Victory Conditions: Winner is determined after one wrestler knocks out her opponent.

Cynthia Marleigh, the Empress of the Ring, was finishing getting dressed in her in-ring attire. Another night, another match. Seems ever since she and Alice made a contract and entered AFW, they've been making a name for themselves, becoming quite popular with fans. Though she did mention to the staff and the people who were scheduling their matches to slow it down for a bit, as she and Alice needed rests in between matches. That being said, the Empress had to admit this match she was looking a bit forward too. Her opponent wasn't another wrestler who was just making her name. No, she was up against a fairly well known wrestler from America, Athena Wonder. She was definitely excited for this match up, though she obviously wouldn't show it.

Once she finished getting dressed and did some quick stretches, she made her way out of the locker rooms, heading towards the arena. She could already hear the loud cheers and excitements from the crowd outside. She took a deep breath, closing her eyes, before marching out there as her theme played.

The Empress arrives.:

The crowd erupted with anticipation and cat calls as she strut down the ramp towards the ring, a dominating presence coming from her as she made way. She would leap up onto the side of the ring with a single jump, and entered the ring. She walked towards her corner, riling up the audience some more before waiting for her opponent to show up.

After Cynthia was finished with her entrance, a music was played before the Eighth Wonder herself, Athena Wonder, made her entrance. Clad in her red wrestling outfit, Athena raised her arms as the crowd popped for her. Smiling, she strutted down the ramp, giving high-fives to some of her fans. Many were looking forward to the match that would begin after this, and many were calling for the blonde veteran to emerge victorious at the end of it.

Athena Wonder:

Soon, Athena reached the ring, and she climbed up the apron before entering the ring. She flexed her arms, gaining another pop from the crowd. Placing her hands on her hips, she took a look at her opponent for tonight, and she was impressed by what she was seeing so far. "So... are you ready? Sorry in advance that you're gonna be put to sleep after this." She grinned confidently as she approached her opponent, Cynthia. She wanted to see how her opponent would respond to her banter.

Cynthia watched with steely cold eyes from her corner as the Eighth Wonder would exit from backstage and into the arena, majority of the audience clearly showing who they were supporting for this match tonight. She took note how the blonde veteran was able to excite the crowd with just her mere presence, having a somewhat satisfying charisma around herself. Though that didn't matter, what mattered in the end for a wrestling match was not one's charisma, but the wrestler's skills.

Cynthia would get out from her corner as Athena had entered the ring, giving the audience a little gun show before starting some small banter before the mach began. Cynthia had her arms folded underneath her chest, and had this aloof feeling about her, taking a moment to think before responding. "A wrestler always needs to be ready once they're in the ring. Other wise they won't be able to give it their absolute all once the match begins," Cynthia replied before getting ready, "And should you really be apologizing to the person who's going to put you to bed?" Seemed Cynthia enjoyed this little pre-match banter until the bell rang.

Cynthia would tense up, her arms raised, offering a test of strength between the two wrestlers as a mean to start the match off. This way she could get a feel around for how strong the Eighth Wonder really was.

Athena chuckled upon hearing her opponent's response, and she was looking forward to win this match. And so, she would wait until the bell was rung so that she could get into a stance, getting ready to engage her opponent in a grapple. Seeing Cynthia offering a test of strength, the Eighth Wonder saw no need to decline as she would bring up her arms, preparing to lock up both her hands with her opponent's. She would surge forward, latching both her hands with Cynthia's in the contest of strength.

As soon as their hands locked up with each other, Athena would begin pushing, mustering her strength into her arms, her muscles flexing underneath the tight fabric of her outfit. She grunted as she exerted herself, planting her feet against the canvas as she tried to gain an upper hand over her opponent in the test of strength. The crowd cheered and hollered as they watched both beauties pressing and pushing against each other in their quest for supremacy.

Cynthia could tell that this would be quite the match she would enjoy. During her career in indie circuits before coming to AFW, she rarely found people that would give her this excited anticipation. Perhaps it may be because she was a veteran and the wrestler in her was expecting great things, or perhaps it was just the adrenaline. After all, her expectation for AFW wrestlers skyrocketed after her debut match. If all the wrestlers here are capable of showing off their own beauty in wrestling, then she had no complaints. But it didn't do her any good to have her mind clouded and distracted, so the moment the bell rang, she brought herself back to focus.

The mach began, and the two women locked into each other, grabbing onto one another arms and pushing. Cynthia's arms flexed and tensed up as she would push back against the Wonder's attempt. A powerhouse against a powerhouse, and from what Cynthia could gather in this test of strength, they were nearly matched. But that wouldn't stop the Empress from dominating. She narrowed her eyebrows and would attempt to lift one foot up before stomping it forward, trying to butt heads with the Wonder, and pushing back even harder.

Pushing against each other, it was clear that both Athena and Cynthia were evenly matched in terms of physical strength. Athena made sure to exert her strength more into her push, hoping to gain a small victory in their test of strength. Cynthia certainly showed herself to be a formidable opponent, but Athena was certain that she would emerge at the top at the end of this. With her boots skidding against the canvas, Athena would keep pushing, hoping that Cynthia would eventually succumb to her might.

But then, Cynthia decided to do something drastic, in which she suddenly hit the Eighth Wonder with a headbutt right to her forehead. "UGH!!!" The collision of their heads was enough to send Athena reeling, and being distracted, Athena found herself being overwhelmed by her opponent. "Nghhhh...!!!" Grimacing as her head was still ringing, Athena desperately tried to push back, but it was clear now that she was about to be beaten in their test of strength.

Pushing back and forth, a battle to assert dominance early in the match. The first one to back down and give their opponent an upper hand would surely be at a disadvantage. Seemed Cynthia was able to push back the Wonder with the sudden burst of momentum from the stomp forward, however she was slowly recovering back. The Empress of the Ring was going to need to do something else other than play this test of strength, and so she reeled her head back to headbutt her opponent! And it seemed Cynthia's first move was able to give her that advantage she was looking for, because after headbutting Athena, causing her to reel back.

While Athena was dazed and still recovering from the sudden headbutt, Cynthia actually broke off from the test of strength, now having a good gauge of her opponent's physical prowess, and swiftly tried to get behind her. Once she did so, she wrapped her arms tightly around Athena's waist, and threw herself backwards, slamming Athena headfirst into the canvas with a German suplex!

Dazed and reeling from the sudden headbutt from her opponent, Athena was unable to see what Cynthia was going to do next. As she struggled to recover, her opponent had already made her move, swiftly slipping to her back before wrapping her arms around her waist. Unable to stop her opponent, Athena was then hoisted up before thrown down into the mat, crashing on the back of her shoulders and head in the German suplex!

"UOGHH!!!"

Athena cried out as she crashed onto the mat, her body folding as she crashed. The pain made it hard for the Eighth Wonder to think, and after being brought down into the mat with the move, Athena fell down to her side, moaning in pain. Things didn't look too good for the blonde veteran at the moment, and she had to do something before Cynthia could come up with her next move. Her head throbbed painfully not only from the suplex, but also from the headbutt earlier.

The opening she had seized was a success. After causing Athena to reel back in pain and daze, the Empress moved behind the blonde veteran in order to wrap her arms around their waist. Showing off a great amount of strength and flexibility, Cynthia threw her upper body backwards in order to slam the Wonder into the canvas with the German suplex. The ring shook for a moment as Cynthia quickly let go of her opponent. She watched Athena fall to her side and moan in pain. If she was like this, then Cynthia could capitalize on this too. She knew she needed to act before her opponent fully recovered, so she decided to kick Athena in the side to roll her onto her front!

After doing so, she would quickly get down on to the ground with the Wonder in order to wrap her arms and hands around her face and head, and then pulling back, locking in a crossface! Cynthia would pull back substantially as she tried to cross her legs over one of Athena's just to add a bit more damage if she could.

Athena was on the mat, hurting from both the headbutt and the German suplex. As she was laid out on the mat, she was then rolled over onto her front by Cynthia, who kicked her at her side to roll her over. "Urghh...!!" She groaned in pain as she ended up onto her belly, still hurting. As she tried to get her mind back in order, Athena was then put into a crossface by her opponent, who began yanking at her head, causing intense pain around her neck.

"UUOOHHH!!!"

Athena's eyes widened as she cried out in pain from the hold. She knew that things would get worse if she remained trapped in the hold, so she had to do something. When Cynthia tried to cross her legs over one of hers, Athena would make sure to foil her plan by pressing her knees against the canvas before pushing herself up, displaying her strength despite her being trapped in the painful submission hold. Athena wasn't going to succumb to the hold this early, and she would show it to everyone what she was made of!
