The smoke made her eyes water. A cough welled up inside of her and she fought it off. It was time to focus. It was past time to focus. Jessica did her best to kill all the parts of her that were not entirely dedicated to removing this woman's head from her shoulders, and the inherent bloodthirst and hours of training she possessed meant that she was more than up to the task. She sensed the woman standing, and ambled in the direction of the odious one.

A brutal scene stood out stark against the smoke. The masked stranger was standing over her with a bat, and something primal engaged in Jessica. Without even recognizing what she was doing, Jessica exploded forwards. All of the worries of the blows she had taken or the smoke cleared like mist on a summer's day. Only the white hot rage of the sun was there to carry her through now.

She took one great step forward, and then soared through the air. Both of her long legs were outstretched, aimed at this woman's upper back. There was no way she could see it coming. And there was no way it would not hurt the same way as getting hit by a cannonball.
