross her, and you will know only contempt and pain whenever you cross paths. Lai easily holds grudges, and is not someone worth upsetting. She is a kind friend and a fierce adversary, and leaves the decision of who you'd like to be to all that she encounters.

History:

Born in Hanan Province, China, Lai has a deep connection with her ancestral roots and the culture of the region. Raised to respect authority above all else, Lai soon became accustomed to having many of the pleasures of life denied to her. Friends and recreation were denied in favor of studies and academics. Meanwhile her parents also trained her fiercely in the ways of Kung Fu, mostly as a way to further instill a sense of discipline and stoicism into her very being. Needless to say, such discipline didn't come without some unintended consequence. Being brought up in such a restricting household, Lai couldn't help but yearn for some taste of freedom. She began drinking and partying behind her parents back, a habit that continued well into her adult years.

In her early teens, Lai seeked even more excitement and danger. She approached a muay thai master currently residing in her village. Believing the brutal art to be the exact opposite of the more disciplined Kung Fu, Lai begged the master to teach her, more so as an attempt at rebellion against her parents as opposed to a genuine desire to learn. Nevertheless Lai caught on very quick, and soon became deeply in love with the martial art. Her master eventually had to depart back to his homeland in Myanmar, and Lai begged to come with. Reluctant at first, the master eventually agreed, and Lai escaped from her family and fled to Myanmar.

Here Lai improved her skills even more, dedicating the entirety of her time to the martial art. She eventually became introduced to Burmese Bareknuckle Boxing, or Lethwei, perhaps the most brutal of all martial arts. An art that combined punches, kicks, elbows, knees and headbutts, Lai's fascination with brutal combat was immediately satisfied. At the tender age of 18, she won her first Lethwei fight, and went on to win the Myanmar championship the following year. Hot off her win and eager for even more excitement, Lai began seeking out other arenas of combat. It was the AFW that immediately caught her attentions - A league where fighters from all over the world could face each other to prove their worth.

After a heartwarming goodbye to her master, Lai set off to Tokyo, eager to tryin her hand in pro wrestling and alternate forms of fighting in an effort to prove once more her worth as a superior fighter.
