As Theo prepared to launch himself out of the corner, he could see that Gyuri was no longer in the ideal position for his move, but he didn’t bother to change plans. He was committed to this, 100%, and he knew that, if he didn’t pull this off, there wouldn’t be any second chances for either of them. Yes, it would make for an awkward landing that would no doubt suck, but it would suck worse her, since she was going to play the role of his landing pad. It was a sacrifice he was willing to make it if meant winning this match against all odds.

He took flight, flipped through the air, and-

...and…

From Theo’s vantage point, everything just went dark all of the sudden, with no clear explanation, as if someone turned his brain off like a switch. From Willy and the rest of the wrestling world’s vantage point, however, things were a bit more complicated. Gyuri had been done, dead on her feet, finished, and then out of nowhere she’d had this impossible surge of speed. She snatched Theo out of the air, brought him down to the earth, and smashed his face into her shoulder, in a move that couldn’t have been better timed if Theo had told her where to be in advance.

Theo landed on his feet and shot straight up, standing with her face towards the ceiling. He was perfectly erect for a precious moment, before gravity took over and sent him tumbling backwards, falling flat on the floor, perfectly still save for the steady rise and fall of his chest.

”Well.” Willy looked on with his arms draped over the middle rope, still struggling to comprehend what had just occurred. ”Shit.”

Gyuri lay blinking on the mat, staring up at the looming form of Theo as he sprang upright from her big move. Holy shit he was going to kill her. Her pupils rattled a bit in her eyes, holding a deep breath. She didn't think she had anything else left to gi-... Then Theo dropped to the mat, the impact of his limp body making her bounce on the floor as the ring shook. She did it? She did it!

Just as she laid her head back to the mat, content to draw in deep breaths of air and lay here awhile, a sharp voice cut through the roaring crowd. "그를 끝내라!" It make the Korean girl's spring up like a frightened cat. That's right, it wasn't over yet!

She tried to sit herself up but found her body give out, dropping her back to the mat with a huff. She rolled over onto her stomach, crawling across the canvas to slip up beside Theo. With a strained, tired grunt she draped her arm over his chest and let her face fall into his shoulder, breathing out heavily into his jacket.

"One!"

"Two!"

”3…!”

Theo awoke the moment he heard that number being called out, though it took a moment for him to process why it was happening. Where was he? Was the match still on? He’d just been flying through the air, about to come down on Gyuri, when it all just went blank. Bam. It couldn’t have been because he screwed up the move, he was sure of that, he wasn’t close enough to the canvas to smack his face on the mat.

...did she hit him with a move? While he was in mid-air? How? There was no way she could have timing like that, and what move could she have even countered with? It didn’t make any sense, and yet, as he looked up and laid there, as he heard the crowd cheer and Sucker Punch’s music played, it was the only conclusion he could draw. He didn’t know how, and he likely wouldn’t until he saw the replay, but she’d countered his finisher.

Wow.

He tried to raise up, managed to just get his head off the canvas, then plopped back down. He’d need a little more time before the rest of his body could get with the program and stand up. ”How...how did you...damn it.”

"나도 몰라…" She muttered softly into Theo's shoulder, seemingly having no plans of moving as well for the next hundred or so years. After a few beats she turned her head, resting her smooshed cheek against him before responding in English with "Skill." She snickered softly to accompany it knowing he was none the wiser to what she had inadvertently said at first.

Viper sat herself down on the second rope, letting her weight weigh it down. She was providing an opening for her partner to leave through… but Gyuri wasn't coming. She gave the girl a moment. While she wouldn't show any concerns she had, the Korean had taken quite the beating tonight from Blazewave. Aside from a few hiccups, she should be proud. This was her moment, the crowd was electric from that finish, changing their name and poorly trying to mimic the pre-recorded rapping that was playing with Gyuri not able to do it live.

It was time to get up. Not that she wanted to, but the idea of a bit bubble bath and collapsing into her bed were starting to seem far more alluring then laying about in the ring regardless of how good a pillow Theo made. She dragged her arm off of his body, slowly pushing herself up to her hands and knees. Looking over the blond, she smirked down at him and reached out to give his cheek a light playful slap as if trying to wake someone up.

"Better luck next time, baby." Spoken in broken English and punctuated with a wink before she pushed herself up to her feet with a stagger. Just the act of getting up had left her a bit winded, a testimony to just how exhausting this match had been for her. Taking careful steps she made her way to Viper, completely forgetting she had tossed her bandana down in the ring mid match, leaving it behind.

When it became apparent Gyuri was struggling, Viper threw an arm around the girl to help her out of the ring and kept it over her when they went up the ramp. She was able to straighten out the Korean's stance and take on most of her weight to keep her looking strong. Both women moved towards the entryway passing under a longer blacklight spotlight still glowing down from the stage which illuminated Viper's jacket.

"Baddest Bitch on the Planet"

Now they knew. The world knew.

Sucker Punch slipped past the curtains and were gone.
