Match Type: Standard Match
Victory Conditions:
Pinfall, submission or KO.
***

The entrances had always been one of Wolf’s favorite things, even when he first got into wrestling all those years ago. You’re in the back, behind the curtains. You can’t see the crowd, but you can hear them, roaring outside like some kind of hungry, waiting beast. Your blood runs hot and you heart beats like a Sousa march, because you know that, in one or two minutes, you’ll be fighting against someone and doing what you love most in life, and maybe, just maybe, people will be watching this match for years to come. Every match is another chance to make history.

He loved it, and the only thing that could make it better was doing it with his daughter. It was just a shame that she didn’t have the same enthusiasm.

Wolf found himself in the gorilla position, waiting for his match to begin, doing a few stretches to get nice and limber and trying hard to ignore that his daughter seemed more interested in whatever was going on with Instagram right now than the match he was about to head into. It had taken a nigh Herculean effort to just get her to show up, get in costume, and accompany him for this singles match, but getting her to take it seriously was on another level. ”Cub.” He groaned and rolled his neck around until he got an audible crack out of it. ”Put down the phone for the next ten minutes, okay? For me.”

Cheyenne groaned and looked up from her glowing screen, challenging him to a brief staring contest - which he won, thankfully, as she acquiesced to his request and stuffed the phone into her skirt, albeit with the most reluctant of frowns. ”Daaaaaaaaad. Come on.” She huffed and pouted. ”Explaint to me why I’m here when this isn’t even a tag match? Really? Why can’t I just watch from the skybox?”

”Because I pay your cell phone bill, for starters.” Cheyenne started to roll her eyes at that, but stopped halfway. She knew better. ”And aside from that, it’s a learning experience. You’ll pick up more at ringside than in the stands, trust me.”

By that, he meant that having her close would allow him to make sure that her eyes didn’t wander to far from the places they were supposed to be. And speaking of which…

”Mr. Wolf?” A stagehand peeked from around the corner as Wolf’s theme music began playing. ”You’re up.”

With that cue, Wolf strode out from behind the curtain with a stuffy Cheyenee behind him, waving to the crowd as they made their way down the ramp. The people were surprisingly receptive, given their lackluster debut, probably just to give the veteran wrestler some respect. Crowds like that were part of the reason he was happy to come to Japan, even if it was for a questionable league like the AFW. Traditional folk.

Considering what he knew about his opponent, though, he wasn’t sure that goodwill would last.

He did his best to push it out of his mind, though, as he rolled into the ring and popped up to his feet, bouncing on his heels to stay limber. Wolf threw another sharp glance at Cheyenne as she circled the ring, and he was treated with the sight of her holding up the empty palms. ”No phone!” She gave him two thumbs up and a big, fake grin to go along with it.

Wolf responded with a nod, then turned his attention to the curtain as his music started to fade. Almost time...

Natsu Arisawa@NatsuFast

Seconds away from throwing down with THE Wolf-Man himself...
No, not that one, the one with red-hair WinkWinkWink...still MAJORLY psyched though.
Quite the step up from beating up bullies in a parking lot, but hopefully just as fun!!!
Wish me luck!!! #LifeGoals...#BurgerQueen...#Flowerchild

In spite of missing her big bro lots at certain times, one benefit to not having her brother around was the unlimited time she could now devote to her Twittering talents. Ones which were being utilized tons since she'd been catapulted up the Tension rankings and out from the lower dredges of untelevised house shows and lame-o pre-shows. YEP...no longer was she on the bottom of the Tension totem pole where unproven rookies were given the unholy task of laundry duty. A free woman, she was. And one gaining serious momentum after coming out victorious in her brawling slugfest with the "Burger King" Gai Tendo and handing the king a royal beatdown. But jokes aside, the dude was a seriously accomplished MMA fighter. And the fact she knocked him silly on two separate occasions was the perfect kick in the butt her waning AFW career was needing. Her Twitter followers quadrupled overnight, she was actually getting BILLED on matches...and now she was due to square off with a for reals accomplished professional grappler and stuff. The giddy school-girl had never been this popular in her whole entire life~...but she had to thank several people for getting her here. Including her older brother Goto...whom she hoped was doing alright wherever he was and watching her right now...and who she had no intention to disappoint tonight!!!

"Ms. Arisawa...that's your cue-"

"Ok yeah sure, just smile real quick~..."

The frazzled backstage worker just barely managing to work up a half-smile when the chipper Natsu cozied up beside him for the selfie picture she would take, completing her tweet before sending it out with a giggle. She handed off her cellphone to the main producer guy and jogged up to the black curtain before stepping out with a flourish to her peppy theme song, decked out in her high-school seifuku comprised of her naval blue skirt, white top, sparring gloves, bright red bloomers and Converse sneakers. Exuding youthful cheerfulness and spirited determination through her bright smile and proud stance, taking in the actual fan appreciation and enjoying every iota of it considering she'd started from the bottom. A skipping bit of jogging taking her down the ramp with a billowing flutter to her white headband until she reached the ring, than hoping up the apron in one jump in a bit of athletic showmanship and a callback to her days jumping over hurdles in track and field practice. She entered the ring and rotated her arms, spying the bored looking girl at ringside with glasses before turning her head at-"WHOOA...Cooool...Mister, you've got huuuuuge muscles!!! You're almost as jacked as my brother!!!...almost. HEY, I've been working out too, wanna see?!" Regardless of what he answered, Natsu would roll back one of her sleeves and flex her bicep...definitely pronounced muscle there...but not anywhere near on the level of her opponent.

Wolf wasn’t sure what to make of the woman coming down to the ring. While he would be lying if he said he wasn’t a product of his time, he was trying to have a more modern appreciation for the role of women in wrestling, be a little more accepting. That said, he still felt that certain lines should be drawn, and that not all women should be wrestling with all men. Needless to say, the idea of 50 year old man tussling with a girl in a skimpy skirt who wasn’t even half his age or weight…

Well. He would try to take a diplomatic approach to this.

Cheyenne, of course, had a different kind of reaction altogether. ”Whoo! Natsu-Chan, love the outfit!” Wolf broke his gaze from the ramp long enough to throw her a sharp glare, but his daughter just shrugged it off with an innocent smile. ”Oh, what? You can make me come here, but you can’t tell me who to root for.”

Shaking his head, Wolf just folded up his arms as Natuko entered the ring, brimming with energy from head to toe. She had the right spirit for a wrestler, he would give her that much, though he wished they would pair her with someone closer to her age and skill level. She couldn’t have been wrestling all that long, why not start her lower on the card?

Wolf was starting to wonder if management was expecting some kind of Dasher situation out of him when Natsu went ahead and spoke up, addressing him straight on with...a complement? Not the kind of trashtalk he was used to starting a match out with, but he'd take it. ”Oh, ah...thank you? Thank you.” He unfolded his arms and leaned forward, getting a better look at her musculature, such as it was. ”That’s not bad. Ahem.”

Taking a step back, he raised his arms and bent his knees, moving into his grappling stance and beckoning her on. No need to draw this at. ”I’m ready to start when you are, miss. Fair warning, though - I won’t be holding back.”

From the ringside, he could hear Cheyenne groaning. ”Ohmygawd, Dad, could you be anymore condescending?”

Natsu's tongue protruded out the side of her mouth as she flexed her bicep to show off her guns, although to be quite honest, they were more like sidearm pistols compared to the big ol' bazooka's Wolf was carrying. Which was to be expected considering she never concentrated on bulking up anyway, all those excess muscles would just slow her down anyhoo. Not good when being fast on her feet was kinda key to being a scrappy fighter like her. But she just figured since joining Tension, a wrestling organization, she oughta do a little more muscle training if she was going to be potentially lifting dudes around and junk. Comparing Wolf to her big bro was a ginormic compliment in her book, so she was grateful that he saw it as such. But after a minute or so she abandoned her flexing, worried she was going to pop a blood-vessel if she strained herself anymore. But her attention zipped between Wolf and the lady at ringside as she rolled her sleeve back down, waving her hands innocently in front of her.

"OHNONONO, IT'S ALRIGHT. You're actually being waaaaaaay more cool with everything than the last guy I had to tangle with around here. You're not blind-siding me, or calling me an insolent child who has no right facing the greatest fighter in the world...blahblahblah Have it your way at Burger King~..."
Natsu imitating Gai Tendo as best she could with an arrogant bad-guy frown, admittedly taking some liberties at the end there but she figured she earned the right to poke some fun at him by now. Than abandoning her parody with a chuckle, bowing deeply as a sign of fighterly respect, and adopting a more traditional striker's stance, leg's apart and gloved fists balled but not too tightly. "...*giggle*...so it's cool. I actually appreciate the warning, and you not holding back. Cause I sure ain't gonna be..." Natsu remarked with a competitive smile to match her fiery spirit, the bell ringing and signaling they were off to the races. The schoolgirl stepping forward but not too close, bouncing on her feet and attempting a swift sidekick to under Wolf's arm to the side of his abdomen.

Wolf wasn’t trying to be ‘condescending’, and he was glad it didn’t come off that way. He wasn’t too impressed with Natsuko at first glance, but then, why would he be? He didn’t know her, hadn’t seen her matches. He heard good things about her backstage, but it wasn’t much to go on. All he knew was that she was a fresh, young prospect on a small hot streak. But the thing about hot streaks? They always ended.

So he was going serious. It was the best compliment one wrestler could give to another, as far as he saw it.

To Natsuko’s credit, if she was worried, she didn’t show it. In fact, Wolf was surprised by the energy she came out of the gate with, lashing out at him with a swift kick. He started to block it, but by the time his body was on the right page, she’d already connected with the blow, cracking him in the side. It didn’t hurt too much, just made him wince, but it wasn’t something he wanted to put up with for a whole match. Needed to get his hands on her.

Not deterred, Wolf surged forward and lashed out, swinging his arm towards her head with a mighty lariat. He didn’t have high hopes on it connecting, but even if it didn’t, it was putting the pressure on her, working to keep her moving. The energy she spent on dodging, the less she could spend on dodging.

Alright so Natsu's last mainstream opponent didn't exactly set a sky-high bar for other people to surpass. That guy being a primo jerk-wad whom she was starting to suspect didn't even like Burger King in the first place. But so far this Wolf dude seemed okay...ish. Just came across like a stuffed shirt who took his fighting profession super seriously and probably couldn't remember when was the last time he had a gut-busting laugh...Okay now Natsu was really beginning to internally notice the eerie similarities between Wolf and her older brother. Playing the mediator between him and his daughter at ringside already kinda gave her a firm understanding of their dynamic. Hopefully one day her and Cub can have some time alone for chatting girl talk about it~...

But whatever Wolf thought of the spirited schoolgirl, he'd better not be underestimating her considering she was about to sidekick him right in the-*thwack*-...*wow okay, that did nothing.* Natsu retracting her leg and reaffirming her stance in curious surprise from how ineffective that kick was. It felt like striking a muscled tree trunk...which suddenly came barreling towards at full speed and with a cocked back arm ready to clothesline her halfway to Sunday. Reacting on instinct and nothing more, the spry schoolgirl would arch herself backwards in a bit of limboing evasion with her palm hitting the canvas to keep her upright. Stunned onlookers admiring Natsu's agility before she flipped over and faced Wolf as he turned around to witness Nat leaping upward, and shooting out both of her sinewy legs in an attempted dropkick right to his pectorals.

Wolf prided himself on his lariat, would claim that, even with his old age, he still had one of the best ones in the game, up there with Bomber Kirishima. It was all in the followthrough, in his experience. You had to really dedicate yourself to the move, fall into it. A proper lariat could end a match before it began.

If it hit. Only if it hit.

That wasn’t the case with this one. Natsuko showed some impressive agility, leaning back and making Wolf at just the right moment. He was thrown forward by his own momentum, and when he finally managed to get it together and turn back around, she had a little surprise waiting for him.

Her dropkick slammed into his chest, and while it wasn’t enough force to knock him down, it was more than enough to knock him back. He found his back against the ropes and stumbled forward from their bounce, needing a solid second to plant his foot and establish a base. Shaking it off as best as he could, he tried to lock on Natsuko and get a handle on the girl, figure out what her next move would be before she caught him off guard.

Natsu would like to say that she'd planned all this out and had practiced that nimble piece of Matrix-esque evasion in previous spars or whatever...but than she'd be fibbing. And the school-girl was about as honest an engine as they come. Though that's not to say she isn't thinking about officially adding it to her repertoire to be practiced later on after seeing how well it saved her bacon against the steamrolling Mr. Hawkfield. Her unorthodox evasion allowing her to nimbly get right back on the offensive too, Natsu drop kicking her adversary right in the middle of his broad pecs to his stumbling backpedal and her immediate drop to the floor.

"...*phew*...Heh, halfway thought he was gonna tank through that one too..."
Natsu coyly stated after shuffling up to one knee, earnestly thinking Wolf was going to shake off that emphatic dropkick the same he did her earlier sidekick. But Natsu would continue to play to her strengths as she took off sprinting towards the briefly stunned Wolf to swiftly hop up and seat herself atop the buff dude's shoulders for a snug tightening of her thighs around his noggin. All while still swinging to the side for a cool-looking hurricanarana tumbling and flipping Wolf over the top ropes...in her spastic mind. In reality, Natsu was left dangling upside-down over the ropes...blinking innocently towards Cheyenne...before smiling brightly and extending her hand out for a friendly handshake.

"Wassup!! Welcome To Tension~...My name's Natsu Arisawa...*giggle*...I heard you earlier about my outfit, thanks bunches. I love your hair~...but umm, you wouldn't by chance have any tips that could help me with your Dad, would ya?"

BurgerQueen - Natsuko Arisawa vs. Wolf Hawkfield - The Way It's Done Empty Re: Natsuko Arisawa vs. Wolf Hawkfield - The Way It's Done

Post by acuyra Sun Jul 05, 2020 6:40 am

Wolf, last he checked, weighed about 200 or so pounds.

While he didn’t have Natsuko’s stats, he wagered she was coming in at around, oh, 120. Maybe, if she had some real muscle under her getup.

The point was, however much she weighed, it couldn’t have been that much. She was probably about half of him, if that much. Which made what came next rather baffling.

Wolf was just starting to stand up when he found himself far, far closer to the crotch of a girl his daughter’s age than he ever wanted to be. Sure enough, she was going for a hurricanrana, and even in this position he had to admire how well she executed it. Would’ve worked perfectly, if not for all the little details he’d just pondered. Instead, it left him standing by the ropes, awkwardly holding onto the bottom rope while she dangling off his neck. With Cheyenne nearby.

”Wait, wait, wait.” Cheyenne took a moment to bring up her phone and snap a picture of Natsuko, quickly downloading it to her instagram. She perked up quick enough, looking back at Natsuko with a wide smile. ”Cheyenne, nice meeting you, sweet. And my Dad is super slow, just kick him in the knee a lot. He’ll be like molasses.”

In a way, Wolf was glad for that comment. It almost made him totally forget how compromising this position was. ”Thank you, Cheyenne.” He grumbled before slamming his feet down on the mat, establishing a solid base for what came next. ”Now, if you’ll excuse me…”

Wolf steeled his core and reared back, lifting Natsuko back on his shoulder into the telltale powerbomb position. He was too close to the ropes for that, and didn’t want to take the time readjust, so he made the most out of the situation. Kicking out his legs, he fell backwards instead of forwards, throwing his opponent off his shoulders so she’d come down on her chest, looking to plant her hard with a Flapjack.

BurgerQueen - Natsuko Arisawa vs. Wolf Hawkfield - The Way It's Done Empty Re: Natsuko Arisawa vs. Wolf Hawkfield - The Way It's Done

Natsu always did go by the personal motto, "If it ain't broke, than don't fix it." And one awesome strategy that worked like a charm during her last throwdown against the Burger Meister, was tossing him around for a topsy-turvy spin cycle by straddling his head before a well-implemented hurricanrana. What's more, if her calculations were correct, considering Mr. Hawkfield was positioned right besides the ring ropes, she'd be sending the massively muscled grappler right over the top rope. Which she knew would not only heap on the fall damage, but also ratchet up the overall wow factor and make it a clip drowning in likes and thumbs up once it's uploaded on the website....it's just a shame Natsu happened to neglect several pertinent factors in her "calculations". Including how Wolf substantially outweighed Gai Tendo, making him nowhere near as easy to topple over...

...oh but hey, there's that girl at ringside she spotted earlier!!! Natsu perking up even in her decidedly precarious, decidedly upside-down situation. She recognized the photo-op Cheyenne was going to capitalize on, winking with a bright smile and sideways peace sign for added adorability. Natsu couldn't wait to see how that one came out. "Okay, molasses, gotcha. Thanks bunches for the info~...Hey, hit me up after the match, we can chat it up. But you can find me on Instagram and Twitter @Natsufaaaaast!!!..." The schoolgirl stretched out that last bit with a yelp upon being hoisted back up by Wolf. Reminding her that she was in the middle of a match and propping her up on his broad shoulders with her scarlet red bloomers assuredly muffed against his face. All before being launched backward with her bandana fluttering in the breeze to a pancaking splash that blasted the air out of her, the school-girl repelling up to her knees but toppling over to her side while hugging her abdomen. Squinting and huffing out air through her puffed cheeks.
