Bouncing Back

Submission holds were the bane of Carmen’s existence. Since day one in the AFW, they were a pain for her to deal with, the glaring hole in her defenses, and even now, after she’d held a title and fought just about every man worth noting in Tension, they were still a sore spot, in every meaning of the phrase.

One of these days, she was going to get someone to teach her better ways of escaping them than grabbing the ropes. Maybe Alicia could do it after she was done crushing her bones. Lovely thought.

Carmen slammed her fist into the floor and started to push her way up, stumbling once on the way up, ”Thanks for letting go so quick. Appreciate that.” She took a quick breath. ”Nice to see not everything my brother said about you was true.”

Carmen stood all the way up, straightened out, gingerly standing on  her aching leg, careful to apply pressure. Definitely a problem, but one she was determined to work through. [ color=#800000]”All right.”[/color] She raised her fist and lowered her stance, getting back into the rhythm. ”Let’s try that again.”
