Contendership Round 2: Chigusa Yuuki Vs. Athena Asahara

Chigusa pressed her advantage. She was faster than Athena, even though she wasn't quite as fresh. She was fairly surprised when Athena did a backflip to avoid hitting the mat, not getting hurt by the sweep kick. But Chigusa was still one move ahead. When Athena finishes flipping, Chigusa would attempt to grab Athena around the waist before she could get her guard up and try a belly-to-belly suplex, throwing Athena over her and making her land on her chest.

Athena thought she was in clear as she was able to avoid hitting the mat, but she was taken by surprise when Chigusa grabbed her after her last flip and Chigusa's arms were firmly around her waist. Athena was then flipped over head by Chigusa's belly-to-belly slam.

"Crap that didn't go so well." Athena said. Her wrestling knowledge told her to turn so that she wasn't on her chest and was able to turn on her back, but would try to quickly get up before Chigusa got up from her belly-to-belly slam she had just performed.

"She recovering quicker than I can keep her down," Chigusa thought. Even though she had the energy boost, she was still getting worn down quickly. Her muscles were still tired and she hadn't eaten any extra food, so her reserves were getting depleted very quickly. "This is only a challenge," Chigusa thought, "Just another fight. Keep on going!" She got up right around when Athena got up, putting up her defenses quickly. She thought Athena wouldn't be so quick after getting slammed onto the mat like that, so she attacked again. They were very close, so Chigusa would try a spinning kick to Athena's side to bring her down to the mat.

Athena was a little slow to get back up as she was still feeling the effects of Chigusa's belly-to-belly slam. She looked up and saw Chigusa go into a spin and raised her foot for what looked like a spin kick.

"This might hurt both of us, but I have no time to counter." Athena said to herself as she brought her leg up in a last minute defense against the spin kick.

Chigusa's leg slammed right into Athena's. While it didn't land on the spot she thought it should've landed, Chigusa knew Athena was hurt. Chigusa's leg felt like it got broken by the blow. She gritted her teeth, not crying out, limping back a few steps and resuming her defensive position. It was an unorthodox counter, but it had worked. Chigusa's blow had been blocked and she had been hurt badly.

"Damn... my leg..." Chigusa thought, "It's not broken I think... but oww."

Athena's body shook with pain after the defensive blow. "OW! Man that smarts." She said to herself rubbing her leg to get feeling back in it. She begin to laugh a bit and then looked at Chigusa with a smile. "I'm a pretty unorthodox kinda of fighter aren't I Chigusa?" She asked wondering what her thoughts were on the weird block she had just done.

The pain subsided fairly quickly for Chigusa. Though her leg remained sore where it struck Athena's, and a large bruise was slowly forming, Chigusa hadn't hurt her leg enough to really damage it. She put her weight on her leg, finding it ok enough to hold her with no problems.

"That was pretty unorthodox," Chigusa said, "But you must've hurt yourself as well." Chigusa dashed forward, a bit slower than before, but still very fast. "And you won't be as fast as before!" Chigusa said as she tried to tackle Athena in the gut to knock her to the ground.

"Yeah just like ur leg mine does hurt as well, but I am more use to this kind of pain due to the way I wrestle, which is unusal, but I think you figured that out already." Athena said as she prepared herself.

Chigusa ran at her, but appeared to be slow then Athena was quickly tackled when Chigusa closed the gap between them. "Ok here we go now the real wrestling can start." Athena said trying to lock Chigusa's head under her arm when they went down to the mat.

Chigusa's shoulder rammed into Athena's gut as she took her down to the mat. But Chigusa didn't escape unscathed; she was quickly trapped in the facelock and unable to break out. She didn't try to pull out, knowing that in this fast paced battle any moves that were inneffective gave the opponent the advantage. So she reached her arms around Athena's shoulders and rocked hard to the side, attempting to roll over so she was on the bottom and Athena would have a bit more awkward grip. She would also try to trap Athena in a bodyscissor if she rolled Athena over.

Athena put a bit more pressure on Chigusa's neck with her face lock, but then felt her begin to rock back and forth. Athena would try and get her footing steady, but Chigusa was able to roll over giving her the bottom postition. Athena still struggling to keep Chigusa's head in the face lock then felt Chigusa's legs wrap around her waist. "NNNH!" Athena grunted letting go of the face lock and tried to pry Chigusa's legs off her.
